MM34158****Let me first acknowledge the advantages of this newly opened hotel, which has only been open for a month: the staff were very warm and attentive; the hot spring has five pools, which are quite comfortable; and the breakfast was decent with a relatively wide variety of options. Now, let me share some personal observations. I booked a ”two-bedroom family room” in advance because it suited our family size and the price was attractive. I booked two nights directly, but throughout the entire check-in process, I never saw the room type I had booked, or even the room I had requested. Upon check-in, I was told, ”The room type you booked is no longer available.” I was puzzled; if it was a ”reservation,” how could it be unavailable? The reply was that there might be a system problem, but they were willing to upgrade my room. We initially thought the hotel was being sincere in resolving the issue, and since we were traveling with elderly relatives and children, we wanted a smooth and enjoyable trip, so we accepted without much thought. However, upon checking in, we found a room with a pungent smell of renovation emanating from the door, large bulges in the floor, a bunk bed with no mattress and as hard as the floor, and extensive water leakage on the ceiling! We're not here to cause trouble... we certainly don't want to make things difficult for anyone or ruin anyone's reputation... so I didn't even take any photos. I just called the lobby again, compromised again, and asked to be changed to two double rooms... (Actually, according to our original plan, we were all staying in one room, and a lot of our luggage was mixed up. Changing to two rooms would undoubtedly add a lot of trouble... but considering the feelings of the elderly and children, I kept my composure and resolved the issue with a smile.) Finally, we got a double room where we could sleep. In the elevator, we even met other guests who were changing rooms... I suddenly realized that this might be a ”fishing” marketing tactic? They attract bookings with attractive room types and prices, then tell guests upon arrival that there are no rooms available. Most tourists will be too lazy to go through the hassle and accept the arrangement... Actually, there are many hotels and room types to choose from in the Changbai Mountain West Scenic Area, and the competition is quite fierce... We definitely had more options... Thank you for reading this far. I hope you can learn from this experience. If you encounter similar problems, don't hand over your ID card to check in immediately. Check the room type first to avoid being scammed...
