Fukuyama Hotels with Swimming Pools

Stayed 4 nights in semi-double room. Room is located a couple minutes outside the train and bus station but we had a little trouble finding it since part of the facade was covered for renovation work. It is a grand, old-fashioned hotel but it is well-maintained and nice that the ”old” touches are still there (telephone in the bathroom, coasters for drink glasses). Positives: room was large and functional. I believe all the rooms that face the castle are even larger. There was plenty of space for our luggage and it was great to have a decent table as well as a desk space to work from. Wired internet and wifi worked well. We tried both the Japanese and the breakfast buffet - both delicious. As other reviews have noted, the French toast is especially scrumptious! Also nice that the breakfast lasts a little longer than in most hotels. Negatives: old-fashioned but most of Fukuyama seems from the same era. Housekeeping was generally excellent but on one day, our room hadn't been made up and it was already 3:30 pm. Overall, a great place to stay in Fukuyama.

Not much to say, I am very satisfied. It is quite satisfactory for a hotel I have stayed in Japan. The bed is very comfortable and the space is large enough. Fukuyama Castle is right next to it and you can also go sightseeing. Although there is nothing to see, it is recommended.

We stayed here to see the team lab ”Light Festival” at Fukuyama Castle. This is the second time I use it. It was a room with a view of Fukuyama Castle in front of me. I was impressed to see the whole of the ”Light Festival” from the window of the room at night. The room is clean and clean. I'm glad that the bathroom is separate. It's nice to have a large bath. The location is right next to Fukuyama Station (you can see the departure and arrival of Shinkansen and trains from the window lol), there are many restaurants, and the bus terminal is right next to it, so it is convenient to move anyway. Breakfast is a cafe on the first floor. It's a pity that it's not a buffet style for me, but if you can choose Japanese or Western style, the call bell will ring, so it's a style to go pick it up by yourself.

While looking for a place to break up our Western Japan road trip and unwind for 2 nights in a small, luxury property, we settled on Migiwatei Ochi Kochi, a high-end ryokan in the port town of Tomonoura. Pouring through articles and reviews (mostly in Japanese), we felt that it would offer large, comfortable rooms with great views, easy access to (leisurely) sightseeing and great food. As we had hoped, Miguwatei Ochi Kochi perfectly fit the bill for us. The ryokan is a relatively small property with just 17 rooms, but comes with all of the amenities one would expect from a much larger luxury hotel. It was built in 2010, so it's still relatively fresh and new, with very little sign of wear and tear. While it lacks a tranquil garden that some luxury ryokans have (think Asaba in the Izu Peninsula), its calling card is the view from both its common area and all of its guestrooms - they all have unobstructed views of the Seto Inland Sea, as well as of the Bentenjima and Sensuijima Islands not far away. It's makes for a really relaxing vibe, which combines well with the modern Japanese architecture and decor, which suits this ryokan very nicely. We stayed in an ”Upper Suite Room”, the top room category at the ryokan, and features a bedroom and living room as well as a very nice open-air Onsen (hot springs) bath on the room terrace. It's sufficiently large enough to relax and not feel cramped, and - as a bonus - we had meals served in our own room (which is something that is slowly disappearing from even the top ryokans), which we love. The room was stylish without being cluttered, and its earthly tones gave us a warm, welcoming feeling. The property also has two private baths that can be rented - free of charge - by guests. It's obviously larger than the Onsen bath in the guest rooms, so it was a nice change of pace to try it out. Our first night's meal was otherworldly. This ranks among the top 10 meals we've had in a Japanese ryokan. Sure, they have the advantage of getting access to the bounty of seafood, vegetables and meats from the area, but the kitchen staff then take it and make it truly memorable. Yes, it's technically Kaiseki (like at most ryokans), but Migiwatei Ochi Kochi's dinners are exquisitely presented, uniquely prepared and flavored, and meticulously explained (in Japanese to us, mind you) by the servers. We loved the Conger Eel sashimi, which was a first for us. Conger Eel is a delicacy in Japan, but not so unique that it's not offered in many restaurants. But to be served Conger Eel Sashimi, along with the raw liver of the Conger Eel, was definitely a privilege... often in Japan, along with Sashimi comes the liver of the seafood (especially Eel, Abalone, Octopus, etc.), which means that it's FRESH. One seafood that I generally do not like is Mantis Shrimp, but here, it was pretty darned good, which is saying a lot - I've tried liking it before, but never had one that didn't gross me out. I stayed in a single room with him for one night. The car stopped at a nearby shopping mall parking lot for 700 yen a night. I got a PET bottle of water at the front desk😊 The room was happy to see the Shinkansen in the corner room 🚄 The room was also large, and the bed was also 2 people, and I could sleep slowly. The pillow was good with a height. I thought it was convenient with a range 🍱 I think it was a hotel with no complaints. It was a very helpful hotel at an affordable hotel. I would like to stay if I come to Fukuyama again 👍🏠

I always stay at this hotel when I'm on a business trip. I wanted to change my taste, but I regretted it too late. After that, I simply didn't think about it so much. I had to stay here! The reason is simple. The breakfast is quite complete, the lobby is clean and tidy, there are hot springs, and there are many parking spaces.

I always use this hotel when I stay in Fukuyama. The first time I stayed there, I borrowed a lamp, and they always prepare one in the room for me, which I'm very grateful for. I always have a comfortable stay. The beds are spacious, and the bathroom and toilet are separate, so I always feel like I'm back in my own room. There aren't many types of breakfast, but it tastes good and I always enjoy it. There are restaurants and convenience stores just a short walk away. Best of all, I think it's great that parking is free.

The room is small and not auto lock . Is it cheap and breakfast near the station? I thought the convenience store was one of the seven eleven under the station elevated on the way from the station to the hotel. It was a simple buffet breakfast, but it was the level that the staff was prepared for the time being by the management of 々.

The hotel was clean and the amenities were substantial and I could go lightly. When I went without bringing a free hair iron, I was told that I was renting out for two days I was staying, and I couldn't use it after all. When I made a reservation on the net, I made a reservation in the first grader of elementary school, but the bed was not walled, and it was impossible to move because it was a fairly large bed. I had adult clothes and slippers, but the children were not prepared to go to the lobby. I didn't have a child's pillow and I applied for an adult, but I thought that there was a child's pillow on the net, and it was too insufficient to prepare for the child. The child's breakfast fee was charged by adding it from the online reservation fee, and I was confused because I didn't know what the plus fee was. Luggage storage after check-out was saved.
