"I chose this hotel purely for its location in the ”Tenjin shopping district,” and only after checking in did I realize it offered ”all-around convenience.” You can easily handle all your shopping and dining needs within walking distance – just around the corner downstairs is the Aeon supermarket, super convenient for snacks, souvenirs, or emergency items. If you want to try local flavors, you don't have to go far; the highly-rated Shinshin Ramen is nearby. After a tiring day of exploring, a bowl of tonkotsu ramen is wonderfully satisfying.
For a hotel in a major shopping hub, the biggest surprise was the room size. It was significantly more spacious than other budget hotels I've stayed in. I could open up my 28-inch suitcase, and there was still plenty of space to walk around and put my carry-on bags without feeling cramped like a ”small box.” Plus, getting to the airport is super convenient; from the subway station near the hotel, it's just a few stops to Fukuoka Airport. No need to rush or meticulously plan your travel time way in advance, which is fantastic for travelers with luggage."
"I was given a room which had smoking odour. The bed smell like a bar. I requested to change the room after staying in for 2 hours and could not stand it. The staff assisted to change my room. The room is really small. We can't open two luggage at the same time. It is not really worth it to stay in this hotel at the price per night other than it's excellent location. They provide free sake for hotel guest for their welcome drink, see picture."
"The hotel offers comprehensive facilities, and the room was equipped with an air purifier. It was quite clean and surprisingly spacious. The location is excellent, being close to Watanabedori Subway Station and popular attractions such as Tenjin Underground Shopping Center and Canal City Hakata. There's a 7-Eleven and a sizable supermarket right outside, which makes buying breakfast and fruits very convenient. The hotel lobby is on the 3rd floor and is quite spacious. When I accidentally scalded my hand with hot water, the front desk staff immediately provided an ice pack for prompt treatment. I really appreciated their quick assistance."
"The location is incredibly convenient, right next to the subway station. It's also just a short walk to the canal-side night market, which was a great bonus. We even happened to catch the annual Yamakasa Festival, making the whole area incredibly lively and vibrant! The only minor drawback was that the room felt a bit damp. However, the buffet breakfast was quite good. Overall, a positive stay!"
"The hotel's location is incredibly convenient for exploring the city. The nearby subway station offers direct access to Hakata Station and Kushida Shrine Mae Station. One evening, after a wonderful dinner at Daitouen, we enjoyed a leisurely walk back to the hotel, passing by Kushida Shrine, the Nakasu Yatai food stalls, and Canal City Hakata along the way.
There are several convenience stores and drugstores close to the hotel. Additionally, popular spots like Full Full Bakery and Fuk Coffee are just diagonally opposite the hotel.
We booked a Japanese-style room with a tatami area this time, which comfortably accommodated three of us without any issues.
Regarding housekeeping: a full cleaning service is provided on the 3rd, 6th, and 9th days of your stay. On other days, it's a light tidying-up, which includes replenishing water bottles and changing slippers. If you'd like a full cleaning on a non-scheduled day, simply inform the front desk before 10 AM.
All the hotel staff we encountered were very friendly and provided excellent service. Although the official check-in time is 3 PM, we were able to check in at 2:30 PM as our room was already prepared, which was a kind gesture.
The hotel also features a communal hot spring bath (onsen), and complimentary coffee and tea are available in the lobby. We were very satisfied with our stay overall!"
"The room was clean and tidy, with excellent hygiene standards that made me feel at ease. The hotel’s location is extremely convenient—close to subway stations, restaurants, and convenience stores—making it ideal for independent travelers. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and both check-in and check-out went smoothly. They were also happy to assist with any questions.
The room came equipped with a washing machine and microwave, which is especially useful for longer stays or travelers who need to do laundry. The Wi-Fi was stable, suitable for both work and entertainment.
Overall, this hotel offers great value for money, with well-rounded facilities and attentive service. It’s a solid choice for solo travelers or business trips."
"The hotel is super close to the Airport Line. Just exit the subway, walk to the intersection, turn right, look up, and you'll see the 'HOTEL' sign – that's the one! It's a stylish and charming place. Around 4:30 PM, the lobby was quite busy with guests, but check-in was quick and seamless.
Due to a change in plans, I extended my stay for another night. However, I still had to go through the check-in process again, and my request to keep the same room made communication a bit challenging. The hotel staff seemed to be exclusively Japanese speakers, so I was really grateful for an elderly gentleman who spoke Japanese and helped facilitate the conversation with the front desk. (Turns out, the front desk actually had a very useful translation device!)
The double room wasn't huge but was perfectly adequate. The sofa by the window was more comfortable for one person, so when I returned late and craved a snack, I had to carefully eat it while perched on the edge of the bed.
I stayed for 4 nights and had planned to try the hot spring bath on the 13th floor on my last evening. To my dismay, it was still quite crowded around 10 PM.
Upon departure, I received a birthday card and a small gift – such a warm and lovely gesture! 😘
This will definitely be my top choice for a hotel when I visit Fukuoka again."
"My experience from check-in to check-out was excellent. The hotel is conveniently located, about a 7-8 minute walk from the JR station. The walk there is pleasant, with coffee shops, bakeries, and a FamilyMart along the way. It truly is a peaceful oasis despite its central location. There's a small public space right outside the entrance, and two more coffee shops/bakeries just downstairs.
The mattress was very comfortable, but the pillows were a bit too flat, offering no bounce or support.
Getting here from Fukuoka Airport was quick, about a 10-minute taxi ride.
Complimentary facial cleanser and lotion samples were available for self-service at the front desk.
I had informed them in advance via email that it was my birthday on the check-in day, and the front desk staff were wonderful and upgraded my room. The bathroom featured a wet/dry separation.
Overall, a fantastic hotel!"
"This is officially my favorite hotel ever! I finally got to redeem a voucher I'd been saving from a previous promotion, and it was also my first time staying at a luxury hotel in Japan. Being right next to Parco was incredibly convenient for serious shoppers like me. What's more, Tenjin Station is right downstairs, making subway travel incredibly easy. The room was unbelievably spacious, and the breathtaking window view was a huge bonus. I was pleasantly surprised by the three-fixture bathroom layout, and three sinks in the vanity area – amazing! They also offer a scenic afternoon tea starting at 2 PM; the treats were delicious and clearly not an afterthought. My only minor critiques are that the service was fairly standard, and the minibar was empty. However, these small issues don't overshadow the fantastic experience, and it's definitely a hotel to snag if you find a good price!"
"The hotel was exceptionally clean. Breakfast offered a wide and delicious selection. The location is excellent, just over a 10-minute walk to Tenjin Underground Mall and the bustling Tenjin shopping district, home to major department stores like Mitsukoshi, PARCO, and Daimaru. There's also convenient access to numerous subway and bus lines nearby. Plus, a FamilyMart is right across the street to your right as you exit."

Great
헤헤수스The Hostel is located 2 min from the subway station, and 15-20 min walking from Hakata Station. The capsule/pod is very spacious, with a adjustable light, hangers and a blackout curtain. I liked that even closing the curtain the capsule wouldn’t get hot. There are lockers for small bag and important items and also a designated area for bigger bags and coats.
The bathrooms in the dorm were always clean. They have 2 shower rooms based on gender. The shower room has a minimum if 6-7 showers. They have baskets to place your clothes and personal items. Before the shower, there is room for changing, it is wide enough it can easily fit 3 people. I noticed the shampoo bottles were always full/refilled. Dryer and some extra amenities were also available at the shower room. The lounge is really good, the ac worked perfectly, enough chairs and tables to eat or work, and even bigger tables for groups. As expected they have information for tourist but also assorted books and mangas, even some in english. The kitchen is well equipped (oven, microwave, stove, plates, hot water, etc). The breakfast was simple but fresh. The first floor has a room for bigger luggage and also they have a washing/drying room, just make sure to have 100yen coins, if not ask the staff to exchange cash. TBH i can’t think of a negative experience, the staff was always friendly and ready to assist, they spoke perfect japanese and english. After checking out i visited another city but ended coming back to fukuoka and making a reservation in this hostel again. 100% recommended.
GGuest UserThe service was excellent, but the standout feature is undoubtedly its incredibly convenient location near Hakata Station. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit. Having a convenience store downstairs was also super handy. For exploring the city or planning day trips, the location couldn't be better – if you have any day trips planned, this is absolutely the place to stay, don't hesitate to book! Another huge plus is its surprising proximity to the airport. I actually timed it myself, and it took only 16 minutes, including navigating through the station. Just a tip: if you're not familiar with the route, it's always wise to allow a little extra buffer time.

Great
LLynn hkSecluded high end hotel by the Fukuoka pier away from the city which most guests arrived by driving their own rental car. Both service and hotel premise are outstanding. They got well trained service oriented staff helped guests with sending their luggages to their room, and showed guests their room and made guests feel like a vip. They also got complimentary free flow of alcohols and snacks serving from 3-5pm and 8-11pm (with ramen serving at 10pm) at the lobby cafe which we appreciated and also enjoyed a lot. We attended these complimentary drink and snack outings mostly by ourselves alone without other guests.. However, there is some room to improve in terms of cleanliness in housekeeping as I found a piece of hair in the bed and some food on floor along with a receipt left by the previous guest which is not acceptable for this sort of high end hotel. I also requested for a room away from the noise and given that they only got 10-15 parties checked in last night with 5 floors, staff has assigned us to a room next to another party and we could hear the couple arguing at night when we opened the balcony door. Having said that we still found this hotel lovely as we appreciate the warmness of all the welcoming staff from the check in, the bonfire event from 8-10pm and all the lobby cafe staff throughout the whole stay. The room, the beds and amenities are all excellent.. I will recommend this hotel to friends in off peak seasons esp in a good discounted price.
VVivtsoGood value for money and great location. The nicest thing about the hotel is the natual onsen and all the complimentary items for their guests like ramen at night, morning coffee/juice/tea, ice-cream, yakult drinks. We used the onsen every night after a long day out. The hotel is right next to the subway station.
The room is not big. No room cleaning without a charge. But clean towels are hang outside the door everyday.

WWAI MANStaff is nice and friendly!
Though it is not super close to the station but it's still a comparative convenient location to me.
There're also many good place to eat nearby, highly recommend REC coffee, breakfast is great!
Soundproofing is just so-so, the Korean family stayed next to us is so noisy and banged the door all the time..
EEthan Dun KapThe hotel is technically in between 3 subway stations — Hakata (7 - 8 mins walk), Gion (7 - 8 mins walk), and Kushida Shrine (2 mins walk) — and also located conveniently near Canal City Hakata shopping mall, Kushida shrine, and many stores and restaurants nearby. The cleanliness of the hotel overall was good but a little less positive for the room itself, as some parts of the washroom’s privacy blinds looked like they aren’t cleaned regularly and edges of the room’s carpet were often not cleaned well (wearing slippers in the room and not touching the privacy blinds easily mitigates these concerns). A personal issue and warning for taller guests would be that the position of the toilet in the narrow bathroom (at least for the ‘cozy double’ room) requires users to face a section of the wall quite closely when seated, which would likely be uncomfortable/ impossible for people taller than 175 cm to use while sitting down (the attached photo is taken with a 0.6x camera lens). The air conditioning for the rooms was shared by a central air system which cooled the rooms well, but it is worth noting for those with sensitive noses that there was a very faint but noticeable odour of old cigarette smoke in the room despite the current no-smoke policy. The coin laundry room is very small with only 1 washing machine, 1 dryer, and 1 hybrid washer-dryer machine (also, no coin exchange machine is present), so I recommend washing mid-day or in the early evening if possible. The front desk receptionists and cleaning staff were kind and approachable (in both English and Japanese), the check-in and check-out processes were smooth, and the hotel did offer free luggage storage services after check-out. Overall, an enjoyable and budget-friendly stay.

Very Good
WWariyukiThe hotel is decent and clean. It doesn’t provide any free coffee in the room or lobby. It also doesn’t have any bath tub or public bath. Overall it’s a pleasant stay there.
Located right next to the Yanagibashi Rengo market, you can enjoy the fresh sashimi, sushi and other food at the market. There are a number of buses that take you from the Hakata bus station to the hotel, it’s actually very convenient too.
GGuijunLuckily, I managed to book a triple room about two weeks in advance. After all, when traveling to Japan, room size and bed dimensions are always key factors for me. The hotel rate also offered excellent value for money, especially for the peak summer season.
The room type we booked this time featured a separate wet and dry area, which was perfect for our family's needs. It had both a shower (with massage features) and a bathtub, and the cleanliness was exceptional. Every evening, I'd come back and enjoy a relaxing bath – it was wonderfully comfortable.
I have to mention, the hotel's location is absolutely fantastic. There's a shuttle bus directly from Terminal 6 of the International Hall (exit 6) that takes you straight to the hotel entrance (about 20 meters walk) in roughly 20 minutes (just one stop) for 310 JPY. This saved us the hassle of dragging luggage up and down subway stairs. On our last day, with luggage, a taxi to the airport cost around 80 RMB.
If you're planning a day trip to Northern Kyushu, the meeting point at the Lawson convenience store right next to the hotel is incredibly convenient. Stepping out the back door, you'll find two Family Mart convenience stores, a Yoshinoya, and several other dining options. We saw many local Japanese people dining there, and it's super easy to grab drinks and snacks.
It's also right next to Hakata Station's Chikushi Exit, making access to Shinkansen, JR lines, and the subway incredibly convenient. This was my seventh visit to Fukuoka, and I would definitely choose Forza again next time. I've already recommended it to friends and family.

MMiyu BirdiePersonal opinion as a female Asian traveler.
Location: 20 mins walk from Hakata station. 4 mins walk to Gion bus stop or canal city bus stop, both go to Hakata station in around 10 mins. Also, 15 mins walk to Kawabata Shopping Arcade and Canal CityHakata. There are not many restaurants nearby, only convenient stores around the area. Better eat before returning to the hotel. There is a MaxValu Express (open for 24 hrs, 2 levels: 1st floor drugsstore and B1 supermarket) 4 mins walk from the hotel. Great option for late night snacks, drinks, daily necessities, and tax-free shopping.
Room: small and a bit old, cleanliness ok, no bath tub only shower stall. Shower water is not hot enough. Very poor sound insulation (recommended to use earplugs when sleepping. Provided on 1st floor of hotel). You can hear almost every single activity happening next door(literally meaning). Light switches far away from bed, which is a bit inconvenient.
Front desk: it is an unmanned hotel. Self check-in via smartphone prior (utilizing the QR code) or via computer on 1st floor. Self check-out via tablet provided inside the room or computer on 1st floor. Using password to enter room. There is a female staff member in the lobby area in the morning if needed help for anything. She doesn't speak much English but is very friendly and willing to help. Also, you can text the hotel staff member for assistance if needed via the room tablet provided. They reply quickly.
Amenities: self-service, self luggage storage, only basic items provided. There is no ice maker and only 1 laundry machine on the 1st floor (always being occupied).
All in all, Pros: though the hotel is unmanned, I find it pretty chill, easy and efficient as long as you figure out how things work (not hard at all, perhaps more accessible for younger visitors). Cons: You really have to lower your expectations for everything else. I personally feel it is more like a hostel than a hotel. But considering it is the Hakata area and with this affortable price, can't murmur.
XXiaojujujujujujujujuThe room was spotless, and the service was top-notch. Each room also comes equipped with a microwave, fridge, washing machine, and an induction hob, which are incredibly useful for extended stays. It's conveniently located close to Hakata Station, just about a ten-minute walk away.
