Daiwa Roynet Hotel Hakata-Gion Reviews

Really clean and excellent service! Definitely a bang for your buck! Fresh towels and robes provided and quality is more towards a 4 star hotel rather than a 3 star one! Convenient stores and restaurants are nearby too!

Daiwa is one of my "goto" chains in Japan. Always can expect great rooms, very comfortable. They may not be huge, but they are cozy, very clean and just great for solo travellers. Location was also very good. Close enough to major areas but with enough distance so you don't feel "crowded".

Very convenient location. Next to Gion station. Receptionist speaks English. Easy to find.

The hotel abuts a convenient and central location which were walking distance within Hakata, Teijin and Canal City where a must visit for tourists. And the best of transport, Gion Station Exit 6 was a less than 1-min walk just to/ from the hotel. Hotel was surrounded by eateries some opened until late midnight. Every hotel staff I encountered from front desk, restaurant server to cashier were all delightful and eager to help. The room was very spacious when compared with room size in Japan. Breakfast was with 3 choices and we opted for authentic Japanese - grilled fish every morning. Room and food was value for money. We must return to this property when we revisit Fukuoka. Thank you.

Pretty good location for both from Hakata station and Nakasu. Everywhere is pretty clean and no one complains about it.

Very accommodating hotel staff, able to leave bags before and after check-in. Good level of English spoken by the front desk staff.

The room size was reasonable and we were happy with the bathing facilities. The pajamas were very comfortable. Breakfasts at their restaurant were of reasonable prices and with options. Recommend the hotel may provide bath salts or traditional snacks as complimentary souvenirs to guests with more than 1 nights of stay. It is unfortunate that we could only book a smoking room during our stay. The smell of cigarettes could not be get rid of despite we sprayed the bottle of repellent, perhaps from the curtains.

I was satisfied with the location because I could walk to Hikata and Tenjin in 10 minutes.

The con - room was small as expected for a business hotel from the Daiwa Roynet Hotel chain. Pro - clean, well maintained and amenities was always adequately filled. Pajama was a welcome surprise! Hotel strategically located in the heart of Hakata Gion area. 4 stops from the Fukuoka Domestic airport subway station. Less than a minute walk from Gion Station. Canal Street a short 8 minute walk. You can also walk 17 minutes to Hakata main station! Lots of places to eat and convenience stores around the vicinity of the hotel! The restaurant downstairs served inexpensive and tasty meals! I wouldn’t hesitate to rebook again for future visits!

It's a simple hotel at a great location. Breakfast is not really worth it. It's at Yayoi restaurant located on the ground floor. Make sure your car is not taller than a regular car or you won't be able to park at their parking lot. I had to pay 3000 yen to use a coin parking lot from 18:00 to 11:00.
