Hotels Near GU(MARK IS Fukuoka Momochi Store) in Fukuoka

I’m a frequent guest at Millennial Kyoto and couldn’t be more delighted to hear that they open a new hotel in Fukuoka. Millennials Fukuoka is in a strategic location close to restaurants, mini marts, and lots of stuff going on in the Area. It’s sparkling clean and well run. Their staff, especially Faith are extremely helpful. I had a great stay and would love to return when I’m back in Fukuoka.

Good location, just 5 mins from hotel to metro station. Lots of food shops near hotel, especially the self-service drink machine in hotel, you can use it unlimited as you want during open time. I’m surprised the breakfast is so diverse and delicious, lots of food you can choose! I’ll be back definitely! Highly recommended!

The hotel is in a great location and the selling point is the breakfast. However, I feel that like everywhere else in Japan, the food outside the hotel (which is a lot of options since in Nakasu) are better. So no need to specially choose for their breakfast. their bathtub is huge though.

Room size for a 3 Bedder room is still alright for us. There are lots of restaurants around the hotel. If you get to the hotel via Exit 6 from Tenjinminami Station, there is no escalator or lift and takes about 8 minutes from the exit. There is a lift from the station opposite of exit 6 though (near Diamaru) which we used when we left the hotel to go to airport.

Pretty much your standard clean and efficient Japanese hotel with professional customer service and spacious rooms. I stayed in the renovated tower which was modern and with all the basic amenities. Hotel is conveniently located in front of a major bus stop which you can take to the main attraction areas if you don't feel like walking (15-20min) There is a nice restaurant and bar in the lobby which serves delicious Japanese style hamburger steaks, ate there 2x during my stay. There are also many food options ranging from gourmet pizza to local hole in the wall ramen shops around the hotel.

Nestled in the heart of Hakata, this hotel offers a haven of convenience within easy reach of delectable dining options, vibrant attractions, and transportation hubs. As a first-time visitor to Fukuoka, I was enamored by the city's charm, and this hotel quickly became a highlight of my trip. From tantalizing late-night eats to leisurely shopping strolls and serene photo spots free from tourist throngs, Fukuoka had it all. Upon arrival, it's essential to note that there are two hotels with the same name; the one we selected, situated in Gion, stands just a few blocks from the Hakata outlet. (A friendly reminder: Opt for metered taxis over the airport counters to avoid inflated fares.) Check-in was seamless, and the hotel graciously accommodated our request to store luggage as we explored the city. Their self-service storage option, complete with a secure four-pin lock, provided peace of mind throughout our stay. The hotel boasted comprehensive amenities, surpassing those of the three other accommodations we sampled during our journey. Our room, generously sized, easily accommodated our luggage with ample space to spare. The provided onsen attire was remarkably comfortable, so much so I wore it out under my jacket for the second night! I recommend heading to the onsen in the afternoon and past midnight to avoid the crowd. Post-soak, complimentary popsicles awaited—a delightful treat indeed. Pro tip: ince their onsen is located on the 1st level of the hotel, you can store your onsen items in the locker before heading out to explore. After a long day, you can head to the onsen to ”defrost” and clean up before heading up to sleep. Equipped with a smart TV, our room offered the luxury of streaming our favorite YouTube and Netflix content, adding a touch of familiarity to our evenings. Another standout feature was the live updates on onsen availability and laundry room usage—though it's worth noting that the latter incurs a fee, a minor inconvenience amidst an otherwise stellar stay. This hotel exceeded expectations, providing unparalleled comfort and unparalleled convenience. With all essentials at our doorstep, exploration was effortless, leaving us with cherished memories of our time in Fukuoka.

Good location. Good price. Friendly and accommodating staff. Clean hotel. Looks new. BUT... (1) I find the room too dark. There is a hallway light with sensor that I wished had a switch that could turn it on/off. It could’ve added brightness to the room. (2) The air-conditioner is centralized, you cannot control it. The air is not enough to cool the warm room. There was a time that warm air was being emitted so we had to open the window for cooler air. But opening the window lets you hear the street noise. (3) Toilet/Bathroom is small. If you are tall, you cannot comfortably sit when doing your business. (4) The hallway of the room is too narrow. But the bed area of our twin room is wide. If these are OK with you, it is still a nice hotel to stay in.

The advantage of this hotel is it washing dryer inside the hotel, the coffee machine in the lobby provided free coffee, it is actually quite a walking distance (8-10 minutes walk) to the eatery and station. But overall it is a good hotel.

For those who dont mind a 10 min walk to Hakata Station its not bad. Public onsen was a plus for hubby. Too bad we did not use the open air private onsen in our room as weather was too cold for us but the shower massager was also a plus. Room is standard Japanese size which is smaller than International standard. Overall we have no major complaints. Front desk staff put in their best effort to communicate in English. Thumbs UP!

Rooms in Japan are all small, and this single room is not big either. However, the bathroom is still separated from wet and dry. I didn’t even use the very good facilities because there is a large public bath. It’s comfortable to take a dip after washing it with water. It’s very comfortable in the morning. Take a walk around and enjoy the beautiful scenery
