Located next to the Hongu Taisha Pond on Mount Fuji, the location and views are top notch. However, self-driving requires attention to the location, it is not easy to find the correct path. And there are more places to pay attention to, it is near the garden, insects often appear, the first day of stay with cockroach spiders waiting, the second day indoors have large spiders, to the third day again cockroaches, to the hotel side sent a message reflect completely unresponsive. The room structure is also more special, all the space has to go stairs, if the amount of luggage is super important special attention, the toilet and bathroom connected by the atrium, but except the guest room space is completely air-conditioned, colder cold, hot hot more stuffy. The bathroom shower water pressure is average, the water temperature can not be maintained, two sets of toothbrushes and toothpaste but give a mouthwash cup, the same message to the hotel also again unresponsive. Other facilities at the hotel, such as the private bath, are particularly dilapidated and interesting with a visitor feel. However, the view is indeed very excellent, to consider the trade-offs 😅

When you open the window, there is a pond right away. The pond is so pretty and the accommodation building is so pretty. There are many places that have enlarged the rooms with Photoshop, but this place is exactly like the picture. The structure is a bit unique, so you have to go up the stairs to get to the shower room, and the bathroom is in a different place. Even the hallway is not public but a private space, so it felt like a home for a while, not just a small room. It was a place I was really sad to check out. Since it is an accommodation in the middle of nature, I think you have to be aware that there are some bugs. I actually saw a spider and a group of ants, but I was so satisfied with the accommodation that I didn't want to bring it up at all.

Many devices in the house are aging, there is a strong odor under the sink, several lights in the bedroom are broken, and they flicker when they are turned on, which is very uncomfortable for the eyes!

I stayed in the Takenoma room for one night on a solo trip. This is a space that truly shows the harmony of old and new. As I walked slowly to the house while looking at Mt. Fuji, I saw an old shrine and a beautiful pond, which calmed my mind. Inside the house, a kind wife and a cute baby welcomed me with joy. The old house was remodeled and the interior was beautifully renovated in a modern style, and the Takenoma room at the very back is a luxurious space for one person to use. The bamboo forest surrounds the outside of the room, and inside there is a bedroom, a reception room, a toilet, a small courtyard, a bathroom and a powder room. The indoor lounge is also wonderful, so I would definitely recommend stopping by.
