The decoration of the room is light luxury style, very comfortable, four rooms on the second floor, each room has a single bed, a double bed, and tatami on the first floor. The dishes we bought in the supermarket are heated and eaten very affordable and comfortable. The only suggestion to the landlord, can you prepare a few bicycles? Convenient to go around.
Small place which was basically a trailer tavern. Floor shakes a bit, while u are moving inside. If it rains, u can hear the sound clearly as sound proofing is not good.
It's 20 minutes from Kawaguchiko Train Station. The cabins are very nice, and the place is very quiet, away from the noise. You can rent a bicycle and go for a ride to the village and see the beautiful view of Mount Fuji. They have a restaurant in the hotel. I went alone, but it's also perfect if you're accompanied. The man and woman are very kind and nice. They treat you wonderfully. I had to return a day before my departure, but they did me the favor of taking me to the train station—such a kind and beautiful gesture that showcased the human side and culture of Japan. It has a beautiful view of the lake, and there you can organize more tours around the village. Thank you for everything.

Beautiful stay! The view itself is already worth it. Everything is very clean and love the muji aesthetics of the room. Just note that there is no room service and the noise isolation is not very good. But if you have quiet neighbours, it is still okay because the area is so peaceful. Will have to drive there though.
#Kawaguchiko Hotel, a century-old hotel, is said to have been lived in by the emperor. It seems to be a historical building with many old objects. Very stylish.
The key is a real key, and such a big sign is definitely not afraid of losing it.
The front desk is a Japanese uncle who looks like a British butler from a BBC drama. He is professional, serious, polite, thoughtful and not lively.
The room I stayed in was a Western-style room. You can see Mount Fuji from the side of the window, and the Japanese-style room opposite can see the lake view. The room is small but complete, and two large suitcases can be spread out.
The hotel has a shuttle bus from Kawaguchiko Station, and will send an email in advance to notify you to make a phone reservation.
By the way, remember to find the front desk to order breakfast when you check in. It is a very ceremonial Japanese breakfast and tastes very good.
In addition, it is said that there is a hot spring bath with Mount Fuji view on the fourth floor, but I didn't go.
The overall experience was pretty good some of the minor points for improvement:
(1) hotel offers activities and most required reservation ahead of time (2-3days) which was not shared or communicated thus we were unable to participate during our stay
(2) the restaurant seats were arranged with little clues though we went early we were not arranged into the place could see views
(3) we forgot a coat at the hotel and was not aware until checkout the hotel has yet contacted us till now
A B&B with a great experience. Independent Japanese-style villa with kitchen and living room. There are several restaurants within a few minutes' walk, and there is a bus stop at the door where you can take the red line to Lake Kawaguchi. It is very convenient, clean and tidy. Although the front desk does not speak English, they can communicate with the help of translation software. The disadvantage is that many windows do not have curtains, and the room does not block light when it is dawn, which affects sleep. Another drawback is that there is only one bathroom, which is inconvenient when there are many people.
Providing lake views, glampark S.O.P Fuji Kawaguchi Lake in Fujikawaguchiko features accommodations and a garden. With mountain views, this accommodation offers a terrace. The luxury tent provides rooms with air conditioning, free private parking, and free Wifi.
At the luxury tent, the units are equipped with a balcony. There's a private bathroom with walk-in shower in every unit, along with slippers, a hair dryer, and free toiletries. At the luxury tent, each unit is equipped with bed linen and towels.
A continental breakfast is available daily at the luxury tent. The luxury tent is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs for guests to relax in.
Lake Kawaguchi is 4.8 miles from glampark S.O.P Fuji Kawaguchi Lake, while Fuji-Q Highland is 6.3 miles away. Matsumoto Airport is 75 miles from the property.
Calm and clean place. A room was quite small, but we noticed it’s often met in Japan)
The hotel is near the picturesque place with the view on Fuji. It’s 10 minutes walk to the bus station. And you’re given all the stuff you need (towels, coffe, tea, etc)
A very nice guesthouse-style hotel with relatively large rooms compared to traditional Japanese hotels. It’s very convenient for self-driving, with a parking lot right downstairs. From the left side of the window, you can catch a distant view of a corner of Mount Fuji. Great value for the price. However, there is one downside: the shower water flow is inconsistent, alternating between strong and weak, hot and cold throughout the day, as mentioned in other reviews. Hopefully, this issue can be improved soon.

Outstanding
AAutumnLeafThis is by far the best hotel I've stayed in Japan. Hospitality, cleanliness and food were perfect. Best value for a all-inclusive onsen resort by the lake.
Staff were friendly and attentive. From the time we arrived to the time we left, we felt welcomed and well taken care of during our stay. They received us from the carpark and got our baggage for us. When we left, they made sure to carry our luggage to the car.
Rooms and the guest onsen were clean, big and spacious, with propery air-conditioning and heating. It also has a good view of mount Fuji from the room balcony (though unfortunately it was raining for the 2 days which I was there)
The food was amazing as well, there were so many choices and we were left stuffed after both dinner and breakfast.
Would highly recommend anyone this all inclusive hotel if you have the chance.
PPICHEWA_I arrived at Kawaguchiko Station in the afternoon and decided to leave my luggage at a locker near the station before visiting Oshino Hakkai. I returned to the station around 5 PM to retrieve my luggage and called the hotel to inquire about their FREE Shuttle Bus service. Luckily, I caught the shuttle bus back to the hotel in time. The driver was very polite and helpful, assisting me with my luggage both ways.
The hotel had a nice and standard atmosphere, both inside and out. The staff at the lobby were friendly and spoke excellent English. They were able to provide me with all the information needed.
My room was a 20 square meter Lake View Room with a stunning view of Mount Fuji. It had two single beds, a desk and chairs The entrance had a large mirror and the storage space. Unfortunately, the remaining space in the room was too small to fully open my 28-inch suitcase. Luckily, I was alone, so I used the second bed to store my belongings. The bathroom was small but well-equipped with a shower, bathtub, and an automatic toilet.
The onsen was located on the 6th floor and was divided into male and female sections. It was clean and spacious. However, around 8-10 PM, it got quite crowded. If you're not accustomed to this culture, you might want to visit during the morning. (Operated Time : 3PM-2AM & 5-10 AM)
The hotel restaurant offered a variety of dishes. I checked the menu and decided to purchase a dinner coupon at the lobby. The dinner buffet was served from 6-9 PM. Breakfast (7-9AM) was included in my package and was slightly different from dinner. Overall, the food was decent but not exceptional. I recommend arriving early for dinner to avoid the crowds.
Key Points:
- The hotel offers a free shuttle bus service every 30 minutes between the hotel and Kawaguchiko Station.
- There are no convenience stores near the hotel. The hotel's convenience store has limited options.
- There is only one restaurant near the hotel, and it's only open for lunch. If you don't have a car, your dining options are limited to the hotel's buffet or instant ramen (from hotel's convenient store at Lobby 1st floor).
GGuest UserThe hotel is nestled in a quiet area, away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy area. We stayed 3 nights in a room facing the lake with a magnificent view of Fuji-san. A van provides shuttle service to and from Kawaguchiko station. The restaurant is not operational hence we either ate outside or bought food back from Lawson/7-11. Hotel staff were friendly and attentive, and there were Mandarin-speaking staff. We miss it very much even though we are now in Hoshino Amoriya, which speaks a lot about the Kumonoue Fuji!
GGuest UserThe lobby and the room we stayed in was refurbished with modern touch. However the public bath spaces was relatively small and old. We used the garden public bath and it was very cold because there’s a door going outside right across the door the comes into the interior bath area. When people coming in or going out to the external hot springs, both doors opened and the wind blows into the interior hot spring area where the shower area is. The most unacceptable point is that the hot water system broke down (lack of water in hot water tank) that night hence the shower water was only warm and not hot enough to beat the coldness from the entrance. Hence we did not enjoy the public hot spring and went back to our room with the interior private bath. But the water was also not hot due to hot water tank was lack of water. Hence the in room bath is not hot spring. I was finally able to enjoy the in room bath in the morning. But they really need to make improvement of this matter since they are an onsen ryokan. The food was good but the hot water incident really gave a minus impact of the stay.
ZZhaocanWent with my parents. Check in was relatively straight forward, as was check out. The hotel was quite spacious, the room was to be expected. Relatively basic but clean. Did not eat there. They were able to call us a taxi when needed. We enjoyed the onsen as it had different pools, though not sure about how much of it was “onsen water”.
GGuest UserThis heotel is valued the money. I booked a room for 3 persons. One double bed and one single bed. The beds are comfortable enough to sleep. Hotel also provided extra pillow if you needed. There is only one pond in public bath for male room. And one for female room. The clenliness is acceptable. Breakfast is not variety choices but good quality. The car parking is available in front and at the back of the hotel.
BBSLStaying at Ashida Hotel was definitely a pleasant surprise. The price budget is also 3,000 per night, because 4 people can stay in the same room. A friend started jumping up and down as soon as he entered. The Japanese-style layout and traditional hot springs make it very comfortable.
The sky finally cleared up on the day we checked out. I was shocked when I saw Mount Fuji. It felt so majestic and beautiful.
This hotel is highly recommended for friends who want to see Mount Fuji in Kawaguchiko City.
AAnonymous UserThe room is so big. Grand Resort Princess Fujikawaguchiko offers stunning views of Mount Fuji and a serene atmosphere. The spacious rooms are elegant, blending modern comforts with traditional Japanese design. The onsen facilities are relaxing, and the staff provides excellent hospitality. Perfect for unwinding and enjoying the natural beauty of Lake Kawaguchi and its surroundings.
DDeborah AnnA wonderful way to start my first trip to Japan, the location is right on Lake Kawaguchi and just behind is the Mt Fuji Panoramic Ropeway. The staff were really helpful and friendly, would definitely stay again if I ever get the chance.
SSor Yi MingPlace is close to ropeway bus stop. however, it can be a challange to carry your luggage up the hill slope which is share with cars and visitors to the ropeway.
smoking room doesnt smell smoky as they provide purifier.. but the hallway lead to the room are very smoky in smell. just has to bare with it.
once enter, required to change show for their slippers, proceed to check in, there are foreign staffs that can speak some english to help with check in
if you check in between 3 to 5pm, there are free flow of snacks (popcorns, meatbun, mugi cha) and alcohols ( lemon sour and asahi beer)
once check in u can go for onsen to relax. not mandate to wear yukata. but feel free to do so for the immersion.
the room is dated, like stuck in the 90s or early 2000s. toilet is seperate from bath.. frankly speaking its better to bath at the onsen if you dont mind ***** infront of strangers n stared by japanese guests to see if u make any mistake ( they want you to be clean in every nook and cany) as they are in the onsen
has sauna but quite small. hover 82 degree c
has old school water spray jet which u need to control manually on all 3 sides.. good luck to do it fast during cold days.
basic amendities at the onsen area.. just hair dryer, fan and thats all
bed n pillow quite soft... pillow are small but u can get more from reception.
great view of the lake from hotel room and dining area.
breakfast is ok. everyday similar menu.. buffet style breakfast.. fish, asa curry, breads, minced marinated sashimi don, corn soup and miso soups. free flow coffee, soft drinks and limited selection of fruits.
dinner is ok, buffet style but 90 min.. need to info counter what is your prefered time slot. i recommend choose dinner... cuase it is quite a distance to the bus station for food.. and the queue are horrendous but the food are nice there tho, u can even admire mt fuji.
heard the dinner theme is based on months or seasons.
