I stayed at this hotel with my wife and two children during a one-night stay in Kawaguchinko in early February.
Location: The hotel is reasonably far from Lake Kawaguchinko but I was driving so that was not a problem. However, it gave us a far better view of Mount Fuji. We were blessed that we visited on a day with clear skies and we got a fantastic view of the mountain from the balcony.
Cleaniness: Everywhere we went in the hotel was clean, including the Hot Spring.
Service:The receptionist was helpful and spoke reasonable English. We asked for a few extra items for our kids that housekeeping didn't bring all correctly.
Facilities: We were pleasantly surprised that there was an Onsen in the hotel as we didn't know. It was clean and looked quite new. The breakfast was a little disappointed but it was relatively cheap so I wouldn't complain.
Overall: This was a nice hotel at a reasonable cost. i would consider staying here again. The view from the balcony is worth the stay alone.

I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious the room was—much larger than I expected. The toilet and shower were in separate rooms, which was really convenient. The ryokan-style bed gave a lovely traditional Japanese feel, which I absolutely loved. There's also a window-side table where you can sit and enjoy a full view of Mt. Fuji all day long. I was lucky to visit on a clear day and saw an unobstructed view of Mt. Fuji—it made the trip truly unforgettable.
Breakfast was delicious with every dish. The hotel also offers a laundry room, a kids’ playroom, and a stunning Mt. Fuji view onsen—perfect for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and after check-in, there was even a shuttle service to Kawaguchiko Station. Highly recommended!

Staying at a ryokan facing Mount Fuji was like stepping into a different rhythm of life — one where everything slows down, and every detail feels intentional. From the warm welcome to the soft tatami floors and the sound of the wind rustling through the trees outside the shoji screens, it was peace in its purest form. Watching the sunrise over Fuji-san in the quiet morning light, soaking in the onsen with a view I’ll never forget, and sharing traditional meals that felt like art — these are the moments that stay with you. Grateful for the stillness, the hospitality, and the kind of memories that settle deep in your soul.

Service provided was great and staff is very polite and helpful. The room looks old and different from what was advertised in trip.com. The room is super spacious to open 2 pieces of luggage. Me and my family had a hard time sleeping because of the soft pillow and smelly sheets. Quilts were too thick which makes us sweat the whole night while sleeping.
We were also unable to see Mt Fuji from the rooftop as there were renovations going on.

The stay was awesome and the staff are very kind and helpful, providing very clear information to all the servives and activities we can do.
We were welcomed with complimentary snacks, drinks and even wine after check in. And there is also a complimentary ramen supper available, which feeds our empty stomach after a whole day. The coffee and hot chocolate is also availavle 24 hours complimentary.
There is also different onsen theme available, private and public which we had tried out all. Do note on some of the rules when using the onsen.
The breakfast is very good and tasty. We had our first Japanese style breakfast and tried the local Hotou and 纳豆 as well.
Location wise is slightly outskirts from the Fujikawaguchiko station but there is shuttle bus available for transfer. However, we drived but didn't had the chance to take the shuttle bus. Parking wise a lot of spaces available so that's not a worry.
Ultimately, the best of the best is the Mount Fuji voew from our balcony and there is also onsen available in the room.
Overall, we had a very good stay and would recommend for anyone who would like a good and comfortable stay. 5 star service.

advantage:
Good service
The bed was very nice
The room is clean. The shower head is ugly, but it doesn't affect the water pressure. The food is said to be unpalatable, but I think it's ok, although not delicious.
shortcoming:
For a hotel that costs NT$17,553 per night, I should have expected more.
The hair dryer is old and has low wind speed
The shower brand is the same as in other hotels (Pola)
I had to buy extra bottles of water from a vending machine, 400 yen per bottle.
No bicycle rental

We had a fantastic one night stay at Glamping Villa Hanz, and only wish we had more time to explore the different activities and nature tours. Food for dinner and breakfast was arranged very well, there were a lot of written guides for how to do all the BBQ cooking and how to make a bonfire with all the hardest parts of camping taken care of for you. The public bath/onsen was very nice and well maintained. The queen beds were very spacious and comfortable in our Pao for 2 and I slept extremely well (except for the loud pop music playing at the bar area in the morning which woke us up).

Truly an incredible stat! Unlimited access to different wine from arrival. Staff is very helpful, and sweet! The tent rooms are extremely spacious, also the hot spring baths are fascinating, they were automated and required nothing, they stayed hot all night long. The glamping BBQ came with beef, pork steaks and many sides. The breakfast was delicious and the coffee equipment was drip and easy to use. Very impressed. Everything about this stay was perfect. I will definitely be back very soon!

Amazing
EEng KiatThe hotel is a once a lifetime experience. The hotel is located on top of a steep hill next to the tourist site Ropeway. If you miss the shuttle bus and arrive at night, the walk up the hill can be physically demanding especially during winter with tree barks scattered and no lighting. But after we survive the physical journey, the hotel is really a must visit gem. The view from the room is amazing. Every room faces the lake. The room is traditional Japanese room with nice tatami mats and buckwheat quality pillow.
The highlight has to be the breakfast and the onsen. The breakfast and dinner need to be reserved in advance (must include breakfast when you book the room). Food is fresh and chef quality. The onsen faces the lake so is really special experience. You can also visit the ropeway in the morning. Service is also excellent. The team is responsive and also helped us order dinner as there are no food nearby. Overall this is a must visit hotel for anyone who wants authentic Japanese experience and next to the lake. The breakfast and onsen is also a must when you are there.
AAnonymous UserThe staff were professional and took very good care if us. They speak excellent and fluent English. The room was immaculate and well-appointed, with all the amenities I needed to make my stay as comfortable as possible. The hotel’s restaurant was also a highlight of my stay. The food was delicious and expertly prepared, and the service was top-notch. The staff was attentive and accommodating, making sure that every meal was a memorable experience. With the mt fuji view in room, highly recommended for a stay here and enjoy.
GGuest UserA very satisfying experience! It is a small family-style hotel. At first, I didn't notice that there was a limit on the check-in time. I found that the time was about to pass before I went there. I was worried that I would not be able to check in during the New Year's Eve. I called the boss and said that I would just miss the dinner time. As a result, the boss was kind enough to leave us dinner! It was very rich! The breakfast was also very delicious. In the evening, we also took a private bath in the hotel. Although it was simple, there were not many people and we could enjoy it alone. The decoration of the private bath and the room was very simple and unique. There were flowers and plants in the lobby, and the restaurant was also decorated, which was very warm.
It took less than half an hour to walk to Kawaguchiko Bridge to see Mount Fuji on New Year's Day. The location is very close to a certain online celebrity Lawson, where you can also take the popular red line bus. When I came back, I found that I could see it outside the window, very clearly. The boss mentioned in the comment sent me to the station but I didn't experience it. I left on my own on New Year's Day because I was afraid that the boss would be busy. It only took less than 20 minutes to walk to Kawaguchiko Station. The boss was very nice and polite. He knew simple English and there was no barrier to communication. In short, this hotel made my New Year in Mount Fuji very happy! Next time I come, I want to stay a few more days to relax.
MMichelle Okano AnzanelloImpeccable service from all hotel staff, perfect view of Mount Fuji from our room window, delicious breakfast. In front of the hotel is Lake Kawaguchiko and a wonderful park called Yagisaki.
LLMOOLMMy second stay with them in 2 years! Once you arrive at Kawaguchiko station, head to tourist information centre to get them to call the ryokan to pick you up. The ride is 5mins! The walk itself is about 10mins but hilly. You wouldnt want to do that with luggages in tow.
The room is very clean and has great view of Lake Kawaguchiko. Our stay came with breakfast and dinner. Dinner was great! Most items were delicious. Breakfast is buffet style and pretty average.
Their private and female onsen have views of mt Fuji!
SShirlynI am incredibly grateful to the staff for arranging such an amazing Mount Fuji and lake view for us. It was truly the perfect birthday gift and made my celebration unforgettable. Waking up to such a breathtaking sight every day was a dream come true.
A heartfelt thank you to the hotel team for their thoughtful gesture and exceptional service. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a beautiful view, comfortable accommodations, and an unforgettable stay.
KKaLing WongWe travelled with another family and we booked the lower and upper level rooms for the 2 families. We took the local bus from the Kyoto station and walked for about 10 mins to find the place. The room is clean and spacious. Location is not super close to the train or bus station, but it is still w/in a walking distance. Host had been responsive on text message (whatsapp or Line).
GGuest UserThe hotel is a 7-minute drive from Lake Kawaguchi. There is a parking lot, or you can go to the Lake Kawaguchi Information Center to ask for help from the staff and call the hotel to send a hotel car to pick you up. It will arrive within 10 days, which is very convenient. The hotel runs a bus to Kawaguchiko Station every half hour from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. When you come back, you can call them back to the hotel as before, which is very considerate. The breakfast and dinner meals are exquisite and delicious, and a separate room is prepared for dinner, where you can enjoy the delicious food slowly, which is full of style. We booked for three days and two nights, and their breakfast and dinner for two days were not enough, which surprised us. The hot spring hotel has a basement bath and an open-air hot spring on the fifth floor. Personally, I always like the open air, without the feeling of being baked, and they have an open-air hot spring where you can watch Mount Fuji and soak in the hot spring. It is very enjoyable! In addition, the hotel has a paid hot spring, and you can soak in the hot spring of Mount Fuji within half an hour. Most of the staff are polite, but not everyone at the front desk understands English. The only strange thing is that trip.com has already charged the full fee, but when I checked out, the front desk asked me to pay the full fee again. I gave the online bank statement to prove that the full fee was paid, and they spent a lot of time calling trip.com. . It turned out that the previous fee was a deposit, and we had to pay the hotel again. After 7 to 14 days, trip.com would refund the full deposit fee. I personally think this is a bit redundant. Other hotels do not need this procedure when booking through trip.com. The front desk requires She felt a little reluctant to call trip.com for us, as if we were troubling her, which made me feel that the hotel had deducted points.
LLinerGood service and location near the station with free parking a short distance in front of the ryokan, ryokan comes with a public bath where all guests must pay a small fee regardless if you are using it or not. 1 small weird detail is that in order to use the hot water for the room shower, the water taps at the basin need to be turned on towards the hot temperature and wait for a while before the shower has hot water.
HHanaSKStayed here for 1 night. The room is clean and cosy. Futon were very comfortable and warm (It was 1 degree Celsius that night and we don't feel cold at all). But there's a heater option on the air conditioner.
Onsen was nice but make sure you follow their rules. You can bring the towel from your room to the onsen, but if you want a new fresh tower it's 500yen (if i rmb correctly).
Breakfast is Japanese style, very hearty. But if you're not a rice person then i suggest to skip. There are 2 timing to choose, 7am or 8am.
You have to book the shuttle van in advance. I booked it during check in for the next day to Kawaguchiko Station. But don't worry if you're unable to book the shuttle van, there's a bus stop just opposite the hotel.
Overall a pleasant stay. The weather wasn't good tho (heavy raining and it was between 1-5 degrees) so we were just chilling in the room the whole time.
