Hotel Apartamentos Pyr Fuengirola

Stayed at this hotel as we thought the pictures of the pool looked nice on the photos compared to other hotels in Fuengirola. However, the pool area is one of the worst I’ve been too. Not the kind of pool you can relax at. The drinks are extremely over priced at the pool bar. There’s no drinks allowed at the side of the pool either. Usually I like to get a drink n sit with my feet in the pool. But got wrong off the life guard for having my drink too close to the pool. I travel a lot and it’s the first hotel where I’ve ever been told I can’t do this. Really bad atmosphere around the pool and dirty too so we didn’t spend much time around the pool which was a shame as we’re not really beach people. The pool was extremely disappointing, however, what made this hotel even worse was the staff. They were extremely arrogant at the pool bar and also at reception. Firstly at the pool bar we asked for a glass with some ice. OMG you would think we asked to lend some money from the till. Both the woman and especially the man are some of the most arrogant staff I have ever met. Especially after we paid €4.00 for the world’s smallest pint. Also one day I was in reception to enquire about a taxi. I but my glass of water on the counter top where the very rude and arrogant lady told me ‘this is not a bar so take your water off now’. It wouldn’t have bothered me if she asked me politely but the way she spoke to me was just so rude. I wish I had got her name. I don’t know how the hotel can get away with employing people like this. The hotel seemed to have a lot of Spanish staying in the hotel as we never heard any English staying there. I think maybe there is a bad feel towards British people as there’s no customer service what so ever. This is the first time I’ve ever been on holiday and wrote a bad review about the staff. But trust me, if you’re looking for basic customer service you would expect when on holiday, please don’t stay at this hotel.
Ona Las Rampas

I returned a week ago from my visit to Ona Las Rampas. I really couldn't fault this hotel at all. It was very clean, the staff were so very friendly. I only ate in the restaurant for breakfast and found that the staff were all so very happy, it was an excellent sign to show that they were happy within their jobs. The staff were all amazing, which made my stay an even better one. I enjoyed my breakfast, although I tended to eat the same food. But there was a large variety of food choices. The location is magnificent, close to the bus & train station. Shops, bars, restaurants and the beach. Although it wasn't a problem for me, as I only sat by the pool for an hour or so on two occasions, but I could see that there would be an issue with regards to not enough sunbeds and umbrella's during the height of the season. Unfortunately, due to the drought Spain are experiencing the pool closed a few days before I departed. But I would have only used it at the end of the evening. It wasn't an issue for me as I preferred to go to the beach. Excellent hotel and location for anyone wanting to get away on their own. I felt very safe walking during the evenings. Also, there is a theatre a very short walk away from the hotel. Whilst I was there they had the show Annie. The shows are all English speaking, I would recommend taking a look to see what is being shown whilst you are staying there. The ticket was €25.00. I will most certainly be coming back to visit this hotel again.
Apartamentos Nuriasol

I’ve given 4 stars because: Pros- The apartment was fab, pool view, air con in living area and bedroom. Full size fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, kettle toaster, coffee thing, washing lines and balcony furniture. Mop and bucket and sweeping brush. A little welcome package of washing up liquid, cloth, bin bag, sponge, dishwasher tab and a laundry pod. Advised on check in that for our 5 night stay our room would be cleaned once along with fresh sheets and towels and everything else was down to us to clean which in fairness I would have done anyway! We got disinfectant and toilet bleach in the supermarket downstairs for less than €2. The reviews complaining about the decor are ridiculous, is it a bit outdated? Sure but is it clean and liveable? Absolutely! Pool area was immaculate, plenty of sun beds and not many around the pool which was actually nice. Cons- The pool water was murky, we seen it being cleaned twice daily but the water itself could do with some treatment but there is a drought so we think that could be why. It didn’t stop us or others using it and everyone used to shower before entering and exiting. The bathroom is small and there is a massive thing opposite the toilet that should be removed as it made getting in and out of the bath to shower a bit dangerous. All in all 4 out of 5 stars, we would be happy to stay here again and very happy to recommend. The walk down to the ***** is 3-5 mins depending on your speed, the ‘hill’ back is not steep at all. A great location, easily accessible.

A beautiful apartment. All modern and great facilities, beds very comfortable and even though it is seafront the master bed is on the rear and very quiet, highly recommended. Spanish office were excellent, but the UK office were useless and extremely rude

Great location. Although choices for dinner weren't to my taste they were edible however the breakfast was definitely worth it. Freshly cooked omelettes, cooked breakfast or continental including chilled fizz everyday. Room was clean and comfortable can believe what we paid for the half board stay. Roof top sky bar definitely worth the visit
