Hotel Mainare Playa

What a lovely, clean, friendly hotel. Room was on 3rd floor and so spacious, beds very comfy, so clean and air conditioned. Breakfast was lovely everything you could want and a person doing omelettes and fried eggs, the restaurant was set up for breakfast lovely and the staff were so lovely throughout the hotel. Pool area great plenty of sun beds with umbrellas and trees for shade. The only two things I was disappointed with was no where to put wet clothes on balcony only of chairs then we couldn’t sit out there, need those little airers that fix to wall the other thing was checked out at 12 midday and no facilities to shower and change like most hotels have a shower room, we were told to use pool shower and the toilets but then everyone sees you washing your hair, we paid extra to keep room on. Even though I would still return to this hotel but have earlier flight. Thank you for a nice stay.

Nice place.common areas were nicely decorated, everywhere was very clean. Pool area not massive but plenty of sunbeds and no race to get one. Breakfast was plentiful with lots to choose from, including freshly made omelettes. Room was spacious but sparse. Staff were lovely, so helpful, friendly and welcoming. Location was at the quieter end of the ***** which suited us. Very clean.

I stayed here for 3 nights with my husband - a quick getaway for some sun while our daughter was away with school. Could not fault the hotel - with the exception of a few issues with the air con - however mentioned it to reception and it was sorted. I've seen reviews critising food - we stayed on a B&B basis and couldn't fault breakfast, there was ample choice of continental type breakfast and a selection of hot, together with breads, eggs cooked fresh to order, pastries - there was more than enough to choose from. We had no experience with dinner - however spoke to some guests who did and they did say it was questionable and after the first night they would probably choose to eat out in the evenings - as there is an abundance of eateries - including bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk. We got a taxi (€7 each way) to the marina one evening - and the vibe at that end of fuengirola, is very different to that in the vicinity of this hotel. Near the hotel is very chilled, calm and quiet - the marina is loud music and very busy - not a critism - just both areas are very, very different. The pool area in the hotel is tranquil - the main sound is birds! Beautiful! Our room was adequate, the beds comfy, pillows average, great size room and balcony - which for us was facing the pool and a slight sea view. We will most definitely look to return - without hesitation.

Food was awful staff rude not friendly the only thing the hotel has going for it is the large room and the beach across the road. Never again and would not recommend this hotel. Stay clear!!!!

We are 3 ladies who wanted nice hotel to spend an extended weekend at and this hotel did not disappoint. I needed to email before we went to ask if there was a fridge in the room and they came back to me within 20 minutes saying there was. We arrived the early hours of the morning and couldnt have had a nicer welcome from the gentleman on the desk. The room was very clean and it was a tripple room overlooking the pool with towels for all of us and a bottle of water each for us. Beds were extremely comfy and the room was spacious. The room was cleaned every day and the domestuc staff were very friendly. The lady on reception was exceptionally helpful, always smiling and nothing was too much trouble. We had bed and breskfast and if it wasnt for the breakfast i would have given the hotel 5 stars. The staff in the dining area worked really hard and were very pleasant, and the breakfast had lots to choose from but was quite basic. Fruit and bread were lovely, just the hot stuff that let it down, luke warm and not much choice for non meat eaters. The hotel is literally 5 minutes from the beach and an easy stroll onto the promenade. All in all a great holiday thank you to all the staff.

Enjoyable stay we friends. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were spacious and clean with a large balcony overlooking the pool. Breakfast was very nice with a good choice and freshly made omelette or fried eggs. The hotel was in walking distance to the sea front and 10 minutes walk to the train station. Overall stay was very good, unfortunately as the hotel was near a main road it was very noisy so difficult to sleep at night.
