It is almost you are staying in a very tasteful museum and every room is full of surprises. That combined with the modern amenities makes it a very special place. The best however is Jean Charles the host. He makes you feel at home immediately with his friendly nature and great sense of humour. He also is very helpful in finding restaurants of wine tasting ideas in the area. I would recommend this place to everybody who likes to explore the st. Emilion and pomerol areas. I would definitely return here

Jean-Charles goes out of his way to make you welcome and comfortable. Great sense of humour and helpful in providing local advice and instructions. Very comfortable en-suite room and good breakfast. Not the cheapest but a very happy experience.

A very tranquil location next to the Dordogne well situated for Fronsec , Pomerol and St Emilion wine tasting. Good facilities and bedroom. Breakfast was excellent and the host’s English was better than he let on. Highly recommend. Thank you Jean Charles.

A stately property surrounded by vineyards and Dordogne river flowing close by. An oasis of tranquility, where the owner Jean-Charles makes your stay very comfortable and relaxing. Our room was a 2 level one: the bathroom was upstairs and the bedroom on the lower level. We liked this arrangement - it makes it more private. All rooms are unique and Jean-Charles did an amazing job renovating this property. He has plenty of advice regarding the area - we followed all of his suggestions for our stay and it was always right and to the point. Our son enjoyed the pool while we enjoyed the views and the river. There is a salon on the second floor where one can have coffee or tea, and work if needed. The garden is well-kept and is a joy to walk. A car is required to visit the area, but everything of interest is not far away. Merci, Jean-Charles!

We booked this having done some research on *********** and TripAdvisor and thought that it was an informal quaint family establishment. Turns out it was exactly that. Even though we were the only guests at the time, we were welcomed warmly by the owner, who generously offered to cook an amazing dinner for us since all the nearby restaurants were closed. The rooms are tastefully decorated with an eclectic mix of modern and traditional - historical architectural features combined with modern furniture. Breakfast was also good with baguettes, croissants, various jams, orange juice, coffees and yogurts available. The building is also set in the middle of vineyards, with grape vines and the river Dordogne surrounding you. They have a pool and outdoor space as well. (Plus they accept small dogs for a 20€ s charge). They summed their position up on the phone well - ‘en pleine campagne’ - in the middle of the countryside. Overall a good experience.

We have just spent some incredible days at Le Petit Garros, everything was perfect. The kindness and sympathy of Jean Charles have accompanied us from the moment of our arrival, the house is beautiful, the rooms very beautiful and comfortable, the garden and the pool ideal for resting and the breakfast abundant and very complete. A great place to spend a few days and get to know the Bordeaux region. Totally recommended

A superb place with lots of charm in absolute calm in the middle of the vineyards. Original, large and very comfortable rooms but also superbly furnished lounges in which it is pleasant to linger. If we add the host's humor, it makes for a perfect stay that we will happily repeat. To achieve something more than perfect, an outdoor breakfast (instead of the indoor lounge) under the weeping willows would be a must!

This beautiful country estate is run with a lot of passion. The rooms are generously furnished and very clean. The owner is helpful and helped us with reservations in the surrounding restaurants. Breakfast included homemade jam, which tasted really delicious. We would love to come back.
