Lovely return visit to Lullington House. Very comfy beds, warm thoroughly heated room, very nice breakfast. Atmospheric house and property full of character and charm. Easy drive to Frome and Bath. Breakfast is between 7-9 am - (so no sleeping in if you are in holiday and want breakfast too). Two cooked options (full English, or smoked salmon and eggs) along with toast, yoghurt and fruit.

We stayed here during a 3 night visit to the area and had a massive room and ensuite with 4 poster bed and furniture of a vintage which was consistent with the 1866 vicarage. The whole property has been refurbished and maintained to a high standard over the years, mainly by Richard, with an impressive wide staircase and woodwork throughout. The breakfasts were cooked to order, excellent in both quantity and quality and served in the large dining room. Our host Richard was happy to suggest places to eat/visit and was very interesting to talk to on the history of the house in which he has lived all his life. If we go to that area again we would be more than happy to stay. The property is within a few minutes drive of several restaurants in and around Frome and within reasonable drives to Longleat, Warminster and Wells. The property and its ownership has a very interesting history, it is set in around 10 acres and is a 2 minute walk from the village which is also well worth a visit including the church.

Just spent a wonderful 2 night stay in Lullington House with my husband. The house is beautiful and decorated so well with antiques and tasteful furnishings. The gardens and trees looked magical in the frost, and it was do dark and silent at night. Saw lots of stars and heard a local owl at night. Breakfast was really good with fresh fruit and yoghurt, cereal etc. Also choice of 2 hot breakfasts. Lots of coffee and tea ready when you need it. I loved watching the birds at the bird feeder by the window at breakfast. Owners are very attentive and friendly. The house is close to Bath aswell as other places, so is very handy. The local shops and restaurants were great. Really enjoyed meandering around. We will definately be back.

Lullington House is a beautiful period property in a lovely area, where we stayed 3 nights. However we didn't find it to be 5* in terms of service and were disappointed that our bed which wasn't v comfortable with a soft saggy mattress, wasn't made during our stay. The shower gel was already half used when we arrived and not replenished and we had no milk to accompany beverages. Breakfast is simple with 2 choices. I am a vegetarian so ok but not great. My partner likes his breakfast but one sausage and one rasher of bacon didn't do it for him. We travel a lot and this sadly fell short of 5* expectation.

We arrived at wonderful Lullington House to be greeted by Richard who was charming and helpful. He showed us to our delightful room which had a view of the beautiful garden. The room was spacious with plenty of hangers in the wardrobe , one comfy chair and another chair (which would benefit recovering) , bedside tables with lamps and plugs next to the very large bed. The bathroom was quite small but had a very good walk in shower, toilet, sink and a radiator. We stayed for 3 nights and had a delicious breakfast each morning - there was a choice for the cooked breakfast plus toast and fruit ( not an enormous selection but fresh and good quality) and hot drinks. Richard recommended places to eat each night and we were never disappointed . While we were staying at Lullington House we visited Bath (using the park and ride) and many National Trust properties . Stourhead was our favourite and we were very fortunate to have wonderful weather during our stay. Thank you Richard for a great stay in Lullington.

Lullington house is a wonderful place. We had a wonderful 2 night stay. Our room was very clean and nicely decorated, with a very comfortable bed. The house and surrounding gardens are lovely, and the place is peaceful and picturesque. The communal breakfast table is not my thing, but with so few rooms it probably makes sense. Overall a wonderful place to stay with very welcoming hosts. Couldn't recommended it more.

If you want a really peaceful place to stay…here it is. Lovely grounds, splendid breakfasts, comfortable rooms, and wonderful hosts. The plus for us was a downstairs bedroom because my wife cannot manage stairs. The large Breakfast Room is full of pictures and amazing ornaments and has one large table for all to sit round, which is a great way to chat to other guests if you want to. The bird-table at the window and the ticking clock gave me a real sense of calm and peace, which is rare these days! If you want hustle and bustle this may not be your choice. We loved it.
