Comfort Inn & Suites Frisco East - McKinney

I stayed for 2 nights, my experience was ok, Walmart is a bit far from the hotel so I had to walk a long way.

Good place

I wrote a previous review, but for some reason, it only showed up as 3 stars. It is a 5 star hotel! Sam was so helpful and kind to my parents during an emergency situation. He placed them in a lovely room, and was totally on top of things during the huge freeze and snow storm in North Texas. Thank you for your professionalism and thoughtfulness during this difficult time. Wyndham is lucky to have an employee like Sam (I hope he is paid well, because he deserves it!). I recently stayed, and overall, it was a decent experience with some notable highlights and a few areas for improvement, largely due to ongoing renovations. Highlights: Customer Service: The daytime staff, particularly Nisha (I hope I’m spelling that correctly), was incredibly welcoming and friendly. Her professionalism and kindness stood out and made a great impression. Breakfast: The hotel offers an impressive breakfast spread, including cereal, bagels, toast, eggs, potatoes, meat, waffles, juice, and coffee. It was a great start to the day! Room Decor: The room itself was nicely decorated to match the area’s vibe. It felt inviting and thoughtfully styled. Location: The hotel is conveniently located within 12 minutes of many restaurants, making it a great base for exploring the local area. Areas for Improvement: In-Room Safe: The locks need updating for better security. Bed Comfort: The beds were firmer than I prefer, though the sheets were soft and of good quality. Pool & Hot Tub: The pool area clearly needs attention; resurfacing is necessary, and the hot tub, though hot, wasn’t fully functional as I was led to believe before booking. This was disappointing but manageable. Renovations: The ongoing construction is evident. While it’s clear the upgrades will significantly enhance the property, the pool area may be the last to receive attention due to the high costs involved. Final Thoughts: For the price, I would consider staying here again, but I personally recommend waiting until the renovations are complete to enjoy the full potential of this property. It’s evident that the management is working hard to improve the facilities, and I’m optimistic about the upgrades. In the meantime, the excellent customer service and breakfast offerings are worth noting as positives during this transitional period.

Don’t stay here! I stayed at this hotel 2 weeks ago. We had bed bugs in our room and have photos and video of the bugs and the bites and management refuses to refund our stay because we didn’t complain until the last day. We spent a lot of time outside while there and it was quite hot and there were mosquitoes out. We thought we were getting mosquito bites until we checked the bed! We book through Priceline so the hotel said we have to make a complaint with Priceline. I’ve been in contact with Priceline twice and they refuse to do anything because the hotel refuses to refund the stay. No accountability on either side! Ridiculous! I will never stay at a Wyndham hotel or use Priceline ever again! The hotel was also under construction and numerous safety concerns were evident (scaffolding left unattended, tools laying around, no solid walls in elevator. I’ve stayed in other hotels during renovations and never have seen anything like this. Terrible!

They have good staff at Front desk. Decent place to stay. There was some renovation going on ,taht did not bother my stay.
