We needed last minute accommodations while out of town and ended up booking this hotel through the app. I paid for four nights, which was non-refundable, but had that not been the case, I would have left as soon as I pulled in. The parking lot was a constant hang out for groups of smokers, and at night I did not feel safe walking from my car to the building. I suspect they allow short-term living as they all seemed to know each other, and by how they interacted. There was a police officer looking at video footage at the front desk which made us uncomfortable. It smelled “skunky” by the elevator every time we came in and out. Our room was outdated and old, and absolutely not even remotely cleaned. I had to take photos. Ceiling vent in the bathroom was caked with brown dust. The sheets on one bed had huge stains on the end of the bed, both sides. Worst of all, the shower curtain had a bunch of dark stains that looked like squirt marks, some of which still had substance residue on them. There’s no way housekeepers could have missed seeing that on a white shower curtain. It made my daughters paranoid to get in the shower. To be fair, the front staff was genuinely kind and helpful. For example, we needed to extend for a fifth night, requested additional pillows etc, and they were right on it. I still cannot believe the rates I paid for the quality of our room. I’m almost hesitant to book on the app again if it’s non-refundable after what we experienced.
