We stayed in a two-room suite on the lowest floor. We checked in remotely and never saw a staff member, but any needs were just a phone call away. Our entrance was from the side of the building, while most of the others were from the front entrance and lobby area. The suite was clean and comfortable. The sitting area was separate from the bedroom. And the kitchen area was bigger than usual with a full-size sink. It was well stocked. You had access to replenish all your needs in the lobby area, which had a lovely sitting area, table seating and quiet music playing. Access to it was also by a code. We explored upstairs from there and found access to a nice sitting area on the balcony. Also a nice enclosed courtyard outside the front entrance. There are bikes available for use, but unless you’re good at navigating steep hills - don’t expect to use them. Remember, you have access to a pool and spa at their sister property. That’s also where a front desk is manned. It’s not as centrally located, but within walking distance of the Bird Rock. Some reviews complained about the street noise. For us, it was just in the early morning when we heard trucks (maybe garbage collection?). The shower had plenty of hot water - and good pressure. We had to be conscious of the step-down to the bathroom and kitchen area. Nice that they have a built-in nightlight there. Would not use the sofa bed for adults. I slept on it and was very uncomfortable as I could feel the bars below the mattress.
