Freiburg im Breisgau Hotels with Gym

We stayed at this hotel for one night during our 5 days 4 nights trip to the Alsace areas. This was our first stop. The hotel located in a quiet area but within walking distance to the super market, many restaurants, bakeries, etc. However a car is needed to reach the city center. The room is simple but modern, clean, roomy with nice seating area and A/C. The complimentary breakfast was average but it is a nice bonus though. The staff was friendly and helpful. Because of the reasonable price, the complimentary breakfast and the services, I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

Beautiful hotel with everything needed for a short trip. Coffee and tea were available free. Unfortunately, the lady was unfriendly at the weekend and made it difficult for us to check in. We would prefer to cancel the accommodation immediately, which was not possible. All other staff were premature and helpful, and we have still enjoyed the stay.

This was my fourth visit to the Colombi and it was in all respects every bit as good as on all the others. It is a beautifully designed hotel, using the highest quality materials and the attention to quality is the hallmark of how it is run. The room was outstanding, so was the breakfast. The Colombi's piano bar is, in my view, the most tastefully designed and best stocked bar of any hotel I know.

Das Hotel besticht durch Kompetenz, Sauberkeit und Stil. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber. Das Essen im Restaurant exzellent! Das Frühstück mit den regionalen Produkten und den freundlichen Mitarbeitern einfach ausgezeichnet! Vor allem möchte ich die Mitarbeiter hervorheben, die ausnahmslos in allen Bereichen freundlich und bemüht waren. Ich habe mich hier sehr wohlgefühlt. Gerne wieder!

The hotel is located in a lovely spot in the woods, with walking/trails and birds chirping, outside Freiburg. There is a large terrace to sit on for a drink or a meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful to provide a relaxing experience. I really enjoyed the extensive breakfast buffett. If you are looking to explore the area, it is situated on the way to Alsace so you can go into Freiburg and France quite easily. If you want a hotel right in Freiburg, this isn't it. And the highway is a bit close by so there is some sound, but usually the birds chirping was louder.

Usually, we use Airbnb and avoid traditional hotels and this is the perfect example why. We had to book one day in advance on short notice and the price was roughly 150 euro excluding parking, breakfast or air conditioning. Parking cannot be reserved, but is first come, first serve. Apparently good for those who check in prior to 6pm, bad for us. The hotel could use some modernization, the style is quite old, outdated decoration and presentation. The staff at the reception was quite nice. We threw our stuff in the room and went out for dinner. We came back around 11pm and just wanted to sleep. Lucky us, the fan did not work properly but did horrible noises. And we found hairs on our bed. We complained the next morning during check out. By the way the two other guests checking out complained about different stuff as well. For us, no sorry from the staff, only a complaint that we did not complain immediately - yeah, at 11 pm and we were able to remove the hairs ourselves. Thanks, also for saying sorry. Overall, not worth the value and for sure they will never see us again.

Chic, central hotel. Pleasantly designed. Good air conditioning, quiet and powerful. Windows are very soundproof. Very good breakfast, although a little overpriced at 25 euros per person. Staff are very attentive. Good bar, lovely courtyard.

Spent 2 nights at the hotel. First the positive: Clean and beautiful Great heated pool AMAZING staff - nothing less!! Nice sauna Gym OK Good parking - even with a bit of EV charging Tried 2 of the 3 restaurants- good quality The morning buffet also very complete. Located in a small town 12 km away from center of Freiburg. Where there is positive there is also a bit of negative. Our own mistake not to go do an adult only hotel. A few families with smaller kids seemed perfectly fine with their kids making a terrible noise at the pool areas where you want to relax with spa etc. Not nice. If you can accept not behaved kids everything else is great. The hotel would get much better rating if a min age would be introduced Bo Harbeck
