The Country Lodge Hotel

Great hotel was good and the service was amazing. The pool was lovely, and the staff Agnes, Fatmata & Haja were very helpful. They all deserve a treat for their hard work, respect and hospitality. I would definitely recommend this place, the views of Freetown are amazing!
Radisson Blu Mammy Yoko Hotel Freetown

The hotel needs some serious investment in many common areas. We had a poor check in experience on our return visit after touring the country with the rooms not being ready and inaccurate and poor excuses given to us. The staff were trying their best but I felt they needed better training. Beware of staying here over holiday season as very loud parties and events around the pool and nearby meant it was impossible to sit outside and impossible to sleep as music went on until past 4am
Hotel Barmoi
3.5/517 Reviews
The Hotel Barmoi is an okay place to stay, especially by Sierra Leone standards. It has two pools and a restaurant/bar on site. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and contain a double bed, armoire, drawers, desk and micro fridge. The bathroom contains a sink, toilet, and bath/shower combination. The water is hot especially in the mornings. The room is air conditioned and you can control the temperature controlled. The bathroom is not air conditioned and is often quite humid. The restaurant is open throughout the day. Breakfast, which was included in our room rate, is a mix of fruits, meats, other local specialities, crepes (pancakes) and cereals. Juice. water. coffee and tea are also served free of charge. Lunches start at about $1.00 USD (10,000 Leones) and go up. The food is well prepared and quite tasty. The dinner menu contains a mixture of local dishes and foreign meals. I recommend the beans stew, which comes with either beef, chicken or fish and a side of steamed rice. The portions are ample and very tasty. The rate for my room was $90 USD per night which is very competitive for this level of hotel in Freetown.
Bintumani Hotel
3.5/56 Reviews
The Hotel offers nice views of the hillside of Freetown and easily accessed by transport to the SeaCoach Ferry and Water Taxi terminal. Decent rooms if only just a bit dated, friendly and helpful staff. Nice large courtyard to host large parties. Hot water is available in the rooms and the surroundings are clean
The Lead Hotel
4.7/545 Reviews
The second time was better, we loved the airconditioned room in the terrace restaurant. In spite of political curfew they did their best for the service not to decline, It s a real oasis in Freetown. The staff is nice and helpful, we felt they need more staff in the kitchen and to write the orders down, they don t know who order what and they take so much time. It is important to write everything down when meals are ordered from a group. But the meals are of very good quality. Thank you all
Home Suites Boutique Hotel
4.4/563 Reviews
This small hotel was a delightful surprise. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Laundry (same day service) was a bargain (about $2.25 per piece). Rooms were nice size, with good a/c. Large bathrooms and big shower with plenty of hot water. Dinner in the hotel was delicious -- the local entree (roast chicken with spicy red sauce), jollof rice, fried plantains was excellent! The breakfast buffet was quite nice as well, although we never found a bread/pastry item we liked. The pool is very small and you have to go thru either the dining room or the bar to get there and back! And the bar is not inviting at all. One night they refused to give our female friend a 2nd glass of wine?! And one night we found the ”no smoking” bar filled with smoke because they had a couple of ”locals” who were allowed to sit up front and smoke like chimneys. Overall this was a lovely hotel and we would recommend it to friends.
