Island Seas Resort

No internet in rooms have go bar outside. Beds- body sinks into middle even using extra pillows. Rent a car if staying. THOugh lots of Sargassum on beach, water was clean & not crowded. Hotel staff try to keep it clean and lifeguard on duty(which is great if you snorkeling) - only swim in dark areas in water (lots iof grass, bleached coral, fishes, and sea urchin)

Island Seas which at one time was a wonderful resort has become a vacation nightmare. Units decaying, multiple room issues with resort workers that don’t care. Beach looks seaweed heaven and not welcoming. Pools were cloudy and obvious as to why nobody was using them. Workers at the resort were provided better units than they set for a paying guest. Grand Bahaha island is a great place to visit just never staying again at Island Seas!

Let’s just say we will NOT be going back there. First, there was no WIFI during our entire stay. There was an apologetic notice but the issue was never resolved during our stay. Due to internet issues, the restaurant was very limited in services they could offer. Basically, served only 2 items on their menu. The place looks run down and not well maintained. They were under staffed-bartender was working the kitchen in the restaurant also. This made service very slow. Granted we were on the ground floor but to see cockroaches in the closets and bathrooms was absolute unacceptable. The television in the rooms were faulty-so static we could not see what was happening while trying to watch Jurassic World. The whole ‘luxury vacation vibe’ was dead. There were just a handful of vacationers and their so called evening activities was a laughing stock. Shared our concerns with management and we are still yet to be compensated. Our time and opportunity to create a family memory is lost but hopefully we can get some kind of financial compensation for all expense we incurred trying to make this a memorable family vacation.

Extremely helpful and pleasant staff, clean, large rooms with full kitchen and balcony with ocean view. Some fun activities onsite. The most beautiful beach on the island with towels, chairs and umbrellas provided with a restaurant, bar and pool nearby. Not the fanciest accommodations but will suffice for an island vacation. Not a highly commercialized area

We had to pay an extra $200 in cash out of pocket upon arrival, just get a room. No Cleaning services, they only emptied our garbage once in the 7days that we were there. Our rooms were not cleaned at all and clean towels were only available upon request with at least 48hour wait! WiFi was not working at all in all the areas of the whole resort, terrible service!

This resort is dated however beautiful walking beach (at low tide or the adventurous at high tide). Grounds are well maintained. Plenty of beautiful plants and flowers. Rooms are dated however sufficient. Did not supply tea or coffee in room either take some or they have a coffee shop Java in lobby. Beautiful View of white sand beach and aqua Caribbean Sea!! Somewhat friendly staff. They probably need a little guidance on hospitality. With that said All of our needs were met. They can be helpful if you are friendly to them. It has to be tough to work while other people are on vacation!! Can walk to Junkanoo to the left on beach or go right to eat at Michele's good food, good prices and nice people. Go alittle further to the $2 Dollar Bar for some local fun!! Felt Safe and all the locals are very helpful....even if you don't need it. We rented a scooter...you should rent a car!! Check out the local parks..have lobby call first for hours and days open. Garden of the Groves, Lucayan National Park (Gold Rock Beach - very long gorgeous beach), Bishops Bar Beach Club (for lunch), Coral Vita (restoration of Coral), Bahamian Brewery, Paradise Cove (to snorkel Deadmans Reef). Support the local history and nature to help them keep it beautiful!!
