I have been an owner here for over 20 years. Each time I come here, they offer less and less for amenities, services, and entertainment. As an owner, I feel slighted that activities are geared toward the cruise ship people that pay to come here for the day. When thongs were good, I could get a printed schedule of activities and plan my week….not now…. And NOBODY CARES. If I took a tour now, I would not buy a membership! The beach and pool are wonderful. The Bahamian People are great…but if this place does not get their act together, I am will not return. It is expensive to get here, get around, and eat of the economy. I hope someone at Taino reads this because many of is older owners are NOT happy. You sold me a Big Mac, and you decided to skip the special sauce …get it. No excuses!

If I could give negative stars, I would. This was the most disgusting place that I have ever stayed. From mold in both bathrooms, to filthy showers, bathroom door wouldn’t close, rust and filthy beds, dish washer didn’t work, hot tub didn’t work, activities area everything was torn up or completely unusable, restaurant was filthy, rooms haven’t been updated since they opened, service was awful, they were rude and didn’t have enough towels, water was out one day for 5 hour, the safe didn’t work. Do not stay here.

So the check in is pretty funny standard ask to do a timeshare review which we turned down.. the review center was a ghost town pretty weird. Our view is at a pool which there isn’t a human in site. Look left garbage containers. We are on the 5th floor.. elevator goes to 4, huck bags up from there. Room bed is old school spring mattress pretty rough. Room was pretty clean and has a bunch of kitchen utensils. Balcony is the only place to receive wi-fi but electric outlet blown out doesn’t work. So there’s that. Back to the pool where there is a blown out guy seeing the first 30 seconds of a bunch of classic rock tunes. Bad singer but very entertaining in a funny but not funny way. Water slide doesn’t work, shuffle board has sand dunes on it. Let’s just say it’s not kept up at all 1 out of 10 in maintenance. Stay away from railings in rooms and halls, very sketchy.. lol People working here are VERY nice. The little one restaurant on property scary “looks” upkeep. Servers very nice and food surprised not bad. We are calling this place zombie land. You want to be alone. This is the joint for sure.

The supposed 1 bedroom was 2 studio units that Flintstone and barbie decorated it. Huge cockroaches. Malfunction AC dripping water all over the floor. That they didn't try fix. Rusty shelves in fridge. The only good thing was the nice quiet beach.

This resort was the worst resort I have ever stayed in. I traveled for work many times and my wife and I have taken 2-3 trips per year in the last ten years, all being at top motels, hotels and resorts. This resort may have had good beaches, nice pools and friendly people but the room was abysmal. First of all, its decor was straight out of the 1960s, pick concrete bed stead, couch and mirrors covering every wall. The kitchenette had a broken microwave, a phone with a broken cord, no pans for cooking, shoddy utensils, dirty floors they never cleaned (we were there one week), a safe that did not work, and to top it off, we were expected to change our own sheets, pillowcases, towels and washcloths. No dish soap for the dishes. We had to gather our dirty items, put them in a plastic bag, and set them outside the door. They were picked up, washed and the same items brought back later that afternoon. It wasn't until the last day we finally got a shower mat. Met other guests who had the same issues. These people had similar rooms who were upgraded once they bought into their membership program. The food cafe was under separate ownership so they were a little different. It was open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., with about ten items offered for each meal. Prices were above average, ranging from $8-10 for breakfast, to about $25 to 35 for their late afternoon meal. The food was good and enough was offered. Liquor was the same. All in all, the worst place I have ever stayed at. I would never go back to it, nor would I recommend it to anyone.

The beach location can’t be beat. Staff was pleasant and friendly. The room was ok, it had a good amount of space for 2. Being able to cook meals there was a good money saver. The only major downside was the bed. It was terrible. It was way too firm and it was a terrible nights sleep. The restaurant onsite is good, staff was friendly and courteous. It’s also affordable with good food.

Pros: The rooms had lots of space and the Beach and Pool area were very nice with lots of activities for the kids to keep them busy and entertained. The free ferry to the marina was really nice. Cons: This resort needs a serious update! We had a 3 BR villa, which was actually 4 separate rooms. One of our units was leaking water from the AC unit in the kitchen all over the floor. In another unit, the AC wasn't working so we had to call maintenance. All of the units appeared to have what looked like mold spots/stains on the floor, and some of the appliances were broken or falling apart.

The resort itself was beautiful. Some of the staff were caring and nice however most of the staff were not pleasant and acted like we were a burden. For example, we called the front desk for towels one time in a 7 night stay and the front desk woman told us to come get them. When my husband went to get some, she said there was only one left and was not interested in helping us find any clean ones. It was discouraging to say the least. We did the 90 minute tour and was interested in being members but once we made our final decision which was a no, they were not interested in making our stay enjoyable. Also, if there is no cruise ship, forget about anyone caring about the people staying on the actually property. The motto appeared to be quantity over quality. Also, I suggest renting a car, taxis to anywhere on the island are outrageous. There is no shuttle offered to anywhere but the grocery store once or maybe twice a week. We enjoyed our time but we have zero plans of visiting again.

If you read the web site and think it's accurate you will be fooled. the resort is dated and offers no activities on the beach as it indicates on their web site. The pool is the nicest thing in this hotel and it is not really that good. the tv's in the rooms are from the 90's and have poor pictures and sound. I was not happy with the amenities. The beach is beautiful. If your looking for a resort with very little guess and just want to relax on the beach and don't care for the amenities. Then this resort is for you.
