WoodSpring Suites Frederick I-70

This is an extended stay place, not a typical hotel room. You have a room with a bed, a table with two chairs, a fridge, microwave, two-burner stove top, and a dresser. You can purchase a cooking kit and a dinnerware kit. NOTHING is provided for cooking/eating. There's no guest lounge with (terrible) continental breakfast, because this is an extended stay and nobody wants to eat that terrible breakfast day in and day out, plus it adds to the cost of the stay. If you are looking for hotel amenities, book a room in a regular hotel. The staff was helpful. The room was comfortable. There are actually people staying here, so sometimes there was a little noise. But we did not feel that the place was noisy or that there were any safety issues. Thanks for a great stay!
Comfort Inn

We were comfortably ensconced in our room, ready to head out to a Frederick Keys game, when my son noticed the lack of a shower curtain in the bathroom. I told the front desk person. Instead of scoffing at me, she walked upstairs, confirmed the lack of a curtain, and immediately moved us to a new room. Kudos for the great customer service. The four stars aren't for that. It's for two other items. First, it isn't hard to program flatscreen TVs to see the right channels on the program guide. Beats playing a guessing game through 60 channels. Second, they should consider bumping up their breakfast selections. The hotel is off a busy road with direct access to I-70. People want to fuel up before a big drive.
Best Western Historic Frederick

Stayed here while in town for ice hockey at Skate Frederick. Nowadays, it is hard to find a hotel with two bedrooms in one room. This place has it, and it worked out great. My wife and I took the room with the king-size bed, and the two teenagers took the room with two double beds. Worked out perfectly. The room itself was clean, and the beds were comfortable. We were greeted as Best Western Rewards Members instantly upon arrival, which was nice. The hotel is kind of in a residential area, but that mattered not to us, as we ate downtown before arriving. Only a small complaint was that none of the TVs worked until our teenagers did whatever they did to make them functional. Otherwise, it was a great stay and will definitely stay here again, as we will have games at Skate Frederick sporadically the next 5 years.
Sleep Inn

No extra service, just standard. They booked us 60+ on the fourth floor & then told us the elevator was not working! They were booked so nothing could be done. Glad one of us didn’t have a wheelchair! Disappointed in Sleep Inn, I expected a little more friendliness/welcoming. I also booked a non smoking room. When we finally climbed 4 flights of steps due to elevator broken, opened the door to the Room & it smelled smokey & the air conditioner was turned off! It was steaming hot in the room! I won’t be booking at this hotel anymore. Very disappointed Sleep Inn- Frederick, Maryland!!!
SpringHill Suites Frederick

When I got here, I was excited about the clean and spacious room and was thinking I'd found a great new place to stay; however, this is definitely a one time stay for me courtesy of rude and unhelpful front desk staff. As a business traveler, I have extremely long and hectic days. I was little surprised and concerned when I saw that ”quiet hours” don't start until 11:00 p.m. Sure enough, around 9:15 a group of people started making a ton of noise not far from my room. On the rare occasions that has happened at Hilton, when I called the front desk they sent someone up to locate the sound and dealt with it. When I called the front desk here, the woman said she couldn't do anything about it if I couldn't give her a room number. Already in bed, I wasn't really looking to get dressed start walking the halls. As with many situations, the way she said it was probably more off-putting than what she said, even though I would've thought she might've cared enough to come up/send someone up. I asked if I could move rooms and she sounded annoyed but said I could. Then a few minutes later she called back, said there aren't any groups staying near me, and that quite hours don't start until 11:00 so if it's still noisy after 11 THEN I can move rooms. I never lost my temper but I told her that 11:00 is pretty late to begin quiet hours and she said, again in a pissy tone, that no matter what people will be unhappy so this is what was decided. Newsflash: quiet hours or not, any time a paying guest is miserable in their room and unable to rest because of other guests, the hotel staff should be willing to either do something about the noise or accommodate the unhappy guest. I stay in hotels every other week 52 weeks a year and this is the worst customer service I've ever experienced. This is definitely not a good hotel for anyone who shows up exhausted and needing to sleep during a business trip full of long days. Who would've thought the Red Roof Inn hotels would have better customer service than Springhill Suites - and for $79?!

The room was clean and spacious. The desk staff was pleasant. The bed slept great and wasn’t bad for the money. The WiFi was bad. In my room anyways. Would not log in long enough to do anything. There was a huge empty space between the bed and bathroom. A table would have nicely filled the void. Had to run the water quite awhile before it got warm enough to get in the tub. No refrigerator. But, good enough for a one night stay.
