A lovely boutique hotel in Franscheok, which was delightful to stay, and the staff made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. We would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay and take in the sights, and wine tasting experiences.

Undoubtedly the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at, this place is stunning, everything designed and decorated to perfection. Complimentary drinks a delightful bonus, all the Lemon and Verbena products were lovely and the scent will forever take me back there. The staff were really attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. Location perfect for access to the Main Street and the Franshhoek wine tram tours. We only stayed 2 nights but I wish we’d had longer.

A lovely small residence hidden behind the Main Street in Franschhoek. Staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. Great rooms, and a very chilled atmosphere full stop. Complimentary drinks and snacks were a lovely touch too. The swimming pool was really just a plunge pool but valued by those who like a dip. Breakfasts were excellent. We'd definitely return.

What a lovely boutique hotel/ b & b in the heart of the village. Great massive bedroom the pictures do not do it justice and a bathroom the size of a bedroom. Lovely outdoor pool areas, and a wonderful breakfast to start the day. Would definitely stop here again.

Really very smart hotel with outstanding service. Very welcoming with friendly staff. Large smart rooms with very comfortable bed. Nice touches, like hot chocolate in your room at night left after the bed is turned down. Lovely breakfast. Hotel is right in the centre of Franschhoek with large choice of restaurants on the doorstep. Had a fabulous time here

This is a real find, and a real treat to stay at. Last year we stayed out of Franschoek & had to take a shuttle in and out. Here, you are on the main street within walking distance of everything. The hotel is beautifully decorated as are the rooms, which have the usual tea, coffee, water etc... and gin & tonic! We were lucky enough to have a pool suite which was perfect on a hot day. The one minor criticism would be the limited wardrobe storage - but we were on a long trip and had a fair amount of baggage including golf bags etc. The breakfasts are amazing - really good choice and all freshly prepared. I did like that there were jars of cereal, yoghurts etc on each table so you didn't have to constantly get up & down. There is a very relaxing bar area where guests tend to meet - and a well stocked honesty bar. You can help yourself & write down what you have taken. The hotel provide nibbles as well. Extremely civilised. Conrad & Franklin are wonderful hosts & go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay. They have a wealth of knowledge about the area and can advise on restaurants, trips & general info. There is a secure parking area which is a big plus too. Must mention the turn down service with the most gorgeous sweet treats - and not the usual chocolates. I remember a really fab creme brulee, and mini meringues. Heaven. We'd certainly return, and also visit some of the other Last Word properties too.

Lovely boutique hotel situated in the middle of the town within walking distance of shops, restaurants and museum. Unfortunately it means there is no view of the wonderful scenery from the hotel and the pool is small with only a few sun loungers around it due to it the hotel’s central location. There is also a roof top terrace but we didn’t use it as there wasn’t much shade. We had a pool suite. The suite was large and open plan (personally I prefer a door to the bathroom and a toilet with a sink but that doesn’t seem to be how hotels are designed hotels in SA) and beautiful decorated. The air conditioning was efficient and quite. The terrace and pool were small but afforded us some shade and the pool was good to cool down in. The hotel only serves breakfast but the food was good quality and plentiful. There is a well stocked honesty bar and the hotel offers room service for drinks. The staff were all friendly and helpful. A great hotel and would stay there again.
