I regret not reading the reviews before making a reservation here. I am a cancer patient receiving chemo treatment and the smell of the room and the hallways were making me nauseous. I wanted to do an early check out. But Karen insists that this is my problem and that they never had an odor complaint at this location. I explained to her of my situation to her. I have been staying at Marriott hotels for last 8 months for my treatment and this is the worst place I ever stayed. Not just the uncleanliness and the odor but the attitude from Karen the manager. Obviously from reading the reviews they do have odor issues but she lied to me. I sprayed a heavy duty febreeze but it didn’t help at all. Never ever experienced such an obnoxious and heartless manager on duty. I bled during sleep from this stressful experience. I was crying and begging for refund for remaining 9 nights of my stay but she refused but eventually she charged me an extra night and gave me a refund for 8 nights. She charged me an extra night but informed me to leave in an hour. I hope she will never have to deal with cancer herself to have a decent heart. I have never witnessed commercial garbage located on the floors next to the guest’s rooms

THIS IS NOT A 4.1 rated hotel!! (Two bedroom suite) Outdated, old torn carpet, outdated stained and scratched furniture, water damage in bathrooms, stained patched walls (with patch showing) Bathroom fixtures about to fall off. We found a bug in one bathroom, not sure if it shows an issue or had just crawled in. We arrived late and noticed the outdated part but were exhausted so went to bed. This morning we took the pictures to the Manager and we were told they would not charge us an early cancellation fee if we wanted to leave. They don’t have any other suites available. That was it. We reached out to our Ambassador and are waiting to hear back but the area is sold out due to sports tournaments. I just want others to be aware this is a dump.

We had an amazing time at the Residence Inn by Marriott Somerset! We booked room 403, which was a spacious 2-bedroom suite with two queen-sized beds. It was absolutely wonderful! When we arrived at the hotel, we checked in and a friendly lady explained the breakfast schedule and the nearby attractions. Our room was even more spacious than we thought, with a large kitchen, a cozy living area, and incredibly comfortable queen size beds. The breakfast was a delightful surprise! There was a wide variety of delicious food, including scrambled eggs, waffles, and sausages. We couldn’t complain about anything! On our morning trip to Princeton University , we accidentally left some valuables in the breakfast area. We immediately called and asked if they had found it. To our relief, a lovely lady named Flora found it and kept it safe for us while we were away. She was truly a hero for her kindness and we couldn’t thank her enough! Overall, we had no complaints about our stay. The only thing we were a bit disappointed about was that the pool had closed. We hope it reopens soon if we plan to return in the future. We truly appreciate the wonderful experience we had at the Residence Inn by Marriott Somerset. We hope to come back again soon! Thanks a bunch, The Stella’s

A perfect place to stop on my daughter’s move to Brooklyn. Plenty of parking space for our moving van. Convenient location near restaurants and other services. Very special thank you to Josue for going out of his way to assist us. So kind after our long, long drive. He’s a great asset to Marriott!

Must Avoid for Business Travellers: 1. Rude staff, and they claim Marriott Elite status is not applicable to their hotel. I just requested for couple of bottles of water which is complimentary every where with Platinum Elite, but not this hotel. 2. The breakfast is rudimentary at best. No fresh fruit….etc. Old run down property, no bar or restaurant etc….not ideal for business travelllers.
