Franklin Furnace Inn & RV Park - Oh

This campground is a lovely little spot to camp. We got site 54 and the view out of our door was the Ohio River. The campground is clean and well maintained. It has older, wooden picnic tables and a fire ring at each site. The sites are a mix of gravel and grass and are more than an adequate size. Our site was decently level. They have a fence on the river sites because there is a pretty significant drop off that goes straight down to the river. We had to use the showers because our water heater stopped working mid trip and they are modest but clean with good water pressure. There is laundry, putt-putt, corn hole, playground, fishing and swimming lake. The camp store has essentials but is not fully stocked. The roads are gravel and maintained pretty well but you could tell it was about time for them to be grated again. Not sure what there is to do in town, we were only here for relaxation. The only reason it didn’t get 5 stars was because I’ve been to nicer campgrounds but this little place lacks nothing for a relaxing get away.
