Conveniently located 12 miles from downtown Ellsworth, 24 miles from Acadia National Park, 29 miles from Bar Harbor, and 50 minutes from Bangor International Airport. -Hot Tub, Deck, and Fire Pit-Brand new hot tub arrived May 2024 along with a covered deck with string lights to enjoy the views of the water and warm up after a day exploring. Enjoy your complimentary morning coffee or tea watching the sunrise in rocking chairs on the deck and end the day with a smoke-free bonfire in the Solo Stove relaxing in Adirondack chairs. Don’t forget ingredients to make s’mores as you can find marshmallow roasting sticks in the kitchen. There is a gas grill and outdoor table that seats six surrounded by string lights that set the mood and turn the deck and outdoor seating area into a cozy entertaining space.-Kitchen and Dining Room-The kitchen comes fully equipped with all standard appliances, a Keurig with a coffee pot, electric kettle, french press, and more. The dining room is accented with a modern electric fireplace and table that seats six.-Living Room-The living room has a top of the line electric pellet stove for added warmth in the winter months and cold nights. There is also a brand new mini split with air conditioning and heating. The living room has a 55” Smart Roku TV that allows for unlimited streaming capability. You have the ability to log into your streaming services in "guest mode" that will automatically log you out of on the date of your departure. There is no cable TV. Cell phone service can be spotty in the area, but the house is equipped with high speed 300mbps WiFi. This is our favorite place to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, as the room is filled with natural light as the sun rises.There are decks of cards, board games, books, and two yoga mats for your enjoyment. Our waterfront home is located on the tidal bay called Taunton Bay and Mill Brook. The house is a great blend of a traditional Downeast farmhouse with modern amenities. Wasgatt Point, or as we call it, "the point", is a short walk down the driveway to watch the sunrise, admire Schoodic and Cadillac Mountains or pick blueberries when in season. See osprey, eagles and other wildlife from the kitchen table. In the month of May, watch the Alewives, a type of fish, make their way up the brook to spawn which brings lots of action to the water. Bring your kayaks to explore the bay where you may see seals or your bikes to explore Acadia and The Downeast Sunrise Trail. Trail parking is only a couple miles away where you can unload your ATV's and travel downeast. We are 10 miles from Ellsworth, 26 miles to Bar Harbor, 20 miles to Winter Harbor, the Schoodic Peninsula portion of Acadia National Park and 38 miles from Bangor.
