experiência indescritivelmente má. chegamos sexta feira dia 9 as 18h para uma estadia até dia 11 - que marcamos online com base nas 4 estrelas e nos comentários positivos que lemos. chegamos e no check in fomos atendidas por um senhor na casa dos 60/70 anos, olhos azuis, cabelos brancos, óculos pequenos retangulares e fato (faço uma descrição pormenorizada pq mais tarde pedi-lhe o nome e ele recusou-se a dar). logo de início ficamos de pé atrás pq eramos 3 e marcamos um quarto com 3 camas e o senhor disse “bem já vi q são 3 e vi que pediram 3 camas mas não sei se montaram o quarto assim pq só temos quartos de 2 camas”, para nosso espanto. depois perguntamos se o quarto não tinha carpete (já que pedimos na aplicação q não tivesse) e, mais uma vez, surpresa… “todos os quartos têm carpete menina” - o que ou é mentira ou então as fotos que tem nas aplicações são falsas, ja q se podem ver vários quartos com pavimento normal. agora começa o verdadeiro horror. subimos para o quarto, exaustas. mal entramos reparamos que o quarto só tem 2 camas. descemos a recepção p pedir p irem colocar cama extra, resposta? não tem cama extra. têm apenas um estilo de sofá desdobrável, sem colchão. pedimos que o montassem então. resposta? não montam, somos nós q temos q o montar e em segundos o senhor vai a uma sala atrás da recepção e da-nos uma pilha de roupa para os braços onde se encontrava uma fronha de almofada, um edredon e um lençol. lá montamos o sofá desconfortável e sujo (com manchas). qual é o nosso espanto quando olhamos para o retorne nos deparamos COM COGUMELOS A NASCER NO CANTO DO TETO. sim, COGUMELOS! flores, fungos, algo verde e biológico! eu fiquei no quarto furiosa e as minhas amigas desceram p pedir a mudança de quarto. não permitirem pq alegadamente não tinham quartos livres, mas o senhor - não acreditando no descrito - subiu ao quarto p ver. espantadíssimo (aparentemente) desculpou-se dizendo que para o preço q pagamos não podemos pedir mais, que na alemanha é mesmo assim, que há hotéis muito piores onde ele até já esteve instalado em q se ouvem os ratos a andar nos tetos portanto q lamenta mas q não nos podíamos queixar. disse também QUE O HOTEL PAGAVA A PESSOAS ALEATÓRIAS PARA FAZER COMENTÁRIOS POSITIVOS FALSOS. qual a solução q nos arranjou? pedir desculpa e oferecer 3 garrafas de água pelo incómodo. ridículo? é pouco. ficamos revoltadas mas de mãos e pés atados, decidimos que no dia seguinte íamos fazer outra vez queixa na recepção - até pq ele nos disse q ia apontar, mas que ao fim de semana não havia serviço de limpeza e que não podia fazer nada. no dia seguinte descrevemos a questão ao outro rececionista que também subiu para ver o quarto (sozinho) e voltou chocada. este segundo mudou-nos imediatamente de quarto, pediu imensas desculpas… novo quarto… uma mancha igualmente grande de humidade no teto. mas pelo menos não eram cogumelos… conclusão: experiência asquerosa, condições asquerosas, rececionista asqueroso. outros pontos

Я останавливался в данном отеле всего на два ночи во время экскурсионного тура по Германии в сентябре 1998 года, но почему-то этот отель мне запомнился. Что мне больше всего запомнилось, так это то, что через дорогу от входа есть поле с небольшими деревьями. Это создавало ощущение, что отель находится не в одном из самых крупных городов Германии, а где-то за городом. Вокруг отеля нет плотной застройки, поэтому в комнате было очень светло и солнечно. Меня сразу заселили в номер, очень приветливый персонал. Холлы, коридоры и лифты в отеле были новыми и чистыми (вообще было впечатление, что отель недавно открыли). Он находится далеко от исторического центра города, но рядом (в шаговой доступности) находятся две станции метро. Моя комната была не сильно большой, но обставлена современной новой мебелью и использована в ванной новая сантехника. Постельное белье у меня было новым и чистым, немного разноцветным (не абсолютно белым). Окно моей комнаты выходило на вышеуказанные поля. Завтрак был по системе ”шведский стол”, но не отличался большим разнообразием, зато был вкусным. Я помню этот отель и с удовольствием остановился бы там снова, если бы мне представилась такая возможность.

Wow- My visit started with the most facetious, arrogant, condescending harridan I've ever had the misfortune to encounter at any hotel, ever. Baffling how such an obnoxious person is employed in the hospitality industry. I could write an entire review based on how horrible this person is, but it would likely be banned by Tripadvisor, so let's move on! However, the other staff member I met was the most awesome ever- and totally went above and beyond to ensure my A&O visit went as smooth as possible. (You know who you are- Thank You!!!) As for my lodging- I was relegated to an annex outside the main building, which was not too bad as the weather was agreeable. But having to walk outside to the reception, lounge, (closed) kitchen or breakfast area in the rain or snow would have been quite unacceptable. Like all A&Os the interior was spotless. My dorm however faced an open lane/parking area often populated by drunk vagrants- or maybe drunk guests. The ground was littered with beer bottles, cigarette butts, and smelly stains (you can figure that one out!). One of the few downsides about A&Os is that six bed dorms are often two pairs of bunks, and two single beds pushed together. Those two beds seems to come with a single locker, so the dorm may be lacking in that regard. The en-suite was great though- spacious and separate rooms for toilet and shower, both with sinks, lots of hot water and even a towel warmer. So yes, as I write the covid thing is still real, and precautions must be taken for the sake of the staff and guests. Which brings me to the only thing I could not abide: despite the hostel being nowhere near full, they seemed to pack each dorm to full capacity before opening another. As they say, there is a reason for everything. But if they want to take covid seriously, my hunch says fewer guests in more dorms might be safer. Especially when the common area washrooms are shuttered- what the heck!? To sum it all up- this may not sound like the best review, but I do generally recommend A&O Galluswarte. Someday when covid is a thing of the past and operations are back to normal, I hope to stay here again.

The location is a bit rough but they do a great job keeping everything clean and cozy. Water in the shower needs a few minutes to get hot but it works fine. Good for solo travellers who don’t mind the location.

A clean hotel with a good location near the station. Our room was on the 6th floor and thus we had a great view of the Skyline. The room was clean and adequately large. The station environment ok, but we were just sleeping there.

This is a 100% honest review. And i will try to write as much to help other Customers who are looking for Hotels to book. I know how hard it is to read Reviews and all, but i hope this will help. This Hotel has the best service of all! From the Valet Parking, to the Receptionist (who speaks perfect English), to the Room! ROOM: First impression in entering the room, was.. WOW. IT SMELLS CLEAN AND GOOD! It is big enough for 2. They provided us 2 free Water Bottles, they have Shampoos, Body Soap, and Lotion. The Pillows are Comfortable, Bed is really Big (but don’t expect too much) it is just good enough to sleep. If you’re looking for EXTRA comfort for sleeping, this is not the one for you. They have Airconditioning (which is really important), and it works PERFECT! BREAKFAST BUFFET: They have wonderful WAITERS AND WAITRESSES! They will go extra mile for you like when you get your Coffee yourself, they will offer to do it for you. It gives a lot of choices when it comes to Food. Their FOOD is superb! I still can’t get over with the Waffles 😅 it is true that it’s a little bit Pricey, but if you’re a Breakfast Person, i would highly recommend you to get this one! 😊 Overall experience, it was excellent!

Great hotel with excellent atmosphere in the bar area. A welcoming smile and service at the bar from Abdullah. The whole vibe of hotel really stands out. Breakfast is also of a high standard and the whole team here seem happy to help. Will be using more on my future business trips!

The guests really enjoyed their stay. The manager was very friendly and serviceminded and the bar were of good standards. It was a friendly environment, with pleasant people all around. The guests would really recommend this hostel, close to both the tram and metro. The guests would like to come back!
