I was here for 1 night on a quick business trip through Frankfurt. The location from the main train station was my initial reason to stay here, and it is very close - just an extra block away from the Le Meridien. Easy walk with luggage from Frankfurt (Main) Hauptbahnhof to both hotels. Roomers is very trendy and non-discrete. So much so I guess I was not dressed 'trendy' enough for the door person to help open for me while rolling my luggage into. But I digress. The staff I interacted with were all very nice and friendly, including the front desk and restaurant. I did not have an opportunity to try the bar on this stay. Why I gave this 2-stars is for the room... I was ”upgraded” to a ”quieter room” with my Elite Status, which I appreciated upon check-in. The room itself was fine with very dark interiors and roomy enough for 2 people. There was a place for luggage, desk area and comfortable bed. The bathroom was a good size with plenty of sink space and large shower. There were, however, no USB ports or easily accessible plugs to charge your phone at bedside without moving furniture around. And why I will not stay here ever again is the lack of sleep from the thumping music until 3:30AM in this upgraded ”quiet wing of the hotel”, as well as a very warm room temperature that never seemed to cool down all night. The thermostat said 22, but there was never any cool air coming out so I doubt the A/C was working. And the bass from the music was so strong it was making items on the desk move and create noise until 330AM. Waking up for an 8AM meeting with little sleep, and having to get dressed in a very warm room was not enjoyable. The hallway and lobby were cooler than inside my room. I wanted to like this place, but quality sleep is important to me. So I will try another hotel next visit.

We stayed here for one night before we flew out of Frankfurt home to the U.S. I picked it because it was right across the street from the train station (or so someone told me). It's technically not ”right across the street.” You need to cross the street and walk maybe a block, turn left and it's right there, just in case you're like us and dragging luggage with you. There are also taxis that just sit outside the hotel if you ever need one. We are also Bonvoy members and I had enough points so that I could pay cash and points for this hotel. I reserved a junior suite because we needed a room that could accommodate us and our 12-year-old daughter. It is surprisingly difficult to find this in Europe. I called the hotel when I booked the room maybe a month or two in advance to make sure that the junior suite could indeed accommodate us and I was told it would (the pictures of this room on the Bonvoy website are not clear--where exactly in the room is the extra bed? There isn't one. It's a rollaway. This is why I called). When we arrived, there was some confusion or a problem with getting our room with an extra bed, and that's when I reminded them that I specifically called the hotel and asked if such a room could accommodate us and I was told yes. Whatever the problem was, they got it sorted out and we had a rollaway delivered to our room when we got up there. My suggestion is that if you need an extra bed(s) for your kids, call them the day before you arrive to (re)confirm that there will be a rollaway and/or the room you reserved will indeed accommodate your family. The junior suite is not very big, but it was fine for the three of us for one night. It's true that the hotel is not in the nicest area, but you can walk to the Rhine and restaurants. If I were staying more than one night and didn't have to fly out early the next morning, I would have stayed farther in town. The bed was very comfortable. I thought the breakfast was good--at least it was a lot better than the breakfast at the other hotel where we stayed before coming to Frankfurt, lol. The eggs were not rubbery and overcooked, and the food selection was just better overall.

The reservation for my stay was made via my travel agent. This is not normally a corporate approved hotel and I now understand why. When making the booking the agent requested early check-in, but did not request guaranteed early check-in. That means if a room is available upon arrival one can check-in. If no room is available one has to wait until regular check-in time which in this case is 15:00. The hotel is located next to the trade and convention center. There are no events as yet due to the pandemic. The hotel is quiet. I arrive and ask to check-in and am told I could only do so as of the official check-in time. When I mention early check-in had been requested by my agent a second receptionist appears and confirms that rooms are available. She also proceeds to inform me that I need to pay a EUR 40 fee for early check-in. I challenged this and mentioned that no other hotel will charge such a fee if rooms are vacant at the time of the person arriving wanting to check in. The receptionist explains that staff had to work faster to ensure the room would be available for early check-in and hence the fee. As it turns out the room was last cleaned, aired and disinfected April 27th, a full six days prior to my arrival. Hence this fee is simply to rip off of guests. While the rooms are fine, the hotel is centrally located and well connected to public transport, this organized extortion means I will never book this place again.

We had chosen this hotel consciously, because it is footing in the neighborhood of the people we wanted to visit. The hotel offered breakfast and various rooms (with beds with common mattress (1.60 m wide) and separate beds). These were the points that led to the decision for this hotel. We booked a room with separate beds and breakfast. What did we get? A beautiful room on the second floor (without lift) with common mattress! If you are not used to this, you don't have to try to sleep at all. Once one moves, the other is also awake! Although the window to the street let fresh air in if not just one stood in front of the house and smoked, but also the street noise and the crash of the church clocks. Well, with earstops it went. The breakfast was not made to us, because we were allegedly the only guests who booked the breakfast. If it was really so, I have completely understanding it, but perhaps it was told to all guests. We were offered a lunch package instead of breakfast (which we did not accept) and we didn't have to pay anything for the missing breakfast. These two things (common mattress and no breakfast) would have been worth the hotel contact us after the online booking (one week before arrival!) and inform us of these circumstances. Instead, we can travel and present us to complete facts. Otherwise what the staff is very nice and helpful there is nothing to do. I don't think we're trying it again in this hotel.

Wow- My visit started with the most facetious, arrogant, condescending harridan I've ever had the misfortune to encounter at any hotel, ever. Baffling how such an obnoxious person is employed in the hospitality industry. I could write an entire review based on how horrible this person is, but it would likely be banned by Tripadvisor, so let's move on! However, the other staff member I met was the most awesome ever- and totally went above and beyond to ensure my A&O visit went as smooth as possible. (You know who you are- Thank You!!!) As for my lodging- I was relegated to an annex outside the main building, which was not too bad as the weather was agreeable. But having to walk outside to the reception, lounge, (closed) kitchen or breakfast area in the rain or snow would have been quite unacceptable. Like all A&Os the interior was spotless. My dorm however faced an open lane/parking area often populated by drunk vagrants- or maybe drunk guests. The ground was littered with beer bottles, cigarette butts, and smelly stains (you can figure that one out!). One of the few downsides about A&Os is that six bed dorms are often two pairs of bunks, and two single beds pushed together. Those two beds seems to come with a single locker, so the dorm may be lacking in that regard. The en-suite was great though- spacious and separate rooms for toilet and shower, both with sinks, lots of hot water and even a towel warmer. So yes, as I write the covid thing is still real, and precautions must be taken for the sake of the staff and guests. Which brings me to the only thing I could not abide: despite the hostel being nowhere near full, they seemed to pack each dorm to full capacity before opening another. As they say, there is a reason for everything. But if they want to take covid seriously, my hunch says fewer guests in more dorms might be safer. Especially when the common area washrooms are shuttered- what the heck!? To sum it all up- this may not sound like the best review, but I do generally recommend A&O Galluswarte. Someday when covid is a thing of the past and operations are back to normal, I hope to stay here again.

We stayed two nights at this hotel. We arrived early from our US flight and the staff was able to get us a room immediately, even though it was a few hours before check-in time. We really appreciated this, since we were all tired after the long flight and had two tired kids in our party. Their breakfast is really good and well stocked and clean. We enjoyed it on both mornings. This hotel is some ways from the airport and it is around 40 Euros one way in a cab or Uber. Romer (city center) is around 10-15 minutes from here (around 12 Euros in Uber). We were able to experience Frankfurt's wonderful Christmas market on 2 days conveniently from this hotel. The best part about this hotel was the staff. They were really welcoming, helpful, professional and took pride in their jobs. Every interaction with the front desk was awesome and the lady who manages the breakfast area was working very hard to keep the area clean and the food well stocked. Kudos to the staff of this hotel! We did notice two small issues with this hotel. One issue is that there's no restaurants or groceries nearby. It seems like an industrial area. To mitigate this, the hotel does have Pizza available in the evenings. The second issue was that the rooms were too warm. Since AC is not on during winters, the only option to make the room temperature more acceptable was to open the windows, which made the room noisy because of cars driving fast in the street nearby. The blankets provided were more like comforters and so we couldn't use them at all. The hotel should find a way to fix this issue. In all, we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and will definitely consider it, if we plan to spend time closer to the city center.

The room is quite clean, but there are no slippers, mineral water, toothbrush and toothpaste. It would be better if they all have them. Breakfast was okay, the croissants were hot, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, so delicious. There is a large shopping mall nearby and it takes 15 minutes by taxi from the airport.

I have previously reviewed this hotel and I am happily doing it again, because this hotel is really super. The staff is very friendly, the location is great and the rooms are in super condition, super clean and spacious. The value for money is outstanding. We love also that the Skyline Plaza is opposite and you can easily pop by to get some shopping done, get some take away etc. We have not tried the breakfast, so I cannot comment on that. We come here twice in December each year since about 6-7 years, when we are on our way to Nothern Germany and we do a one-night-stop here, and we stopping here again on our way back home to Switzerland. We will certainly continue to do so. The only critical point is that the pillows are far too high. We always as for flatter ones and they are usually provided.

I can't recommend this hotel with good conscience. It's certainly not the worst in this price category, but it has failed in some points that are important to me in a accommodation. This was already started in the room: the room was apparently partly renovated in the early 2000s, the tape floor was plenty of smoothness. The bed was clean, but was rough at every movement. But the pattern was forgotten when the renovation was done. I had dated the late 80s or early 90s, accordingly, their condition was also: golden, smelling to tobacco and partially broken. The whole room was smoking permanently, as it was probably the guests who used the backyard before the window to smoke. Air was only night. The TV did not disturb any sound, although the volume was shown, so we assumed it was broken. But for two nights we did not think any more about it. The bathroom was probably in the original state, so I'm going from a construction period of the house in the 1960s. My grandmother had a very similar equipment in her guest clothes, but better received. After all, almost everything worked here and the shower head was new. Except for the constant tobacco smell, it would have been all too painful, usually I ignore something like that. Old, even harmful device can be very charming. But unfortunately it was also extremely noisy. The house has a 24-hour reception occupied (good service, you must admit) with a bar next to. Our room was now, unfortunately, just next to it and seemed to include everything talked about there as in a box. Even late night hours were operation there so that sleep was not to think. When guests passed a roller bag in the early morning, I would almost have fallen out of bed. The most important thing at a hotel is, I think, that you can sleep there. That was definitely not the case here. Maybe with ears, but not so. Breakfast was admittedly very, very good, there is also the second point for it. Also the staff was mostly very premature - mostly, except for the manager. This was relatively shortly connected in a conversation before the stay.

This is really the best choice for a business trip to the exhibition. The DB station is just across the road, one stop to the exhibition, and one stop to the central station. There is free parking under the bridge next to it. The room facilities are very ordinary, basically equal to ibis, and the breakfast is also very simple , no laundry service, this is not good

Amazing hotel! not too far from the main train station, and has a big shopping mall right beside (tho food choices seem a little bit limited). the room is BIG and CLEAN ( important! ) . housekeeping service is not done everyday. food that's sold by hotel ( eg cup noodles ) is pretty expensive. lots of people on business trip stays here. there's a stadium right behind, was a little rowdy due to a soccer match on that weekend of my stay. theres construction on the main road but it's fine, they stop pretty early.
