The experience was horrible and surreal: I checked in and went to rest in my room. At 1.30 in the morning a man started banging on my room door saying he was from reception. When I didn't get an answer he continued doing it another 4 times. Of course I didn't open it or answer. As a woman travelling alone after this I feel unsafe. The next morning, when I told reception about the situation, they told me that it was the guy from reception because I hadn't paid at check in. NO ONE told me I had to pay at that time. However, it was a business trip and I was going to be staying at the same hotel for 2 more days and they had my card details. Does anyone really think it's a good idea to bang on a guest's door in the middle of the night so they go down to reception to pay a bill that they can perfectly pay the next day? OUTRAGEOUS and SHAMEFUL!!! The only thing I received was a sorry out of pure commitment arguing again that the guy did it because I hadn't paid. AWFUL
