Awesome location and place

Great lodge in Francistown for 5 persons. Amazing dinner with a lot of choice. Staff very pleasna tand helpful. I and my older children did a great running around the Digger at 18h. All fantastic

We needed a place to stay when we attended a wedding in Francistown and had very few leads on a good and comfortable place to stay during out two nights stay. The hotel seemed to have decent ratings online and the immigration staff at the Botswana Border were helpful enough to recommend the place over other hotels in the city. We were definetly not dissappointed. The place is well located right in the cbd but is in a quiet enough area. We were able to walk from the hotel into town to do some shopping. The place is also within a small shopping centre with a restaurant, botiques and other small shops. The rooms were clean, air conditioned and spacious. We loved the vintage design of the rooms though we felt the carpet in the corridors was a bit dated. The hotel also has a very secure parking space and a restaurant. Owing to our schedule we only dined there for breakfast on one of the days. We are not too sure if they have buffet breakfast as we were served a la carte. Our meals were generally well prepared and service was excellent. All in all a good, clean, secure and comfortabe place to stay.

The family room met our needs, the check in staff, not really helpful attitude after we had travelled a long distance and it was later in the evening with small children, a small guidance on how to unload and get bags in would have helped. Check out was an unnecessary long process, the lady wanted to check which site I booked through, even after I confirmed via *******, she wanted to share how with the other sites payment is not taken.

The staff are friendly however management is aloof. Also a little pricey for a struggling town. It's nice when managers greet their customers something the continentals know very well. After all we customers are doing you a favour by coming there, you are not doing us a favour!

We drove up and down the busy streets of Francistown to find the hotel, in a shopping centre, of all places. Some brown signage would be a huge advantage. The hotel had its own secure parking area with security guards which was fantastic. Our room was on the first floor. Didn't hear road noise and slept well. This was the closest we got to a typical hotel. Dinner was available at a nearby restaurant upstairs in the shopping centre, part of the hotel, and a good breakfast choice was available at a coffee shop, also part of the group. Next time have to fit a coffee and cake stop in here!
