Econo Lodge

We slept in this hovel on the night of September 19-20, 2023. We had slept there in the past and it was already an eyesore then. We had to stop because it was dark and we hadn't made any reservations. We had no choice but to try our luck here and the price suited our budget. A horrible and damp room was assigned to us in a small, isolated and dark corner. We asked for another room which seemed a little better but a 'smoking room'. The receptionist told us there was nothing else. My Choice app didn't work too! We had nothing for us. The price was the same as that offered online anyway, i.e. $76.50 before taxes for those over 60 years old. We had room 219. The shower didn't even work. See the photos as proof. The handle was rusty and outdated. No coffee maker in the room. Coffee offered at reception only at 8am if I remember correctly. No breakfast and no dining room for that matter. Everything was dirty in the small coffee area at the reception. There was a condemned staircase going down. What a disgrace for the Choice chain, this 70s motel that has never been renovated. Choice should visit this dump and ban it from their site. A bitter disappointment in short and we strongly recommend that you do not book here or stay overnight. We were on a motorbike and had no desire to look elsewhere after a long day of driving. If you are driving, it is worth looking for another location.
