Pros: located very close to the Falls, can walk to the entrance easily. Easy access to the airport. Quaint, cosy spot that is surrounded by greenery. Spacious room and makes you feel like an escape from the city. Great breakfast spread! Good shower and bed. Cons: when we arrived, we were told both lunch and dinner would not be available till the end of the year and this left us scrambling for options to find take-away or travel out to the city to find food. The location is isolated, with gates controlled by a remote - this becomes an issue when you need to let delivery persons in and out when there isn’t someone at the reception. The room was not cleaned or towels changed over the 3 nights we stayed even though we asked twice. The lady at the reception gave us wrong info when we asked how to get to the Argentina side of the Falls, was generally not helpful. We were served rotten eggs on one morning - minor issue as this was not noticed by the cook. We were quite disappointed! When we arrived no one was there to open the gate for us and we when we came back on some nights, the reception was empty with no one around.

This place is a beautiful sanctuary! Jungle trees and birds everywhere. A nice pool and very nice cabins that are well equipped. I wish I had stayed longer. Very nice staff and very close to the falls. I walked there and back easily. Very close to the airport too! Highly recommended!

I really liked this accommodation, which consisted of chalets set in a lovely green area which is part of a farm near the Iguazu falls. The chalets are very large, with a living area, a large bedroom, a bathroom with an outdoor view and a kitchen area. There were chairs on the front patio. The air con was efficient, the bed comfortable and the shower powerful. There was an outdoor pool, which was great in the heat and we were able to wash some clothes and hang them to dry on the airer. Breakfast was included and it was quite good, although the buffet was left uncovered and there were quite a few flies around at times. The farm is walking distance from the entrance to the falls and the Bird Park (15 minutes) ,so it’s an ideal location and there are some other hotels nearby for dinner, if you wish. The reason I’ve only given 3 stars is because of the following: The staff on reception were helpful, but we felt that we were being overcharged for taxis which they booked for us. The final straw was on checkout - we were leaving at 9.00am to go to the airport, but there was no one on reception when my husband went to pay. When someone came, we could not pay on a card, as their machine did not work. We had asked them to order a taxi for us. They went to find another card machine, by which time we were getting stressed, so we booked an Uber, which we had found to be reliable and abundant. We eventually paid in cash and then our car arrived. We left and the driver drove down the path to the electronic gate, which is opened in reception where there are cameras on the gate. The gate was not opened, even though we had just left the reception. Our driver got out and rang the gate buzzer several times. Still it didn’t open. After about 5 minutes the driver got back in and reversed all the way up the drive and went into reception and the gate was then opened. This left us with a very negative view of the Pousada, when I had felt it was a great place to stay, so it was a real shame.

This was a mixed experience. The hotel is in a beautiful setting and is very close to the waterfalls at Iguazu. It was unfortunate that on arrival after 4.00 there was no eating option available and we were told that a taxi ride to the Mall was all there was. We later discovered a hotel over the road that was happy to serve us! Check Out was a nightmare. Firstly there was no one there for 10 mins and I had to get someone from the kitchen to help. Then, none of the machines were working and we had to use up our remaining cash. Then they forgot to open the electronic gate for the Uber driver. All of this added to thr stress of getting to the airport. It is a three for the location.

This is not really a hotel. It is a cluster of chalets built on what still is partially a farm. I chose to stay here because it looked quirky. Rustic may be a better description. The chalets are spacious with 2 rooms and a separate bathroom. There is a bunkbed in the main room for kids and the bedroom has a large comfortable bed. There is a kitchenette as part of the main room but there is no microwave. There is a toaster oven and a one burner stove, plus a fridge and a sink. Everything is concrete, adding an industrial feel but not in a modern way. There are big warehouse type light switches and power points attached to electric tubing connected to the walls. The bedside lights can be moved by clamps. The ceilings are high and there is functioning air-conditioning in both rooms. The bathroom is sizable with a large walk-in shower which has a glass exterior wall with plants outside and a privacy screen. There is a blind that can be lowered but is unnecessary and ours was also mouldy. The water pressure was satisfactory but certainly not as gushing as the nearby Iguassu Falls. There isn’t a hair dryer. The eco-toilet, which we have not encountered before but is apparently more common, requested that used toilet paper be placed in the bin beside the toilet rather than flushed. There was an attached hose for personal cleansing as well. The eco part of this establishment also meant the room was not cleaned during our 3-night stay. Breakfast is included and it wasn’t bad. There was no hot food available when we were there but it seemed that during a busier season, there may be. The staff were friendly and tried to be helpful. The benefit of the location depends on what you’re wanting to do. It neighbours the Movie Cars Wonder Park and a water park and is a 400-metre walk from the Bird Park. It is only a kilometre away from the Brazilian side of Iguassu Falls. It is only an 8-minute drive from the Brazilian airport. However, there is no food close by and the main town is 30 minutes away. It is also not easy to find and any taxi driver would have to look up the location on Google. We paid $US180 for our 3 nights. I get the impression many hotels in Foz de Iguazu are not overly glamourous, beside the luxury resorts. The Pousada Guata Pora isn’t a bad option, depending on what experience you’re after. It’s basic but comfortable and served our purpose reasonably well. Check out my other reviews of places, hotels and experiences throughout South America.

The property is rustic but safe and beautiful. Conveniently located near the gate if the Igazzu Falls National Park and close to airport. Family Chalet was spacious and clean. Breakfast was included and good . Marcella at front desk was very helpful.

Because of fraudulent reviews I mistakenly stayed at this dirty hell hole last December 2021, - nothing is like the deceptive photos or reviews, on the contrary everything is dirty, starting with the reception area that smells quite bad. The cabin - room was very dirty, with a quite a bit hair in the shower, the furniture had stains and also smelled bad, there were spider webs in the room, the stove had not been cleaned in a while, - a generally dirty and forgotten. If by misfortune you arrive at night no one will be at the reception area, you are on your own. There are no restaurant close be, ordered a pizza and it arrived after two hours. By the way I have the photos to prove all of this - the only good thing was when we left the room early in the morning. The local tour operators can corroborate that this place is a not a nice or clean hotel.
