The hotel is of an excellent high standard with regards to decor, food and staff. However, I would not recommend it for couples or singletons who are wanting luxury and peace. Whilst we can accept that family is the ethos of the hotel and you wholeheartedly embrace and accept children in all areas this does not mean than children should be able to ruin others experience and parents be allowed the slack off being ‘parents’. Children running around the dinning hall, pool areas, bar, up and down stairs. With no basic standards or rules to uphold it was often an unpleasant experience, with lack of respect for other paying guests. Parents not being held to account for actions of their children. There were also inconsistencies with regards to the adult dinning area, as young children were often seated there making the website claims redundant. On the other side, if I was visiting with my husband and children it would be fabulous family hotel. However if my husband and I fancied a quiet few hours whilst the children were in the den - we would be faced by other peoples noisy children either in the spa pool or terrace. Having no adult only area not only hinders couples but for those parent who require the peace and quiet whilst their own children are in paid care. Unfortunately due to this we would not be returning, and would strongly consider whether we would visit as a family if that meant no quiet moments for us as parents. Overall if these minor changes were made; adult only area (just one!), spa pool time for adults, and upholding the adult dinning area consistently. This would be a fabulous experience for all!
