Got an upgrade in parent/child room on 35th floor It looked fully renovated, fresh scent and carpet smell. My room was very big and clean and looked like I was the first one to use it. It had that fresh smell They could change the breakfast times to times and add more options for halal/muslims customers. Overall they have a lot of options in breakfast too Cleaning was spot on and location is very near to all restaurants and shops. Multiple Canton Fair shuttle a day to pick you up and drop you back to hotel Swimming and gym was also very nice I would use it again for sure but only if it’s 35th floor and above

The hotel stay was fantastic! One of the best and most luxurious hotels I have stayed in. It was huge and a family of 4 could stay comfortably. Wanted to get a day bed for my daughter but she was comfortable sleeping on the huge sofa. The facilities were complete and staff was great and help was given whenever it was needed. Every time my cab arrived at the hotel there was definitely someone opening the door for us.

Location is very good! It was just 2 minutes walk a block after Shipaiqiao subway exit D. Taiko hui, just next door, grand view malls, festival walk is not far away from the hotel. There are many restaurant around the hotel. Food court just before Exit D. We booked non smoking room but the room have cigarette smell heavily. We tried to get rid of the smell by opening the window and sprayed perfume but the smell didn’t go away. The hotel has free Laundry and dryer facility that was located at 8th floor. Detergent is also provided for free. Clean towels are provided everyday. Rooms are also cleaned everyday. After all it is a pleasant stay, room size is quite big. If you are looking for a economical place to stay at CBD area. This place is highly recommended. I will surely come back and stay at this place again in the future.

That difficult decision- you have 7 hours at Guangzhou - Do you slum it in the lounge, scrapping for the last comfy seat, or risk getting a 144 hour visa, heading to the domestic terminal and booking into the hourly pod hotel! I'm still not sure it was a good idea, but grabbing 4 hours of sleep, getting a shower and hopping back on a plane for the second leg was ace. Would I advise running the gauntlet of a post-covid dash to domestic terminal? Maybe only if travelling solo & sprinting to the front of the visa line, with all necessary paperwork printed off and ready. No toilet, unless you cross the corridor and you'll need to pay via WeChat or in local currency. But the bed and the pod hotel concept is a wonderful treat mid-journey

Checking in was a quick process and apparently this hotel chain is a big player in Guangzhou so expect a lot of activities. Housekeeping is provided daily but they missed out on the bed for one day during my stay. Breakfast is simple but good with drinks and limited fruits. Location is very convenient as it’s right smack at Beijing Road. As mentioned by other travelers, there’s only one elevator serving the entire building so expect a longer waiting time. The bonus about this hotel is their free laundry service.

Location was not the best, however it is close to the airport, only took 10 minutes for the driver to pick you up and they also provide free drop off service too. The room was not that big but I didn’t mind, all I cared about was that the bed was big and very comfortable. The room was also clean and so is the bathroom. Located at Exit A of Guanzhou Subway Station, it’s only a minute away from me. It’s very suitable for me as I’m taking my baby as one more step would kill me. The suite has one bedroom and one living room, which is quite satisfactory and has all the facilities and equipment expected in an apartment. A 2-meter bed is enough for a family of four, let alone a family of three. It's perfect. There is a convenience store and McDonald's downstairs, so you can grab a quick bite. If you want to eat more, you can take the subway one stop to Wanshengwei. There is a large shopping mall there with a lot of food. It is suggested that the children's playground in the apartment can be improved. The children's picture books are badly drawn and dirty. The building block table was also rotten and there were not many building blocks. The slide is too shaky, and timid children will not dare to play after a few tries. It is recommended to add more children's books or children's toys. If you were expecting to have a children's paradise, but when you go there it's a shabby place and it doesn't have anything like this, you'll be quite disappointed. Overall, staying in a hotel apartment is very comfortable.

It was a surprise to get a free upgrade when checking in the hotel, after searching thru WeChat proposed hotel, noted that I was paying 100++ CNY more for the deluxe room! When going up the hotel, the corridor was dark and the spoilt bulb wasn’t replaced. Things get more challenging was the bathroom water was so milky this morning which I couldn’t use it to shower nor washing my face. This is also the time when I was rushing to board my flight!

Our order has 2 breakfast everyday but the hotel record only shows 1. We have to show the trip.com confirmation (luckily husband has printed it out, we can't find it again from the order) and they checked that their record is wrong. Billy at the reception doesn't smile and I think he should ask me to add 1 more breakfast (because there is discount to add in advance) but he didn't do so and make me spent half hour to prove I should have 2 breakfast in the next morning. The manager Yannes has apologized and let us have breakfast in the VIP lounge (also free for tea time and happy hour). The food is only average. The waitress asked me if the food okay, I said the bread of the egg benedict is too soft. Then she answered usually people dont' eat the bread. Do you think her answer is so strange? The hotel is grand, the garden and pond is beautiful, room is cozy but you can hear the noise in the next room. The cleaning lady has good smile and polite. Very close to the MTR station and the restaurant Dim Dou Duck.

Centralized A/C which is too hot even though i have switch to the lowest degree with cool high air. 2. Window too dusty as i was told to open the window if is too hot and stuffy 3. Shower top needs to change as the rubber tip turn brownish and water shooting from different direction 4. Breakfast expenses need to pay on the spot and not able to settle upon departure 5. Lift is alittle scary to me even though is safe. The lift have not completely stop and the door open. Overall, staffs is good but hotel is kinda old.

Fabulous historic hotel in the center of the beautiful YueXiu district. Rooms are huge, staff is efficient, speaks English, and very polite. Rooms have high ceilings, huge windows and very well decorated in a classic but super comfortable classical China style. Yuexiu Park metro station is 5 min walk, and next door is a Starbucks and McDonalds. Across the street is a new mall with lots of Chinese restaurants. It’s also about a 10 minute walk from Guangzhou’s famous clothing wholesale markets. Hotel lobby is huge and totally fabulous! Staying here makes you feel like you are living a life of luxury, but still at a reasonable price. One thing I would tell the staff to improve : showers need to be scrubbed better because any mold in the shower is unacceptable, even a little. This is a common problem in China, different standards than western cultures I guess. Otherwise, this is the place to stay. Standard Rooms here are a lot larger than at the China Hotel next door, and usually rooms rates for both properties are similar. Why not stay at Dong Fang and get a nicer room for the same price ?

If I describe the hardware of Jumeirah Living as a pupil getting 99 out of 100 in an exam, then I will be in big trouble when commenting its software – 100 out of 100 is just not enough to describe how wonderful the ladies and gentlemen at Jumeirah Living are! The hardware at Jumeirah Living may be amazing but still has something for me to be picky with. However, I guess even the most demanding people will find it a struggle to think of a word to be picky with Jumeirah Living’s people. Maybe I can put my conclusion here first: among all the hotels I have experienced in Guangzhou, Mandarin Oriental, Jumeirah, and Jumeirah Living have the most amazing people. While MO and Jumeirah hotel should be proud of their accomplishment, this is a particularly huge achievement for Jumeirah Living – any service apartment should be really proud of itself if its service is comparable to the finest hotels. It is just like a water polo athlete winning a professional swimmer in swimming. The fact that a water polo player can overperform a professional swimmer in swimming, which the former only practices as a supplement to her/his main training in water polo, proves how hardworking that water polo athlete is. I cannot respect this hard work more! Even though I would put MO, Jumeirah, and Jumeirah Living as the top three of Guangzhou, they are wonderful in very different ways. MO is like a well-educated Confucius scholar; Jumeirah hotel is like a royal butler polishing every service to the finest possible extent; for Jumeirah Living, my apologies, I need more than one sentence to make the metaphor. When we began college, the school would usually assign each of us a student mentor, who may be one year or two above us. These student mentors are usually exceptionally energetic and caring (to the extent they would worry if we knew where to eat pizza on campus!). However, their care is different from those from parents and teachers. They are much more easy-going and someone we can feel at ease to be with; someone we can laugh and hang out together. This is precisely how the ladies and gentlemen are like at Jumeirah Living! The most important thing is I do not think my encounter with these amazing people is incidental – I believe the culture of Jumeirah Living is like that. This is because I have encountered at least three people at Jumeirah Living (Abel, Vivian, and Winson) as easy-going, friendly, and helpful as the student mentor described above!

Easily one of the best hotels I have stayed in while in china. My wife and I already live in Guangzhou so we only went for a staycation but we were blown away by the room. The size of the room and the view from our window. We stayed on the 50th floor and I must say it was breathtaking. There were a few minor complaints, firstly the AC in the room wasn’t the best. So we found our self’s overheating a little during the night but it wasn’t unbearable. Second overall the staff were very nice and friendly but there was one lifeguard at the outside pool that was a little rude when we forgot to bring a swim hat to the pool. The breakfast too was a little overpriced for what it was and there are definitely better options outside the hotel Other than these complaints I can see why this is one of the best hotels in city and I would recommend this to anyone who can fit the price range.

This time I stayed in a girl's quadruple room. Fortunately, it was good and cheap. It was very close to the destination I was going to. I liked its location very much. It was very convenient to wash and sleep. The key was that the price was really cheap. The girls in the same room were also very nice. This is the level that the Youth Hostel should have. In short, I like it very much and will come again next time. There are a lot of food to go out across the road, and there are also 711 convenience stores. It's so convenient. Guangzhou finally showed his good side to others. The only problem is probably some small bugs. These small insects are a bit active in summer, and there is no big problem after the air conditioner is turned on. I think everything is worth it.

The hotel is very clean, and the mattress & pillow are super comfy. Very thoughtful Hotel to provide us with breakfast, afternoon tea & simple supper up to 10.30 pm. Every staff member in the hotel provides us with hospitality. Ok, this was a 5 star hotel and everything is expected to be immaculate. However, I had to sleep there for a night to notify them that their air conditioning wasn’t working. I lost 2 nights of sleep because of that… They also will not take your food deliveries and you will have to go downstairs all the way to take it yourself. Is it really posh and comfortable? Yes. Will your money be well spent? Not really.

I rented this room with my family because I was attending a banquet nearby. There were 4 bottles of free drinking water and two wash basins in the room, so I didn't have to fight for freshening up in the morning. The view outside the window was of the river and a large green tree. There are many convenience stores and small restaurants downstairs, so you don't have to worry about finding something to eat. Pazhou subway station is just a 3-minute walk away, and there is also the Mai Kee subway.

Visited during Lighting Exhibition and the main purpose of selecting this hotel was its close proximity to Exhibition center. I book twin suite room at 35% price of Shangri-la Hotel which is near to exhibition area too. It was a business visit so I did not have any high expectations. Room was very nice and spacious and there was a washing machine, microwave and many electric sockets. Room had big french windows directly facing the Exhibition area. Best part of the stay was its distance to Exhibition and it just took me 10 minutes walk to reach C Area and another 10 minutes to reach B Area through the bridge. There are not many restaurants near the hotel. Just 3-4 behind the hotel so I preferred calling food from wechat and had to go down to collect it. Overall it was a nice stay and I would like to come back during exhibition time again.

Excellent location. Do note that if booking Didi from airport, the hotel is called 美居, cost approx RMB50-60 including toll. Room has smart TV, good shower and aircon. Passenger lift is often spoilt or very slow. When we checked out today, all 4 passenger lifts were not working, everyone in the hotel had to use the one and only cargo lift and it was chaotic and stressful for those of us catching flights. We were on level 15 and had to plead passengers to squeeze and make room for our luggages in the cargo lift, one of us then walked down the stairs. Staff 米朵was most helpful with recommended dining locations.
