Days Inn by Wyndham Fort Wayne

Good value for those looking for a moderately priced place to sleep. We had booked a queen room which happened to be in the second floor. When the man at the desk saw we were seniors, he upgraded us to a King room so we could be in the first floor at no extra charge. For those wanting more than the continental breakfast (coffee, tea, juice, waffles, sausage/egg/biscuit sandwich, cold cereal, bagels, muffins, bananas, yogurt) the amount saved from booking here is more than enough to purchase breakfast at the nearby IHOP, Golden Corral, or Cracker Barrel.

The location of the hotel is good, the environment is good, clean and hygienic, the transportation is very convenient, the meals around are also convenient, the service attitude is very good, the breakfast is good and rich, and I will choose to stay next time I travel.

Great hotel with a “parking” fee added to your room fee - that’s okay in that it is only a small charge and I knew ahead of time as they clearly state that up front - but why not just raise the room rate to match others in the area? Gorgeous rooms, comfy beds, decent breakfast. Would stay again.

First off - the pictures on website are NOTHING like the property - when you call to make reservation there is a welcome message indicating they are proud to announce renovations have been completed - the hotel is filthy - stinks - bathroom off the lobby had poop all over it and urine smell terrible - didn’t even use the bathroom - we were given a key to room 301 - window in hall outside of room was broke and could hear highway - room keys did not work - people were sitting outside of the room watching tv on their phone (shady people) we were appalled by the filth of the whole place and the smell was terrible - we went back to front desk and told them we were not staying - because of misrepresentation of the conditions- the “staff” behind the front desk were 4-5 men (could not understand we needed refund) I don’t believe they could understand much English - another disturbing thing was they made a picture of my drivers license when checking in (I have never had this done at a hotel) I did request the copy of my license be given back to me - I am now working with the customer complaint dept (not much help) I was advised to call manager at the hotel and request refund - when I called - was told manager was not there and not sure when he would be in (not today not tomorrow just not sure when he would be there) I gave the person who answered the phone my request and information to pass along to manager - I do not expect a call back! I know that each hotel is individually owned but I would think comfort inn would have district managers that monitored the properties since it represents their brand! I was not able to get a contact number for corporate offices here in United States - the customer service for complaints in housed in Central America (which we had a language barrier) My husband and I are not high maintenance people by no means but this property is a disgrace for comfort inn and for Fort Wayne! Again - do not book this hotel if you think you are going to the facility shown to you on their website (unless you want a good laugh) total misrepresentation! I wish I would have taken pictures of actual property but we just wanted to get out of there!!!!! I am still hoping to get a refund since we did not stay (didn’t even get in the room)

Employees are the best go the extra mile, times are tough so it’s been tough finding a rental and they make it feel like home and I feel SAFE.

We stayed at this hotel for one night and it was a very pleasant stay. The guy working the front desk the night we checked in was excellent. We stayed in a 1-bedroom suite with a bedroom separate from the living room area. We had a family of 4 but only found 2 towels in the room. The guy working the front desk quickly got us 3 more. We also couldn't find a hair dryer anywhere in the room and he once again showed up at our room with a hair dryer shortly after we called. The bed was soft and even the bed in the fold out couch was fairly comfy compared to other hotel fold out couches I've been on. Wifi was strong enough on the 3rd floor to watch videos on YouTube without an issue. When we first got there, the traffic noise from the windows seemed loud. Eventually we realized the windows in both rooms were open slightly. This dishwasher was also extremely noisy but since we only stayed one night, we didn't run it until we were checking out. Given they have full kitchens in all rooms, they don't serve breakfast, something I overlooked when I booked the room. That was my fault for not noticing that but they do have a nicely stocked pantry that you can charge to your room. It's all on the honor system which makes me wonder how many people actually do pay for the things they take from there. If you want something else, there's a Costco across the street and a Meijer just up the road. For the size of the room, the rate was surprisingly low. I don't think I'd have any problem staying here again.
