This is the second time we have stayed here as an overnight stop between Orkney and Mull. It's easy to find, and despite being on a main road is quiet. We had a huge bedroom with a super-comfortable bed and we were very grateful for the window blinds as well as curtains so the room didn't get too light in the morning. I ate in the bar from the specials menu, and the food was excellent, a bit 'different', well cooked and presented. The standard menu looked good as well. Breakfast was served in a different room from the bar with a small, but good selection - the poached haddock was lovely! It's a lovely hotel, with friendly staff. My husband was unwell and there was no heating on in the bedroom but as soon as I asked, it was switched on. However, the radiator really wasn't adequate for the size of room we had and so didn't really make a lot of difference. However, I'm sure in the winner the heating will be on for longer, we'd had awkward warm/cold weather that week so I appreciate it was difficult to know what to do for the best. All in all an enjoyable stay and I'd be happy to stay again - although I do find the practice of taking the balance of monies for the room 14 days before your stay a little odd, this is the only hotel I've found with this practice.

Really lovely family run hotel. Food was excellent and the staff were lovely! Everyone was really friendly and helpful and we both felt really welcome. Restaurant had a really nice relaxed feel to it and the menu choice was very good (with some lovely daily specials!). Would definitely recommend!

The room was comfortable and well appointed. (Though on the 2nd floor you do need to watch out for the sloping ceilings!). Friendly and Half Board good value.

2 stars is a bit too generous based on the experience. Staff were courteous, but somehow unfriendly. Room was in the eaves of the building with little room for a 6-footer to stand up straight, and the 1-night DBB deal (£265), drinks extra, was the worst value of our entire trip. (Don't do DBB unless you want to eat 3 courses, the food was good it should be said)

This charming little hotel has all the comforts one needs for a country getaway and visit to the Highlands. Centrally located. Excellent staff and delicious food offering great local variety. We loved our 2 night stay. Highly recommended.

We booked dinner for our last day of our trip here at invergarry and we were not disappointed, the food was delicious and the service was amazing, the hotel itself was beautiful. We had the lasagne and the burger and the portions were just right, food was presented well and not long to wait for it.

Beautiful rooms, wonderful dinner, great time in lounge and fabulous breakfast. Loved the Masters Suite. My nephew was in room 6. Wish we stayed longer. Loved the scrambled eggs with chives and salmon. Ribeye with blue cheese also fabulous.

The rooms were comfortable and the beds were cosy. Towels were delightfully fluffy. The morning breakfast was flavourful and filling -- especially the cooked Scottish breakfast! All the staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

After arriving in highlands we decided after some glowing reviews to book this for dinner. The location and the surroundings are very nice however the staff need to pull up their socks in terms of customer service and think about their delivery in terms of their demeanour. On arrival at 5.30, all the staff seemed discombobulated and the kitchen at the point of arrival wasn’t even opened to serve food. The blonde manager went out her way to tell us the kitchen was just opening, which we found strange considering it advertises food served all day! I personally enquired about ordering a cocktail and we were simply told, oh no that’s not something we do! As a party of 4 we ordered 3 x fish and chips and 1 x scampi with a side of the haggis Bon Bon’s. Once the food arrived, the fish was ample however 2 of our party had about 10 chips on our plate which we found less than impressive. After a long wait I had to approach the bar area to get the attention of a staff member (a blonde lady who seemed to be the manager) and i asked if we could have some more chips. The lady frogmarched right over to the table and inspected our plates and begrudgingly said she would get us some more fries. At the cost of £20 per portion it was underwhelming and did not hit the spot. Overall we felt the staff rude, abrupt and not customer focused, with especially the older gentleman who really needs some soft skills lessons. I am sorry to say, that I would not recommend people visit here as it’s overrated, overpriced and does not deliver. The staff are unfriendly, curt and really come across as cannot be bothered. I am really not sure how they obtained a 4 star rating as it doesn’t hit this mark.
