The Highland Club

Great for family, staffs are friendly!

We were delighted and treated like royalty at The Highland Club while on a retreat with Spherical Luminosity. Our apartment was furnished everything we could have hoped for and more. The basket of treats, shopping bag, slippers & robes, tennis rackets, and so many amenities at our fingertips were so thoughtful. The grounds themselves are so magical. We enjoyed sitting by the loch and exploring. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We had more than we could have imagined we would need. We highly recommend The Highland Club for any stay!

My wife and I and our two dogs stayed for a week in Courtyard Cottage 3 at The Highland Club. We were warmly welcomed on arrival by friendly staff who gave us good recommendations for things to do around Fort Augustus. The cottage was very well equipped and the welcome hamper was a nice surprise. There were lots of thoughtful touches like towels by the front door for our wet dogs who had jumped in Loch Ness. The cottage had a lovely view of the river and my early morning walk with the dogs along the river to Loch Ness was the highlight of the stay for me. We took our hosts advice and went on some stunning walks around Fort Augustus. It was great that you could choose gentle walks along the Caledonian Canal with a relaxing drink or ice cream at Cobbs by the canal. Being able to walk for miles along the South Loch Ness Trail and then come back for a swim in the beautiful pool was just perfection. I would also recommend the BoatHouse Restaurant which has spectacular views and serves good quality food. Overall, we loved our time at The Highland Club and would highly recommend it as a comfortable, relaxed base to explore the highlands.

This is our second time visiting & will definitely be planning our next trip. The Highland Club has everything you need for a staycation on the Loch Ness. The apartment we stayed in was fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay along with a welcome hamper containing the essentials. There was even a book & Highland cow teddy for my children which was such a personal touch. The staff were so friendly & couldn't do enough for us. Highly recommend for a relaxing family staycation.
