poor hospitality, we ( friends ) popped in twice today , the staff working are dreadful , they only speak to there friends and do not speak to customers , as they are a hotel , and hospitality is there business ?? Yes or No ? previous staff were lovely and friendly , now there is no personal service , its Dreadful

Truly awful hotel. Checked into room 12A and the room is like a sauna, impossible to turn off the radiator and apparently the hotels hot water pipes run through the room and it's not possible to shut these off. Impossible to sleep, complained to the receptionist who seemed uninterested and offered no apologies. Offered a room with a shared bathroom as a replacement which is not what I booked and they point blank refused to give a refund. This place has absolutely NO redeeming features apart from being cheap....avoid at all costs.

I enjoyed an excellent two night stay at the Carlton - my room was cosy, comfortable and extremely good value. The staff are very welcoming and a huge thanks to Phoebe for my excellent Full Carlton breakfasts (don’t miss out on the superb black pudding)!) which were served with a smile. I’d thoroughly recommend this hotel whatever your reason for visiting Forres. 👍

Friendly & central hotel in Forres. Parking very close by. Bar in hotel has entertainment some nights and it’s nice to get the feel of local people. Room was comfortable for our trip and we had no issues during our stay.

Last minute Telephone booking with really helpful and friendly staff. Excellent room rates in a very clean comfortable and large room. Personal touch with a lovely welcome letter and complimentary drinks and sweets popped outside our door that night 🥰 Breakfast service was excellent and the full Carlton hit the spot for our journey home . Wasn’t expecting much due to the low cost but was delighted with every aspect and would defo stay again.

We were so surprised with this little gem! A classic old pub with a relaxed, friendly and fun vibe downstairs seemed unnasuming, but upstairs is a collection of very tastefully styled and massive rooms with tea / coffee facilities.... ours overlooked the pretty town and we wished we had stayed longer. Provided with a complimentary tariff drink at the bar on arrival and an absolutely generous and tasty full Scottish breakfast, this place is extraordinary value for money!

10/10 service, especially from the young lad with the slipknot tattoo, he had a brilliant personality on him and he really took alot of time to explain to us local tourist attractions, and he knew alot about his whiskey which we did go and visit alot of the places he mentioned and absolutely loved them! The rooms were practically spotless so massive well done to the cleaners aswell!! Unfortunately I didn't meet any of the bar staff but I'm sure they would've been just as lovely! Overall the service and staff in here are absolutely amazing! Would definitely recommend!
