After reading the mixed reviews about the hotel, we really weren't sure what to expect. Yes, the rooms are dated and could do with some modernisation, but they were very clean. It wasn't too hot for us, so the fans were fine for us but could imagine it would be unbearable without air conditioning in the summer. The food was very good, a nice selection each meal time and it was replenished throughout meal times. There was always freshly cooked meat, fish and pasta to choose from as well as the usual buffet and salad bar. My 3 year old loved the splash pool, we didn't really go to any of the other pools so can't comment on those. The mini disco was a bit hit too, but the timings were quite hard work with a young child. Dinner didn't start until 7.30 and the disco was 9.15. We made it work, but could do with being a bit earlier. The location was beautiful and we went for a little walk on the beach and board walk most days. We also got the bus a couple of times, it stopped right outside the hotel and was very easy to use. The walk to and from the room and facilities wasn't too bad, you got used to it and it was quite nice to walk a meal off. Overall we had a great holiday!

The whole experience was great, amazing .The location and the walking of about 10 minutes from the top of the resort till the big pool next to the wonerfull sea,the catering and the entire staff kind and willing to do whatever we ask for, even the maids came 5 times to clean the room waited for us to leave the bungallow even washed our dishes ,and the food is the best food we experience on holiday ,a bit of walk to room is essential after hood meals ,we voud take drinks as many and wherever we wanted at the beach, room next beach(always brought back the reusable )it stays with us feeling like we ate still there the images dont express all the chill vibe and colurs ,when we have a glass over the wekends feels line we are there ,great place and bikes with all pacage ,thank you to all tge staff the chefs and entirely all staff ,...

So , where to start , Formentera is a stunning island , visually it is beautiful , the ferry trip over from Ibiza can be a bit of a jaunt but it’s not overly terrible . The hotel itself , first impressions I got from arrival was that …I had over paid, the front of the hotel is tired and dated and in need of a revamp. The front desk staff are welcoming and very helpful but there is no porter to show you to your room or tell you where to go. Walking through the grounds the gardens are beautifully manicured for the first initial meters ( visually from the road they are nice) but then the watering stops and it is plants and pine needles everywhere , the rooms are dated and extremely basic ( think silver standard at butlins) couch beds for the kids , fridge , dated deco and bathroom . We knew there would be no aircon , but the reviews suggested it was manageable which it most definitely is not , even with the windows and doors open the humidity and heat in the rooms were un real , we couldn’t sleep or get cool , every surface was moist with the humidity and the rooms smelt of damp . There are three pools , pool 1 is very quiet and suitable for young baby’s and toddlers , it has slides and shaded areas for family’s and a lunch service for the family when needed , I had absolutely no complaints around this pool, pool number 2 is a pool bar which is suitable for family’s , we named this the poo pool ! This is because over the period of the 10 day holiday no fewer then 7 times the pool had to be closed due to the amount of poo in the pool from the young swimmers , the surrounding area is dirty and slightly mouldy , the drinks machines are continuously surrounded by wasps and bees making it hard to get a drink , the bar staff are friendly and helpful and also serve snacks , there is a shortage of sun beds around this pool also Pool 3 is a salt water pool , we named it the big pool and it is probably the best of the 3 in all honesty , it is large with plenty of sun beds , the pool bar is good with friendly staff and the views are picturesque We were in room 115 which is by pool 1 and 2 and behind the entertainment section, it was 10-12 mins away from the restaurant which is a very long walk in the heat and down the side of a hill , the food is nice and I can’t complain about it at all , staff are friendly and there is lots of choice . The walk back up the hill isn’t great I won’t lie, for small children or the elderly it is a challenge and that’s putting it mildly ! The entertainment is good and the staff are amazing with the children , it is a real multi cultural hotel with a mix of Spanish, Italians , Germans , Dutch , Portuguese and English and the staff speak every language which is amazing . A lot of the pictures show an amazing sandy beach with tropical clear water … the photos are real but not of this hotels beach …. That’s next door , the beach on this hotel is rocky and very small with no sun beds or loungers They do offer water sports and d

We are just back from an amazing 7 nights at Club Maryland with our 3 and 6 year old daughters. I will be honest, despite knowing what to expect from other reviews on here when we first arrived I had concerns we had made a mistake - the room seemed tired, there was limited storage in the room for a family of 4, nor was there a safe, hairdryer or kettle in the room. However we quickly realised none of that mattered and we were too quick to judge! The room and the grounds were immaculately clean, the staff all super friendly and the buffet restaurant was great for all ages (lots of selection and hot plates regularly replenished). The sun beds at the main pool were always reserved early but that was no issue as there were always sun beds up at the splash pool. The splash pool was, in my opinion, the best part of the hotel! It was fresh and clean with sun beds (with parasols) right at the edge of the water to watch the kids from, slides (for all ages from baby to around 12) and lots of room for kids to play in the water - plus a life guard on duty. There is also a pool bar for drinks and snacks (good selection) and an another lovely swimming pool up at that end of the resort too! Our 6 year old wanted to try the kids club and loved it so much she went 4 times (mixture of crafts, games and a trip to the splash pool)! The nightly mini disco was also a huge hit with our daughters! Big shout out to Maya, Georgia and the rest do the InsiClub team for making the kids club so inclusive for children speaking such a variety of languages and still dancing on the stage with big smiles on their faces by mini disco time! One tip - bring a stroller/buggy for small children. Our nearly 4 year old could manage the walk between the pool and the room but there were certainly days one would have made life easier as we definitely walked over 10,000 steps a day all in 28c heat! All in all an amazing family holiday and I would say great value for money compared to other Mediterranean all inclusive options (you just have to accept there is no a/c in your room just 2 ceiling fans - but that in our experience this was manageable).

Had a great week here with my sister and Niece. The staff were all excellent, friendly and helpful. Both the choice and quality of food and drink were brilliant, we all enjoyed the selection of seafood especially. The grounds & beach were lovely. The only slight downsides are that there is quite a lot of steps and slopes on site so we had to do a fair amount of lifting with the buggy & the restaurant opening time was fairly late in the evening for us (but I think we just eat slightly earlier in the UK). Not a big deal as we are on holiday. I would recommend being prepared to set up around the pool/ beach after breakfast to save lugging yourself back up the hill afterwards. We stayed in one of the 200s rooms and it was a quick walk to the splash pool so that was nice in the afternoons. The accommodation was very basic but had what we needed. The outside area didn’t have a screen on the patio so there was quite a drop on the other side, we had to watch my niece very closely when she was out there because of this. Perhaps a glass screen would be a helpful addition. Some of the other rooms seemed to have one. Other than those very minor things we had a fantastic week.

I recently stayed here with my sister and my 3 year old daughter , we had the best time!! The Positives: The grounds are absolutely stunning. Walkways through beautiful curvy trees and pretty flowers, so quiet, amazing views. The staff are SO friendly, welcoming and helpful. Even the chefs behind the food stations would make the effort to smile and say hello. We needed a cot in the room, we asked when we got there and as soon as we got back to the room it had been set up ready to go, with a decent mattress in it and also a very good quality pillow , with bedding! Amazing. We paid a visit to the life guards as my daughter had a little fall around the pool and they were again, so helpful, caring and great with my toddler. The food was SO nice, very fresh, replaced regularly and you always saw the head chef walking around with a smile on his face making sure everything is ok. A fabulous selection & everything was cooked and prepared perfectly. The beach, just beautiful. The sunsets are stunning and the sea is like the Caribbean! So clear! The pools are lovely and clean, we made use of the splash pool which has an excellent selection of slides for all ages, even babies, i loved the lagoon style for this pool, again absolutely brilliant for babies & toddlers. There is a deep pool near this with a pool bar, perfect. And again, lovely and clean surrounded by trees and nature. The salt water pools were also great, cleaned every morning and the entertainment staff around here were fantastic! The mini disco was fun! My daughter was a little reserved but happily sat there clapping along, the entertainment team did a great job & you can tell they're made for working with children! The cleanliness of the room was excellent, the cleaners did a brilliant job every single day changing the sheets, arranging my daughter's teddies and books in her cot nicely, and generally tidying & cleaning up. The drinks in the all inclusive were nice too, we had a lot of gin and Hendrix was a choice so we chose that mostly white wine was lovely! A hell of a lot of positives, we had an awesome time!!! Negatives: Nothing bothered us enough to put us off returning by all means, but if suggestions were to be made I'd say the rooms need updating. I love the old style Spanish rooms, but given other hotels these days it would be nice if the rooms were a tad more modern. Also if the rooms had air conditioning that would be even better, it wasn't TOO hot in June, but I imagine come July/August it could get a little unbearable Also, the walk to the buffet restaurant is great on the way down, but it's hard going on the way back up as it's down a hefty hill. Which is fine.....unless you have a toddler in a pram to push up or lots of beach things to carry, it's hard going. I'd have maybe put the main buffet restaurant up amongst the rooms instead. Speaking of which, the whole resort could be a little more accessible. There's no ramp down to the salt water pool or beach,
