Lovely hotel in extraordinary great setting. Although we were not booked in a sea view room as requested, our room was small but comfortable. The staff was extraordinary, helpful and friendly. Dinners were restaurant quality The matre di was professional and well organized. Breakfast buffet was excellent. The gentleman that ran the snack / concession area was friendly and conversant. Although the shuttle driver was very limited in the runs into Forio, he was willing to do whatever was necessary to be certain the guests were taken care of . A bit far to walk into Forio arrangements can be made Beautiful views, quiet and authentically nice people. Looking forward to a return to Providence.Forio itself was a nice town to stroll through. Best of luck and save us a room. Don and Kath Padova Columbia Ohio/ Philadelphia

Great hotel beautiful grounds, and lovely staff. We have traveled all over Europe and would agree these were very small rooms. We were unable to even put our suitcase down and leave it open. The air conditioning was very weak, leaving the room a little stuffy at night. All in all this was very nice place to spend some quiet down time.

Initially we had booked this holiday pre pandemic and were so excited to finally get to Ischia. The hotel was everything we expected and more. Facilities were excellent. 3 great pools, plenty of sun-beds, an amazing thermal pool and the view was exceptional! From the minute we arrived we were made to feel welcome. The reception staff took care of us and helped us settle in. A big shout out to the restaurant staff, especially Adina Alessandra Giovanni Thomasso Their service was 5 star. A special shout to Nicolleta who kept our room pristine! Cocktails at the bar in the evening made by the fantastic Carmine! They were sensational. The food was 5 star at every sitting. An amazing selection of local foods, all fantastically prepared and served. An unexpected surprise was the 2 classical concerts, they were a treat ! This family run and owned hotel made us feel welcome from the instant we arrived. The staff all made us part of the family and we would be happy to book again. An amazing holiday.

As a well travelled couple, we have come to expect certain standards from a 4 star and this hotel was missing a few basics and needed a few tweaks. No welcome refreshment upon arrival and I appreciate that we opted for Half board (no all inclusive option)we were then hustled into the bar restaurant for something to eat and drink and promptly charged for a pizza and beer. Down to the room (602) on the lowest level..nice clean room, the only option thru TUI was a room with terrace and garden view..no…it was a room with floor slabs, table and chair bit of greenery and a wall…it is no way near the photos advertising this type of room..internet connection lasts about 30 seconds and you have too keep rejoining, and no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, if you want a cuppa you have to go upstairs and pay for it..ohh and a fridge..no complimentary bottle of water..yes you have to pay for that also..nice pool area but it’s 7 euro a week to hire a towel. The pool is in desperate need of a clean, the oil slick on the surface is hard to ignore. No hotel or area information in the room and bbc news is on channel 301, and that’s the only english channel. The food is nice but take your armour as you are going too need it, the starter/anti pasta area is the size of a snooker table and you will be battling with italian and germans who have zero manners to try and get a morsel. It got so bad we forfeited the paid for evening meal and went into Forio every night instead. There are information leaflets dotted around reception and posters scattered about either in Italian (expected) or German… good luck finding anything in English, even the daily evening menu choice that is put on your breakfast table was consistently in German (annoying) A lot of people went to the supermarket for water and snacks including us. If this hotel is trying to entice the british holiday market, it needs to make a few tweaks and reign in the cash cow approach.

Sat down to write a glowing review of our trip to Ischia and then noticed the most recent report from a lady named Patricia. Thought her review was the most eloquently written report and absolutely summed up everything about this marvellous hotel, the proud kind hearted staff and the gorgeous island of Ischia. Struggling to add anything more as she has said everything I would have said and more -it really was that special. The trip to the family farm was an absolute riot of fun and laughter -sensible shoes a must and maybe not for faint hearted as road very steep, narrow and winding but the views from way up high were sensational. Went up as a group of strangers - German,English,Dutch,Scottish and Italian and came down as best of friends -sooo much fun and laughter!!! Local buses cheap and frequent and we bought our tickets at the hotel for only a few cents more than in the town -yes crowded and hot and you need to get your ticket validated at point of entry but just tap your fellow passenger in front and they will pass it down the bus to be stampted and then pass it back to you -worked a dream . Home now and the joy of this holiday still making us smile -it feels like we have been given a big Ischian,Terme Providence hug . Would we go back ? IN A HEART BEAT !!! GRAZIE MILLE to each and every one of you who helped to make our trip such a joy.

We stayed at Hotel Terme Providence in June. The hotel was superb in all ways. It is a medium sized family owned hotel. To the owners the most important thing is that guests have a wonderful holiday. Such a warm and friendly hotel and everyone who worked there was so lovely. I chose the hotel for the food and coffee recommendations I had seen on trip advisor as much as the hotel itself and we were not disappointed. There is an extensive salad and vegetable buffet prior to a three course meal. Each day the menu is different and includes a vegetarian and fish option for both starter and main. The quality of the food was excellent. Fish was so fresh and delicately cooked always as were the salad and vegetable items. Absolute quality. The desserts were incredible. The first night we arrived we had a ricotta cake which we have craved ever since. The proffiteroles I had one night were absolutely the best I have tasted and in a class of their own. For my son the lemon meringue tarts were his dessert highlight with the melt in your mouth pastry. Breakfast is extensive and typically Italian with lots of pastries and sweet items available such as brioche and different types of croissants, fruit, and yogurt as well as a selection of cooked items that I never tried. Coffee was excellent as described in the review that hooked me. The hotel itself has an excellent position and the view from the terraces; sea view rooms and dining room are magnificent. One side the sea in front and behind the mountains. It is a short walk into town and down to the Poseidon beach. A more lively beach which has water sports and volleyball etc. is found just after Forio Porto and is within walking distance. The hotel has a free shuttle service that runs to take you into town in the morning and run you back. We generally liked to walk and enjoy the view as it is so spectactular. The hotel is spotlessly clean everywhere. There is a main swimming pool but also a hot pool thermally heated from geothermal activity under the water. This is so relaxing. Forio is a beautiful Italian town which is lovely to explore, we visited St Angelo, Ischia Ponte and Ishcia Porto as well as the town of Lacco Ameno. Visiting the neighbouring island of Procida is a must. We went to a concert at The Mortella gardens, the quality of the pianists we saw were far beyond our expectations. Our only regret on the holiday was taking the combined excursion to Positano and Amalfi with Capitani Morgan- Amalfi is a tourist trap swarming with people. Due to mechanical problems we never got to Positano. According to people who had been Capri seemed the same. Much better to go to Pozzuoli on the main land and easily accessible by ferry which is a beautiful town with a Roman Amphitheatre, Villa and old town as well as a steaming volcanic crater. A highlight of the holiday was our visit to Casa Monte with the hotel! Learning about the health benefits of the volcanic stone and the traditional wine making was so i

We stayed here with TUI . This is a lovely typical Italian hotel Spotlessly clean and very comfortable both the room and the communal areas. The thermal pool was a lovely addition and great when it rained as it was so hot. The staff were really friendly. The British tourists were in the minority here with majority being German. I think this influenced the food which would have been a big problem for us being vegetarian We opted for B and B rate and were glad we did as veggie choice was really poor basically cheese in different guises eg bread mozzarella as a main course. They did say they we could ask for specific meals but we weren’t confident they really understood the veggie concept and were charging much more than we ended up paying in rester aunts Breakfast was okay with some fruit and cereals scrambled and boiled eggs and bacon for the meat eaters. The quality of stuff could have been better and some fresh juice would be great rather than very strong cordials The coffee was made fresh and espressos were perfection. I recommend getting a double espresso and adding your own boiling water to make an Americano as theirs tasted like instant for some reason There were cakes tarts and things that looked like pastries but were more dense and bread like . There was a lovely chocolate almond cake one day and profiterole type thing but you needed to grab them quickly It is a really very quiet hotel catering for older clientele which was perfect for us in the day but recommend you take the short walk down and visit the Jamm Ja that doesn’t look much but is just perfect friendly and tasty food and the bar across from that Paraviso for drinks half the hotel price with a lovely lively vibe. Then the square in Forio is a bit further down but great to people watch The shuttle bus is a great bonus but the walk down is easy and the walk up is a big steep in parts bug nice to do to walk off dinner. The local buses number 21 and 22 are also okay to use as you will be charged 10 euros for a taxi from Forio or 15 if booked through the hotel

journey was fine, beautifull hotel, if your over 70, was put in a room directly behind the reception so could hear every conversation, breakfast was fab, but dinner food was awful and bland.but the staff was amazing, especially ADINA in the restuarant. we knew it was a quiet place but it was dead. if you have any mobility issues or are under 70, dont go
