We returned to stay here after 1 year. Last year the reception was not the best, but after several complaints (explained in detail in a previous review) we were able to receive adequate treatment. This year we chose to stay here because we had very good memories of the food (huge courses, buffet of dozens and dozens of appetizers. All served flawlessly), the deluxe room and the location practically in the center of Forio. As soon as we arrive at the hotel we check in and immediately after we ask for the menu to choose the dishes to be received for dinner, and we are told that unfortunately the appetizer buffet is no longer made due to covid. First slip since last year there was the same covid but the buffet was done. They accompany us to the room, a standard sea view, mediocre room: a fake double bed, or two single beds pushed together that moved as soon as you sat on it. But aside from that, it lacked dirt, hair on the floor, torn bedspread, dried pee drop on the toilet seat and also stained shower towels and towels. Every morning the bed was badly made, sheets dangling and hair still stuck to them. Outdoor pools found slightly cleaner than last year, but we were still forced to go to the beach because we didn't feel safe using them. The indoor pools, on the other hand, bring a positive note, spaciousness and cleanliness. In the evening we go to dinner, and we find ourselves poor dishes, poorly cooked, tasteless, practically like the dishes of a canteen. Slow staff, it even happened that the chosen dishes were no longer available. Non-existent anticovid rules, most of the staff in the room without a mask, who also took the luxury of coughing between serving one course and another. Tables stuck together, with people sneezing in the air. Upstairs dining room equipped with air conditioners, and therefore with fresh air. Restaurant on the lower floor: a hole, without air, an absurd heat. Positive note of the kitchen the maitre who does his job impeccably. Night porter equally available for any eventuality. As you can see, the negative notes far outweigh the positive ones. Last year, only after strong complaints were we able to get the right treatment. 5 days that I remembered with pleasure, from the room to the food. And even if the outdoor pools sinned, given the many positive aspects, it was not a burden to decide not to use them and go to the sea. Unfortunately this was not the case this year. 3 days, a lot of money and little relaxation and little security. He does not invite us to return !!!! Bad quality-price ratio !!! '
