Lovely little hotel in what must be the best location in Forbach. Rooms spotless, modern and large. We had a terrace with loungers/hammock overlooking the river and bridge which was stunning. If we had the door open the only noise was the water below, door shut pure silence. Breakfast good. Owners really friendly. Highly recommend!

A Japanese restaurant in Schwarzwald? Let's check that out. Surpriselingly good food! Very nice surroundings. Friendly staff. A real treat after a long walk. We had a starter and two vegetarian dishes. Really enjoyed our meal. Spiced just right.

We arrived at the Waldhaus for one night, exhausted and soaked from the long Westweg stage from Dobel. The reception was friendly, and we were shown to our room. A coffee and tea bar was included in the hallway, and a refrigerator with cold drinks was available for a fee. The room was modernized with a beautiful bathroom and a large balcony overlooking the Murg River. Breakfast the next morning was okay, with a good selection of rolls and bread. Credit card payments accepted.

Wunderschönes, hundefreundliches und ruhig gelegenes Hotel direkt an der Murg. Wir hatten ein 3Bett-Zimmer mit Balkon und direkten Blick auf den Fluss. Das Zimmer war modern eingerichtet und das gesamte Hotel sehr sehr sauber. Alle Angestellten waren steht’s sehr freundlich und engagiert. Das Frühstück sehr lecker mit guter Auswahl und gutem Kaffee. Hunde sind willkommen und dürfen auch mit in den Frühstücksraum. Nicht erwartet haben wir ein Restaurant mit japanischen Speisen und waren total begeistert! Unglaublich gut und zu wirklich fairen Preisen. Von uns eine klare Weiterempfehlung.

Das Haus ist wunderschön, liebevoll geführt und mit einem japanischen Restaurant für das Abendessen versehen, wo man allerdings auch Schnitzel essen kann, wer asiatisch nicht mag. Das Personal war stets freundlich und hilfsbereit und unser Zimmer wurde auf Bitten wegen unseres Hundes immer gleich früh gemacht. Wir waren im 2. Stock untergebracht und hatten ein schönes und großes Zimmer mit sehr guten Betten plus eine wunderschöne Terrasse mit Hängematte, Liege, Tisch und 2 Stühlen. Ausblick wunderschön auf die alte Holzbrücke und die Murg. Im Ort selbst ist nicht viel zu unternehmen, aber mit der Gästekarte kann man gratis mit der S8 bis Freudenstadt oder Karlsruhe fahren. Bahnhof liegt oberhalb des Hotels, über die Holzbrücke zu erreichen, in ca. 10 Minuten. Dort befindet sich auch ein großer Netto Supermarkt. Vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt, wir können das Hotel klar weiter empfehlen.
