The art of hospitality includes making guests feel welcome without intruding, ready to help when asked. It includes making the welcome feel strong both when the hotel is full or nearly empty. We arrived a bit later than planned on a busy Saturday and departed on a quiet Monday. Throughout our stay we felt at home in a lovely and distinctive Provencal home. Everywhere, in the public spaces, there is evidence of good decorating taste. Our Standard room was well crafted, decorated with some flair. There was an extremely comfortable bed, adequate lighting and space in the bathroom, quality toiletries and luxurious towels and an emphasis on cleanliness throughout. Saturday dinner, when the hotel was at capacity,, was served with grace and skill. While there were only two choices for each course, they were prepared masterfully. Breakfast here is delightful, with artisanal yogurt, fine breads, freshly squeezed juice and superb coffee. The quiet location, yet in the heart of the village, is ideal. We spend a lot of time planning our trips and have been fortunate to travel widely throughout France and much of Europe over the years. There is a splendid value and quality here that fully met our expectations. We will be pleased to recommend Villa Regalido to our discerning friends.
