Dated. Noisy and not a great sleep as advertised. The room was dated and paint scuffed and dirty marks all over the bathroom had missing bits and broken bits the fan was so noisy you couldn't leave it on while in the bathroom. The shower head didn't move it was stuck solid. So the water literally aimed at the back wall. For 3 night stay there were 2 tbags 2 coffees and 4 sugars 4 milk. Not replaced by anyone you have to do this yourself at reception. The towels 2 bath and 1 hand towel for 2 people is not enough. You again have to book changes and room cleaning we paid the same money per night as someone spending one night I expect my room cleaning and clean towels daily. This is not good policy. The food was just basic frozen stuff . So hot we had window open all the time and the noise outside was awful. The last evening we had no sleep as the room next to us had tv on full blast till 3qm and were shouting all night then delivery lorry at 5am horrendous motorway traffic all the time never again.

Too hot, like others have mentioned the heat is unbearable. 26.5 all night with window open and fan going to try and pump air out. Dated bathroom with red raw plugs poking out of white tiles. Needs a refurb as not very clean overall, and urgently needs air con. Complained to head office and they blamed the weather, despite it being about 13 degrees outside.

Room was lovely. Comfy bed feels like home big and roomey. Staff are lovely and friendly. Not tried the breakfast yet will do on my next stay soon on our 7 year anniversary. Nice and cool in the room as heating if needed bed was nice soft mattress and pillows

I’m a big fan of a premier inn but this is not my favourite. It was a last minute emergency trip across the channel to visit a poorly relative. Good price & comfy bed. Bathroom could do with updating. My issue is we all thought it smelt musty as if there was a problem with damp. We did sleep well & we’re up early for the shuttle so it did the job. I don’t think we will return 😟 We eat dinner in the pub. Staff are all friendly but the food is very poor. Beige, fried food. Filling with zero nutrition. It’s handy after a long drive but nothing else !

I have used Premier Inns before and they never fail, always clean, beds are great for my dodgy back and the pillows are just right. Stayed overnight as we were heading to France, the pub food was great, parking plentiful and easy check in and depart.

What’s the room itself? Is absolutely standard and as you would expect for a Premier Inn comfy bed reasonable facilities et cetera the problem with our room is that it was 26° and there was no ability to reduce the temperature. Please note this is late September not a summer heat wave it was nothing to do with the weather. It was all to do with the room heating. When we informed the reception that our room was like an oven There was little response or ability to make any changes just a shrug of the shoulders to say I’m sorry, but we can’t do anything about it, we know about it but there’s nothing we can do. This made my stay very underwhelming.

Refused check in 10 minutes before check in time due to rooms still being made up. We were 1 of 5 families waiting to check in so unlikely all rooms were still being serviced. Pillowcases were not so clean with stains. Travel cot very cheap and basic chose not to use. The main double bed, every time you slightly moved it made such a noise and was disturbing the family in the room every time. The mattress I do not believe to be a premier inn one. We highly rate their mattresses and always have such a good nights sleep whichever hotel we stay in, not this one. The 2 single beds also awful. The put up single was barely a mattress topper and the other was not so desirable either. We were booked on the shuttle early the next morning so was hoping for a good nights sleep before our 4 hour drive in France. This did not happen and we were a family of 4 very tired people.

We stayed for one night in September, and the room was like an oven. Didn't sleep at all. One small fan and the window opened an inch. Complained to reception, but all the said was it was built to keep heat in and that they should of had air con put it when built. Complained to Premier Inn and got the following reply. I am sorry to hear that you and your guest did not have a good night’s sleep on this occasion due to your rooms being too hot.
