stayed here twice in the past 6 weeks and as good as it was the first time we visited!! had an amazing weekend, staff very accommodating for my disabled fathers needs - especially katie who is an absolute diamond!! i actually cant fault the place - price you pay is excellent value and with the added comedy act from the one and only jason! cant wait to return! thankyou so much once again for looking after us and we are hoping to return before the end of the year!!

I booked this hotel because of the price, and didn't expect it to be so nice! I spent nine nights here, seven in one of the value rooms on the top floor, and for the last two was moved to a much bigger and lovely room on the ground floor (thank you). The 'room at the top' was basic, but did the job nicely. It was up lots of stairs, and there is no lift (just so you're aware - not a problem for me at all). There was not a lot of space to put anything (no wardrobe or chest of drawers), but there were clean sheets on the bed and there was plenty of hot water for the shower, and great views of the White Cliffs of Dover from the window. It was also a really quiet room - perfect! The room on the ground floor was really spacious and comfortable. I was sorry that I'd made plans to go out in the evenings, as it would have been nice to just stay in and relax in such pleasant surroundings! Breakfast was continental, and there was plenty of choice, with the addition of a choice of scrambled egg on toast, croissants or crumpets. All the staff I came across were extremely friendly and helpful - a special mention and thanks for transporting my case up and down those stairs at the beginning and end of my first week. I will be back!

This hotel has very welcoming staff. They were consistently attentive and helpful. I was staying for four nights while I worked locally and room 2 was bright, nicely decorated, clean and large with biscuits with the tea and coffee and a bottle of water provided the first night too. There was a shower and a bidet in the en-suite. There was a large flat screen TV, two sofas and a table and chairs as well as the double bed. Although you check in at the bar on arrival, the staff are very good and will also provide guest parking permits at only £1 a time for 24 hrs so I was able to park directly outside easily. The hotel was quite separate to the bar and caused no disturbance. There was a separate entrance to the breakfast room on the lower floor. It was well lit with tables laid for enjoying breakfast. The breakfast is more than just a continental one. Cereals, yoghurt, fruit juice, meat and cheeses are available alongside muffins and fresh fruit. You can also have crumpets or croissants or scrambled egg on toast served to you. In the evening the bar serves food, which is of a good standard. There is a lot of choice at a reasonable price. A really good stay and they couldn't have been more helpful even when I left without my case and had to arrange a courier to collect it. They obligingly attached labels and took care of it. Wonderful - thank you.

We stayed for a night with our 2 dogs as we were hiking the south east coastal path. Excellent location. Excellent value for money. The hotel is a little dated and tired in places but it was spotlessly clean, had tea/coffee/biscuits, shower bits and fresh towels/bedding. We had a really spacious room and slept really well. We received a lovely warm welcome and the team really couldn’t do enough to make our stay the best it could be. We’d stay again!

Yes, it was a budget hotel so it was a bit run down, lacking in finesse and creaky. However, this was outweighed by the clean comfy beds, the amazing freshly cooked food in Skuba bar, and above all the friendly, welcoming and helpful staff; Alex in particular and the bar staff on Saturday evening. It was also the best location to go to The Leas (an astonishing 1min walk!) and lively venue after with a DJ who played some cracking tunes to a very eclectic crowd. Awesome. We would definitely return 🤩

Where to begin… This hotel is next to a derelict building inhabited by vulnerable people, we had to book in via a karaoke bar, which was closed luckily. We were both very apprehensive about the actual hotel. Anyway the room we were allocated was ok. It was clean , with local artwork and thankfully not bland. There was a lobby with the bathroom and then the bedroom off it. Pillows were far too soft and the headboard was scrolled metal and just awful. Please replace it with a solid one. The radiator in the room couldn’t be turned off , so we had to have the window open. Quite noisy after midnight from guests returning to the hotel. Didn’t have a good nights sleep, again disturbed by the refuse collection quite early. This is definitely a budget hotel but actually better than others we have stayed at.

At £60 a night for a 4 bed room our hopes were not high and let’s say they were perfectly met. We had booked the parking by the Skuba bar for £6 a night which became a hilarious farce - every time we came back to the car someone was parked in front of it and every time we came back to park again there was a car in the parking space. Each time moved without complaint but really not the glorious convenience we imagined. The room was fine, good value for the money, the beds were comfortable enough and the bedding seemed clean. Don’t inspect the top of the wardrobe though. The staff were friendly but really Skuba bar on a Friday night is a bit Wild West. We couldn’t really hear the bar from our first floor room but it was definitely lively in there. There was no food on when we were there but staff encouraged us to order in which we did. The whole hotel is tired and a bit grotty in places but I think the prices reflect that. Out of our bedroom window we could see both the sea and a big pile of old mattresses and furniture. We enjoyed ourselves and were only sleeping there. If you want luxury and no dust on your wardrobe you need to pay more. But we came away with a feeling of mild affection for the place and relief that we had left.

Truly awful experience. We had a room booked and could not make it - when we contacted them we were promised a refund if they could re-let it. When they did they refused to give the refund. When we contacted them they were very abusive and blocked our numbers. We have since found out we were lucky not to stay there as it is all shabby and the hostility we got on the calls extends to guests
