Provalma

This was a wonderful location with unsurpassable views; the management was very attentive and responsive to all our requirements. There were fabulous breakfasts. The individual apartments were well appointed and very well maintained.

This was our first visit to Folegandros and we are very happy we stayed at Provalma. This is a very special peaceful place with a private atmosphere that does not feel like a hotel. The set up is very interesting with 5 spacious separated rooms only and a pool, not much more, but great rooms, fantastic absolutely homemade breakfast that is brought to you as per your wishes in a basket in the morning. The owner Yiannis is very present and easily approachable. Then we need to mention the absolutely awesome views since the location is high up on a hill. Eating outside in the morning overlooking the sea and the Chora far in the distance is very special. Also the evenings with only the stars above and absolutely silent - this to us was really special. When staying at Provalma you do need a car or four wheel drive vehicle to get around. Ours was delivered to Provalma fast as agreed and the car was very affordable. Dinners we ate mostly at the Chora that has a very special feeling with good restaurants. The Chora is a must to visit in the evenings. Best sunsets at the Church above the Chora, at some of the hotels below the Chora or just on the other side of Provalma over the hill. Was great to get to know Yiannis and hear about his future plans with Provalma. Thanks again Yiannis and good luck. Hope to return again.

I cannot begin to show my appreciation to Yiannis for his kindness and hospitability! We had arrived in Folegandros having booked and paid another accommodation that we did not like at all when we arrived, so we started searching for something else quickly. This is how we came across Provalma, I called them and Yiannis understood our situation, gave us a very good last minute price for 3 nights booking and helped us with the transfer. The location itself is a dream, we could not have wished for anything better! The views are incredible, the rooms are a combination of traditional and modern greek, very cosy, spacious and spotless clean. The breakfast is delicious and the pool side is great for relaxing. But most of all it is Yiannis and his friendly presence, always there to help and support even for ad hoc situations. It was the best stay ever in Greece and surely we will surely return to this corner of paradise!

This property is among my all time favorites! The setting is truly spectacular, and the architecture and landscaping have been deliberately curated to make the most of the location. If you can bear to leave such a perfect place, hiking and short drives offer more rewarding views and a window into life on this lovely island. Chora is only minutes away by car for restaurants and strolling the atmospheric town. We stayed 5 nights and loved every minute! Yiannis and Alexandra, helper Luis, all went out if there way to make our stay lovely and offer help with logistics. The breakfast is wonderful, with a lovely presentation too! Personal studios and the inviting pool make this a very comfortable choice!

Provalma is a delight! Hosts, Yiannis and Alexandra are friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. It has majestic views at dawn, dusk and in between, viewed from our beautiful studio and terrace. The breakfast is generous and delicious, a great way to start the day. Folegandros has some fantastic walks and beaches, it was always refreshing to return to Provalma's gorgeous pool. We are already planning our return.

What an absolutely fantastic place to stay. Provalma is situated on a hillside a few km from Chora and very close to another town on the island, Ano Meria. Because of its location, it is very quiet and peaceful, without much noise or other disturbances. The rooms are very unique and beautiful. We stayed in the Aggali suite, which I recommend as it is detached from the other 4 or 5 suites and has more panoramic views, which, by the way, are absolutely stunning. I think the views from this hotel might be the best I have ever experienced. The bathroom is nice with a unique design, and the beds are very comfortable. Water pressure in the sink is great, and water pressure in the shower is not as strong, but I think considering the somewhat remote location, etc... it is very good, I am sure it is complicated to get high pressure to a location like this. Each morning, you fill out a room service card for your breakfast choices the next day and pick the time of delivery. Food was simple yet excellent, orange juice tastes fresh squeezed, and everything was delicious each day. There is a small pool with beautiful views while you lay there. Water is chilly but refreshing. Overall, we had a lovely time, and Yannis, the owner, was always very accommodating, offering free shuttle to and from the port and assisting us with calling local businesses, etc... I couldn't rate it more highly.
