Provalma

This is our third year returning to Provalma and it always feels like a homecoming thanks to Yiannis and his family. The property is stunning with breathtaking views over the Aegean, a lush, lovingly tended garden and a collection of tastefully decorated rooms that reflect the charm and character of the island, with a sophisticated vibe. And then there are the breakfasts! After watching the sun rise, you’re treated to a personal breakfast basket delivery which you can tailor to your tastes. Fresh fruit, Greek yogurt, local pastries, and freshly squeezed orange juice along with Yiannis’ perfect cappuccinos! Yiannis and his family are the essence of warmth, generosity, and Greek hospitality. This is a very special place- a true treasure on a spectacular island.

A beautiful spot on Folegandros! Great accommodation with a super nice host! It was the second time I stayed at Provalma and it was for sure not my last time! Not to forget to mention the delicious home made breakfast!

This was our first visit to Folegandros and we are very happy we stayed at Provalma. This is a very special peaceful place with a private atmosphere that does not feel like a hotel. The set up is very interesting with 5 spacious separated rooms only and a pool, not much more, but great rooms, fantastic absolutely homemade breakfast that is brought to you as per your wishes in a basket in the morning. The owner Yiannis is very present and easily approachable. Then we need to mention the absolutely awesome views since the location is high up on a hill. Eating outside in the morning overlooking the sea and the Chora far in the distance is very special. Also the evenings with only the stars above and absolutely silent - this to us was really special. When staying at Provalma you do need a car or four wheel drive vehicle to get around. Ours was delivered to Provalma fast as agreed and the car was very affordable. Dinners we ate mostly at the Chora that has a very special feeling with good restaurants. The Chora is a must to visit in the evenings. Best sunsets at the Church above the Chora, at some of the hotels below the Chora or just on the other side of Provalma over the hill. Was great to get to know Yiannis and hear about his future plans with Provalma. Thanks again Yiannis and good luck. Hope to return again.

My husband and I often say we won't return to the same place twice, mainly because there are so many places to explore. The exception is Provalma. We first came last year and were absolutely wowed by the beauty and Yiannis' incredible hospitality! We returned again this year and were once again treated to an exceptional experience. This is a very special place - with its spectacular views, lush gardens, and sparkling pool- perfect for early morning and late afternoon swims. The rooms are beautifully appointed and serene, with a sophisticated and relaxed esthetic that mirrors the natural beauty of the island. Provalma's breakfast deliveries are another highlight. Every breakfast features a choice of fresh local yogurt and cheese, mixed fruit, muesli, local baking, fresh squeezed juices, and Yiannis' frothy cappucinos! The best coffee - hands down. Above all, it's the generous hospitality and warmth of Yiannis and his family that stays with you and will keep you coming back.

This property is among my all time favorites! The setting is truly spectacular, and the architecture and landscaping have been deliberately curated to make the most of the location. If you can bear to leave such a perfect place, hiking and short drives offer more rewarding views and a window into life on this lovely island. Chora is only minutes away by car for restaurants and strolling the atmospheric town. We stayed 5 nights and loved every minute! Yiannis and Alexandra, helper Luis, all went out if there way to make our stay lovely and offer help with logistics. The breakfast is wonderful, with a lovely presentation too! Personal studios and the inviting pool make this a very comfortable choice!

Stunning accommodation on a stunning island. Attention to detail is everything to Alexandra, Yiannis and their family. We had two studios for five nights. Both were elegant and comfortable, and had incredible views of the sea and nearby Chora. Great care had gone in to creating a tranquil garden and pool setting, which provides a colourful oasis as you look across the dry Folegandros hills towards the Chora. Delicious breakfasts are provided daily, including homemade pastries, cakes and jams. Yiannis and Alexandra were fantastic hosts. We were travelling with a baby and they went out of their way to make our stay as easy as possible. Our time at Provalma and Folegandros rates highly as one of our best holidays in Greece. We can’t wait to come back! Thank you Yiannis and family.
