Nice location in quiet village near Assen (DR). Had a great night sleep in comfortable beds (without footend !). Fantastic eating and drinking facility as well. Owners and staff extremely friendly and attentive with a good eye for detail. Highly recommended.

Rooms simple, fine for 1 night. No heating in the bathroom, it was very cold. We had to move the coffee maker to use it, they didn't think about it. Chose this hotel also because of the restaurant, the kitchen turned out to be closed. Without passing this on to the guests, this is also not on the internet. Had coffee and had a cookie that was way out of date. This was reported but without an appropriate solution. We won't come here again! It would have been nicer that a paying customer is informed when booking that the kitchen is not available!

Personal contact with the owners. Clean and spacious rooms. Good breakfast. Tasty wines and cheeses. Above expectations. Enthusiastic and ambitious owners. The breakfast was good. The hotel is being modernized more and more. The price-quality ratio is right. You wouldn't expect such a hotel in such a small village.

Great hotel for a great price. Don't expect any bells and whistles, but nice rooms with good beds and nice shower, TV and coffee and tea facilities. Nice lunch, excellent breakfast. Excellent service, very hospitable staff. Recommended as a base for cycling and walking.

Breakfast buffet is really great! Enough different choice. Rooms are neat! Shower and bathroom are great. Neatly of this time. Very hospitable hotel. Motorcycles were allowed in the garage. Friendly staff who do their very best to make you happy.

Friendly reception. Feels like coming home! The kitchen is great! Nice menu with also local beers. Large room with excellent beds. The hotel is very centrally located. Nice quiet area. Ideal for walkers and cyclists, but a trip to Assen (museum) is also definitely worthwhile. To be repeated!

Nice spacious room; a very large (and long) bed and also a spacious bathroom. The restaurant's kitchen is top-notch, with 2 experienced and innovative chefs. We love walking in the woods around Elp and regularly try to spend a long weekend in this nice hotel.
