Stayed here for two nights to check out the city. Location and accommodations were great. • Very walkable to all the nearby tourist attractions in Piazza del Duomo. • Little to no outside noise despite being tucked away off the main road. • The exterior of the building was much older than expected but the room was very accurate to the photos. • Andrea from reception was friendly and helpful from our check-in to check-out. He helped lug up our way-too-heavy bags and scheduled a taxi ride ride for us. • We didn't take advantage of the breakfast service, but the designated dining area was spacious. • The room itself was large and perfect for a quick stay. Thanks for a great stay!

It seems that I am the first to make a comment, so please make a serious comment~ I booked a suite on Ctrip, but from the booking picture, the hotel gave me not a suite, it should be regarded as a deluxe double room. However, because the grandmother at the front desk was so kind and enthusiastic to tell us the location of the traffic spots in Florence, we didn't bother to mention the suite. After all, Ctrip didn't provide a picture and the price was cheap. First of all, this location is quite far away from the railway station, and you have to take a taxi. The taxi in Florence is very expensive and expensive. I took a taxi from the railway station for 16 euros. You can walk to various attractions, but it is quite far away and acceptable. If it is convenient, don't choose here. I struggled with this hotel for a long time. I was mainly confused by the pictures of this hotel. I thought it was a boutique hotel with a special niche in a paradise. I was also attracted by the Ferragamo travel outfits written in the booking review! It is indeed a newly renovated and exquisite boutique hotel, but there was no Ferragamo shower shampoo when I went, and I happened to encounter an elevator failure, the bathroom door could not be closed, and the breakfast environment was quite good, but the category was a bit small, every day I don't know what to eat in the morning. But the flaws are not covered up, it's still pretty. But next time I come to Florence, I will not choose here, the taxi fare is too expensive!

B&B Lorena Suites

Campo di Marte Florence|0.27km from Parrocchia di San Francesco
We had a lovely stay at Lorena Suites. The staff were so friendly and helpful despite my embarrassing lack of Italian. Our room was large and beautifully decorated with plenty of places to store our items. It was clean with an excellent cold shower - just what you need after exploring all day in 40 degree heat! Air conditioning was also very welcome as was the well stocked mini bar - this felt reasonably priced in comparison with local shops and provided a few local Italian aperitivo as well. We had a balcony which offered an excellent view of the sunset over the tuscan countryside. When we arrived and realised we were on the 5th floor, I was very grateful to note there was a lift available to take us and our bags up. Lorena is roughly 20 minutes walk from the duomo but you aren’t too far from other points of interest. We spent €10 in a taxi to get there from Santa Maria Novella station and it was €18 to get back and the host was very helpful in arranging this taxi back for us. When we arrived, the taxi driver pointed out a restaurant on the corner (out of the gates and turn left) which he said offered the best bistecca in Florence. We were dubious but tried anyway and it was incredible - if you want authentic Italian cuisine and company would highly recommend skipping the walk back into the busier areas and going here instead. It is worth noting that some of the rooms face onto quite a busy main road. While this was not an issue at night, in the morning this was quite loud from early on - best to make sure the shutters are fully closed as we found this (plus a couple of bottle of chianti Classico) made for a peaceful lie in. All in all we had a wonderful stay in Lorena Suites, all was fantastic and we cannot wait to find an excuse to come back and visit!

The hotel is clean , but tired. I did not appreciate being told to sit a specific table for breakfast even when there were clearly several empty, was totally snubbed when asking for hot water for tea. Male concierge added 30% onto the price of bus tickets , next days' tickets were as priced on the actual ticket. Makes them untrustworthy. Poor breakfasts . And service is bad. Itallians get treated well and english are NOT . They don't know how to treat paying guests with equal respect . Its obvious they are blatantly discriminate.

We arrived at the hotel pretty late as we were travelling from Rome. Gabriele was pretty prompt and sent us all the necessary information ahead of our arrival as the reception service was until 3pm on Sunday. The room was surprisingly nice and clean, and indeed exceeded our expectation. Even though for just a night I thought this was a pretty good one. Nearby hotel has a nice pasta restaurant Al Peposo, just need to walk about 10 mins. Day time you can just walk towards town areas, you won’t get bored with the surroundings.

The location is about 15-20 minutes walk from the center. The staff were very kind and pleasant, such as telling me the location of the tourist spot using a map. The luggage storage after checking out was done until about 19 o'clock. The disadvantages are that there is no toothbrush and hair dryer, and the toilet is shared. However, the toilet was clean and he lent me a hair dryer if I asked.
