Florence Santa Maria Novella Hotels

the hotel is clean, modern and has good location as the tram is right outside. everything was great except that all my jewellery were stolen while i left my room to roam around the city. all my jewellery was worth at least Eur 3,000. i left them in a box which was placed in my luggage since there was no safe in my room. but when i came back to the room after a whole day out, all the jewellery were gone. the hotel managers were helpful initially, saying they would investigate and compensate me for my loss. but after i gave them all the receipts and credit card transactions of those items which were stolen from me, the managers just ignored my emails despite me trying to ask them for any updates on the progress of my case. at the very least, they could show me the cctv and allowed me to talk to the cleaner/staffs entering my room while i was away but that didn’t happen. i dont even know what is going on now that im already back to my home country, and the hotel did not even bother to update me anything even though they promised to investigate and compensate. hopefully, someone fm the hotel could see this and get back to me please! im honestly traumatised, nvr expected that my stuffs could be stolen right inside my room in a reputable hotel.

The hotel is incredibly close to the train station, which unfortunately means the immediate surrounding area can be a bit concerning for safety. However, the moment you step inside, you instantly feel completely safe and secure. The staff are all exceptionally thoughtful and attentive. The rooms, though not large, are very cozy and inviting. Housekeeping was impeccable and thorough every day, and the staff's honesty was truly remarkable – they didn't even touch the tips left for them.

The hotel is located in a prime area, right outside the train station, offering easy access to the airport, attractions, and restaurants. The reception staff were friendly and always available to assist with any questions or requests. The double room we booked was clean and well-maintained. The breakfast provided by the hotel had a wide variety of options with great quality. All in all, we had a pleasant stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for convenience during their travels!

I recently stayed at Popartment in Florence, and overall, it was a great experience. The room was incredibly spacious, providing plenty of room to relax after a day of exploring the city. The amenities offered were more than sufficient, making the stay comfortable. I particularly appreciated the kitchen area, which allowed for some light cooking. The breakfast provided was decent, with a good selection to start the day. The neighborhood around Popartment was quiet and serene, which made for peaceful evenings, yet it was conveniently close to restaurants and shops. A short walk to the tram stop made it easy to access the city's main attractions, and the nearby establishments provided a variety of options for dining and shopping. The one area where improvement could be made is with housekeeping. While it’s understandable that the room isn't cleaned daily, I would recommend at least providing a service to take away the trash regularly. Overall, Popartment is a solid choice for anyone looking for a spacious, well-located, and peaceful stay in Florence.

Super friendly staff from the concierge to their kitchen staff. Very enjoyed the room we received as it was very spacious and clean. Great variety of breakfast options and they never left the plates empty for long always had it topped quickly. Fresh coffee served. Location was great we parked our car overnight and walked majority of the time staying here. Lots of places to eat and drink locally. Definitely revisiting this hotel if we get the chance to revisit Italy!

Hands down, this was the best hotel we stayed at in Italy during our European trip. The room was incredibly spacious, featured a bathtub, and the breakfast buffet was superb. It comfortably accommodated the three of us. The hotel is directly accessible from the main train station by taking the T2 tram (towards the airport), which is about a 13-minute ride. While it's a bit further from the old town, the tram connection makes it incredibly convenient to get around. Personally, I prefer not to stay in the old town; it tends to be noisy and crowded. Plus, hotels there often feel cramped and lack good natural light.

Rooms was large. We booked 2 rooms for 2 adults and 3 children, the larger room could actually fit 4 adults (there was 1 King bed + 1 Double sofa bed). Other than that service was normal, consistent for a hotel for tourists. The front desk employees tend to smoke at the outdoor courtyard next to the reception with the doors open causing the lobby area to smell of cigarette smoke. Location of the hotel was really great. Walking distance from Firenze Santa Novella train station and close enough to the touristic sights in Florence.

⭐⭐☆☆☆ 2/5 Nice room, but hidden fees and disappointing location The room itself was beautiful — clean, stylishly decorated, and comfortable for a solo traveller, even if it was a little smaller than expected. So credit where it’s due: the physical space was lovely. Unfortunately, a few things really affected my stay. I was asked for a €50 per night deposit upon check-in, which came as a complete surprise. This was not mentioned anywhere when I booked, and it hit hard as a solo traveller on a tight budget. I lost €100 before I even saw the city, and it honestly dampened the whole experience. The staff at check-in were cold and not welcoming at all, which made the arrival feel awkward. Thankfully, check-out was much better — the person on the desk was kind and friendly, which helped leave things on a slightly better note. As for location: it’s not ideal. The hotel is tucked behind the main train station down some pretty dirty, sketchy-feeling streets. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the Duomo, and for the price I paid, I expected to be much closer to the centre. Overall, the hotel itself is fine — but in the wrong location and definitely the wrong price bracket. Unless the prices come down and they’re more transparent about deposits, I wouldn’t stay here again.

The actual scene is exactly the same as the promotional picture. It's very close to the train station and the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. The two sisters at the front desk are also super nice. You can also store your luggage for free for a long time! I deposited my luggage from 9 am to 19 pm. Don't worry about getting off work. We will tell you the gate password and let you pick up your luggage by yourself! The main point is trust, and of course it is mutual!
