We spent some time out of the hustle and bustle of Florence to visit these beautiful gardens. The gardens, water features, and sculptures are works of art in this expansive garden from the Medici era. When you’re immersed in the gardens, you forget you’re in the middle of a large city. Comfortable footwear is a must because there are quite a few inclines, steps and trails throughout the garden. The spectacular views of the city make this a must see! Grab a map so you don’t miss any of the tucked away features. My favorite exhibit was the Fountain of the Little Snouts!

We spent an hour wandering these beautiful gardens before our dinner in Santa Croce neighborhood. It was fun to think about all the history that took place in this area,

The gardens are exquisite. They are old and wild as expected but just so charming. The fruit trees are heavy with fruit and the beautiful mature trees give relief to the summer sun. I started on the left side and made my way around the entire huge park. There are many secret corners and places to sit. There are manicured formal lawns and gardens but I preferred the wild meadows and original fountains. The amphitheater is in beautiful condition. The highlight is the gentleman’s balcony at the top of the park. The views of the Tuscan hills and of Florence are exceptional. My suggestion would be to offer e-bike hire to transverse the park.

We were looking for some space after spending the previous day doing the key tourist sites in Florence. We enjoy visiting gardens as we travel around. These gardens , while not in their prime, were worth the effort. For a nice walk, through formal gardens. Hedges, treed avenues, and large water features. A glimpse into the wealth of this amazing citys past. View points from wlevated terraces. Long views over formal lawns that meet the entrance of grand mansions. Florence, old town and beyond, creates unforgettable images. Would certainly recommend.

This felt like a beautiful park you could roam around all day or find a shaded spot to read a book. We saw lots of artist drawing in the garden. Although the garden wasn't meticulously kept it was full of natural beauty with lots of statues to admire.

Tired. Old in a bad way. Over priced and a thoroughly dull experience. These gardens must be the worst I've ever visited. Spare yourself the disappointment. Nothing floral. Not a single rose. Murky ponds. No fountains. And 10 euros each is a rip off.

Do not waste the 10 Euros in winter - most of the buildings including the lemon house were closed. The view at the top was nice but everything else was drab and the fountains were not working. Overall, a very disappointing experience. Spring or Summer would be better and cheaper!

Definitely not worth the €11 paid to walk through what is in effect a dessicated hillside park. Only points of interest and relief were a vast ampi theatre, and a large pond which one could walk around, but not across to the small island, behind a fence. Not sure I would visit it even if it were a public park.

Not worth the time.. dry, run down, very poorly maintained (or at all?). No flowers, nothing, the signs are the best thing there… the fountains and the sculptures nothing special. Good for the kids yo run around, but no perks. View ok, but still not worth the time. Skip it. Go get an ice cream, hang out on Ponte Vecchio, wander the streets, take a taxi anywhere…
