B&B Lorenzo de' Medici

Carmine is the best host we have ever had. He extended his help with every step of our trip- from letting us drop off our bags early, giving us endless recommendations, carrying our bags up the stairs, and even helping after check out. He made sure our train came and went safely. The room was stocked with everything you need and spotless clean. Great location with plenty to do and walk to! Thank you for an amazing stay :)

Fabulous place in the heart of Florence. Carmine was super helpful in getting me oriented to the city and sending me several great recommendations of places to visit, eat, etc. (including letting me know which places would be closed on Sunday and Monday). The breakfast buffet was incredible with lots of items to choose from and all you can eat. I met some other guests in the breakfast room, and we all commented on how much we loved this place.

The property is in a fantastic location, less than a 10 minute walk from the station, close to a variety of restaurants and markets. We found it to be within reasonable walking distance from all the major things to see and do in Florence. The accommodation is spacious, very clean and modern within an old building. The supplied continental breakfast is delicious with many options including gluten free food. Carmine is an excellent host who went out of his way to help make our stay in Florence very enjoyable. There was nothing we didn’t like. The accommodation is currently accessed by two flights of stairs, however the owner is in the process of having a lift installed. He even carried out suitcases up the stairs.

After a problem with the b&b we booked we turned up at the Lorenzo De Medici unannounced looking for a couple of rooms. We were sorted within the hour and we can't thank them enough. We were provided with a host of information on where to eat and visit. Every recommendation was perfect 👌. The apar**ents were very clean and comfortable and breakfast set is up for the day. I can't remember a more hospitable host, we will return without hesitation.

Carmine is an amazing host! The room was very clean and had everything we could want. You can check out and leave your baggages if you would like to explore the city. There was also breakfast included which was godsend! It was delicious. Thank you again Carmine, our trip was everything we wanted thanks to you!

Outstanding location within walking distance of everything really including the train station and all of the major landmarks. Carmine was so polite and helpful with recommendations for restaurants as well as providing information on anything we had planned to do. Breakfast was wonderful, with fresh pastries, fruits, meats, cheeses, and so much more. The room was very nice with modern touches. When we return, we will want to stay here again. My partner and I spent a weekend in Florence and had an amazing stay here. The accommodation is a short walk from the tram station and the central market with easy access to all the major sites. Our room was clean, modern, spacious, comfortable and well-appointed with a lovely bottle of Chianti awaiting our arrival. The breakfast is extensive with a good range of options and a great choice of good quality products. The host, Celestine, is the kindest, most caring and considerate man you will ever meet who went above and beyond in ensuring that we enjoyed our weekend away. His communication pre-arrival was excellent. He greeted us on arrival and carried our cases up two flights of stairs, and then spent time making some excellent recommendations in terms of restaurants and places to visit on our arrival. I was seriously ill on our last day of our stay and Celestine checked in regularly with my partner sending regular messages to see if I was ok or needed anything. Following the cancellation of our flight back to the UK on the Sunday evening due to the storm, Celestine was extremely helpful in allowing us to keep our room and extend our stay for another night. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this accommodation to anyone who is looking to stay in Florence.

We are first time Europe travellers and stayed here in Dec 2023. The hospitality at this B&B is the best you will find anywhere. The hosts were incredibly friendly and let us leave our bags before our room was ready, gave us so many helpful recommendations, provided us with complimentary wine & chocolate, and provided a delicious breakfast each morning . The room was incredibly clean and the location is close to the train station (10min walk) and within walking distance of all the major city sights. We would recommend this accommodation for anyone travelling to Florence.
