.This hotel is unique. A perfect, beautiful, large room with a view to the river There are fresco paintings on the ceiling in the room and on other ceilings in public areas of the hotel. The service was excellent, accurate and friendly. The most beautiful places and monuments are just a few minutes walk from the hotel. For example: Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Pitti and the Boboli Gardens, the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella. There are lots of restaurants, souvenir shops, clothing stores and grocery stores right next to the hotel.

Superb location, a short walk from Ponte alla Carraia. We were in room 3 and had a beautiful view of the river. The hotel was incredibly spacious, with high, fresco ceilings. The rooms were simple but effective. The breakfast room is a work in progress, but when this opens, the room it’s situated in is very nice. Hotel staff incredibly friendly and helpful. No complaints whatsoever and would happily return the next time I visit Florence.

Location is convenient. Rooms are small, but to be expected of an older hotel. Breakfast is excellent. Beds are low, as there is only a mattress and no box springs. There is mold on bathroom walls, shower curtain and shower head. The beds were made up each day and fresh towels. But bathroom wasn’t cleaned and empty soap container in bathroom wasn’t replaced.

Perfect location, beautiful room overlooking the river. Not a traditional hotel but perfect service and excellent value for money. Would stay again! Location was great for exploring Florence, we walked everywhere! Charming little spot
